บท 59: King Kobold - [ Chapter - 59 ]
Once Ho-Seok was ready, he then asked, "Calin, please change your forms into some daggers.", after saying that, Calin changed his form into two different blades, one of the blades had the color of pure white and the other had an extremely dark black color, and he was curious to see what were it's abilities.
So Ho-Seok started to appraise the white and black dagger form, he saw it had a special ability alongside it's strong form. There was actually two abilities, the first was "Life" which allowed him to heal any wounds if he pours mana into the while dagger and "Death" which corrupts anything it touches if he pours mana into it.
Which made Ho-Seok pretty happy, since healing skills that didn't require divine energy was quite rare even among mages. So the ability was a pretty lucky find but the death skill would be useful in making his attacks that didn't or couldn't kill his enemy into a fatal attack if they aren't able to stop the corruption.
Ho-Seok quickly went to a forest to test out the dagger form and mastery, and as he entered the forest, his armour was a bit restricting on how he wanted to move while using the daggers so he asked Olivia to transform into something more open and free while keeping his body covered for protection.
As she changed forms, she changed into a similar clothing to a ninja, and there was even a scarf attachment to it that would also cover his face so he got the idea to use different identities in the Tower so that it would be a lot harder to track him and find him if they don't know which is the real persona.
Alongside this, it would be harder for them to track if he suddenly switches to a new identity which would allow him to do a lot more stuff but the biggest problem was his face, he knew he could get a simple or a pretty well face changing skill but it would leave traces of mana which any strong person could see through.
After a while of thinking, he decided to put a pin in it for now and test out his new form, and now as he was moving he felt a lot less restricted but now he felt that his body was more open, so he wanted to test if the defense from Olivia changed alongside the form and so he quickly searched for a monster to test this out from.
Then as he found one, he quickly locked all of his abilities except the ones he needed for one minute using the transfer function and let it attack him, it was actually a kobold, it was holding a rusted metal dagger once it saw Ho-Seok it immediately charged at him trying to kill him.
But as the kobold ran at him, his dagger broke as it touched the seemingly soft fabric, so it suddenly then got out it's claws and trying to smack and scratch Ho-Seok but there was no damage to him, so as Ho-Seok smiled he decided to test out the death ability and so he started to pour mana into the black dagger.
He then dashed through the kobold as his stats were still locked and he only had his dagger mastery skill with some of basic stats, and as he did this the kobold's head was cut cleanly off, it was even more smoother whenever he uses the sword but as he was looking at the corpse it suddenly started to bubble.
The bubble was a purple poison color and the flesh, bones and blood of the kobold was decomposing rapidly and in only a matter of seconds the body was gone completely without a trace of it being even killed except from when it fell to the ground but now Ho-Seok was able to get a new idea with the ability.
Now he was able to do clean assassinations, he just needed a more decent stealth ability or skill and once to remove outside signs of the victim being killed and he'll be able to perfectly act like an assassin without leaving any marks or evidence that he or the victim were ever there to begin with.
But after testing out the dagger, he now really wanted to try using a bow again, although he didn't have any particularly bow skills that were better than the Sword, chain and martial skills, he was most comfortable with a bow actually since thay was his first ever weapon and the one he used a lot in his first life.
Although he wanted to test it out, he decides he would try it out by taking the test to go to the 7th floor, so he started traveling to the gate for the next floor as the restrictions for his panels were now over except for the ones that weren't actually used as restrictions since the one minute was now finally over.
While Ho-Seok was now moving at rapid speeds, Calin already changed his form into an elven bow and so Ho-Seok was pretty happy about it as he looked at it's description and he saw that it didn't need arrows to shoot with it as it could use mana to create arrows that were a lot stronger than regular ones.
Calin also forcefully addedore bow abilities and skills to his form. There were rules even when Calin and Olivia absorbed other weapons and equipments, there was a limit on how many abilities and skills could be used at a time and their form also affected on how they'll use the abilities and skills.
Although the form they would choose would be strengthened a lot more than the original version so the skills and abilities of that form would be even stronger than the original itself. So Calin only added two more abilities since they were able to fit the form he was currently in at the moment.
It was "Growth" and "Spirit Energy" which the first one just made the impact, speed and size of the arrow bigger and the second just imbued spirit energy into the arrows randomly choosing one and it would lock onto targets. So they were all pretty passive abilities but it would definitely help Ho-Seok when he battles the boss.
Once he arrived at the gate, he quickly entered it as he was now transported into a cave that had loads of ores and rare minerals, and Ho-Seok smiled as he started collecting them before the boss appeared since he knew that all of it would disappear if he didn't collect them and the boss was defeated.
But as he was collecting, a huge quake appeared and suddenly a huge mech appeared from one of the sides of the cave and there was an old kobold riding it. As Ho-Seok appraised the boss, there were two tabs the first one was called "Kobold Engineering King" and the other waa "Kobold Mech".
Both of their stats were pretty high, but it seemed like the kobold king's intelligence stat was a lot higher than it's physical stats however the mech made up for it, since all of it's specs and stats were high but it needed a rider, so Ho-Seok just needed to kill the kobold riding the mech.
