บท 57: Sibling Rivalry - [ Chapter - 57 ]
[First are the rewards for clearing the mess you, it won't be a lot since it was your mess in the first place but it's a function called "Transfer", you are allowed to transfer the cooldowns for your panels to other panels however it needs to be an equivalent exchange.]
Ho-Seok was pretty happy with the reward and so he then checked his panels and tried placing the cooldown for his chain mastery panel to another panel that already had a cooldown but as he found out, the panels all had their own cooldown limits they could hold.
Their limits also become smaller the weaker the panel was, and so maxing out the panels that already had cooldowns to exchange for his chain mastery panel didn't work, however it was able to remove more than half of it's remaining cooldown so it was pretty good already.
[Now that you are happy, I'll explain about the World and it's system, first is the entity "World", it was a self given name which angered a lot beings however he had the power to back up the name he gave himself however humans commonly know him as "God".]
[He's the one who takes care of your World and many other worlds for his own profit, he stole your world from the original Gods who watched over you and made it so you humans will harvest mana and divine power for him by slaying beasts and monsters from other worlds.]
As Ho-Seok listened in, he was curious cause he can still clearly remember the days before the tower appeared and yet, there were Gods that watched over Earth and have never appeared before them unlike the tower and other monsters and so he asked, "So did the Gods we believe in were real?".
[That is correct however they were kicked out as their roles of watchers and guides and was replaced by a more powerful being who could do more than just watch. He also knew that humans were weak creatures so he created a system for them to act as players to conquer the tower.]
[The tower is something even the Gods are afraid of, even the being World and I are unsure of what lies inside of it, the tower is only a gate way to an infinite amount of abandoned worlds or just another world in general, it could even have beings stronger than Gods.]
After listening to that long introduction, Ho-Seok sighed as he tried to think about everything that the system said and yet there were still parts that he didn't understand and so he asked, "And so how is he dangerous and why does this 'World' seemed to be annoyed at you".
[Well firstly, he's what in your view is my younger brother, we were both created from the same entity however, I am a lot stronger than he is although that came with a penalty, I can only use my power on those who deserve it and the World follows the rules that I have to abide to with loopholes.]
[And how he's dangerous is that, he's just spoiled and had no one ever to take him down a bit, however he's a weak to the strong and strong to the weak, so I'm trying to create a being that'll help him be a bit more mature, so I'm using loopholes as well in more direct terms.]
While he was explaining, Ho-Seok was getting bored and so he just said and asked, "So this is just a sibling rivalry to you two? And I'm supposed to be this glorious loophole for you to take a jab at your brother." he said a bit annoyed, he even sighed as he said this.
[That is... one way to put it.]
"That's the most basic way to explain it.", Ho-Seok retorted as he scoffed, Ho-Seok then remembered something and asked, "Wait, if he has more worlds, what made you pick me?", he was a bit confused at that part as there were definitely a lot more powerful beings than him.
[You have the ability stockpile which allows you to save up your powers after death so it would be quite easy to power you up especially when you can return back into a different period of time, although the World will notice you at some point, but it'll be all too late.]
When he said that Ho-Seok was a bit surprised and asked, "You didn't give me that ability?", he asked confusedly, since he thought that his amazing ability was actually just given to him but it was his all along so he was pretty proud of it and smiled.
[Don't get too happy, without me, your ability would've never activated since it also needs an ability to revive for it to even function properly
[hat's how I created the function "Rebirth" for you, in the place where it would most fit for death in your human standards.]
[Oh, and I will not be able to speak to you for a while, my brother will notice to early on if I hand around this singular world nearby a singular entity, so I won't be able to answer unless you ask in the Rebirth area, I wish you luck Player Ho-Seok.]
Once that conversation was over, Ho-Seok sighed as he laid in bed as he laughed a bit to himself as it sunk in that he was only being used a toy for a little sibling rivalry in both of their eyes and he wasn't even sure if he was getting anything out of this deal.
Being stronger and powerful is great and all, but if he could have a peaceful life, it would definitely be better and there is no telling what the World was actually going to do with him if he ever found out about Ho-Seok, like he was thinking, he was just a toy in their eyes and how easy was it to break a toy.
It actually scared him quite a lot but there was nothing he could do right now but he could definitely get revenge, the system told him he was going to make him into a being that could rival the World, which meant there might be a chance for him to also get strong enough to rival the system itself.
