บท 15: Chapter 14 - The Dragon
This time I woke up to a stirring in my side. I remember falling asleep with my sister and Tosca last night, so it's probably Louise, because Tosca always sleeps even too peacefully.
- You're awake now, Daniel, - I heard Tosca's voice to my left.
- Yes, honey. I think it's a good time to get up. We should wake Louise up and go get some breakfast, - I said.
- Sis, wake up, - I said, waking up my sister.
- Good morning, little brother, - she said in a sleepy voice.
After that, I flirted a little with Louise and we went to breakfast. At breakfast, I had the expected event of Louise and Yumi deciding to stay with me, which Rias also approved of. After that we all went to school.
- Daniel, you're pretty smiley today, did something good happen, - Issei asked me as I walked into the classroom.
- Yes, after several years of separation, I met my little sister and that's why I'm happy, - I said truthfully.
- Congratulations, - he said cheerfully, and then we started discussing an anime. It was one of the pretty good anime of this world, which had been very popular before I came along with a whole bunch of plagiarized works from my world.
Then there were the usual classes, which passed quietly and calmly. But then, during the big break, I was called back to the student council.
- Hello, Danielle, - Sona said quietly as I entered the room.
- Hello to you too, Sona. Why did you call me? - I asked, lounging on the couch.
- In fact, I'd like to take a revenge on you in chess. I completely took apart our last game and made conclusions, so now I'm sure I can win for sure.
- Well, I don't mind, because chess is pretty interesting, - I said as I went over to the table and sat down across from Sonja. It was just the two of us now, so there was plenty of room.
The game itself was a little more interesting than the last one, and apparently Sona really is a genius because she was able to improve her skills with just one game. But that didn't change the result, because I won again.
- How do you do that? I was definitely winning! - Sona said loudly, after my victory.
- Someday you'll understand, but for now just be content to lose, - I said with feigned smugness, taking my head away.
- Let's see what you say when I win, - Sona said.
- Okay, well, recess will be over soon, so I'll be going. Bye, Sona, - I said as I said goodbye.
- Yeah, bye, - Sona told me.
From there I just sat through the rest of the class, reading one book on space magic. After the class was over, I teleported home with the girls. There I suggested that Louise train her for a while. During the training, Louise wondered why I became a Gaap heir in the first place, to which I gave her the excuse that we had different mothers. We practiced for hours, until I remembered something I'd wanted to discuss with Rias yesterday, so Louise and I had to stop and teleport to the occult club room.
There I discussed with Rias the problem with Reiser, which I would still have to solve on my own, with a ninety percent probability. Somehow I'm sure of that.
After talking about it for a while, I left Louise to talk to Rias and teleported myself to the forests of Siberia. What had I forgotten there? I decided to test my last dragon ability, the dragon form.
I concentrated and emitted a huge amount of aura, trying to take on dragon form, causing my life force to dwindle. But that didn't scare me; I believed that I had enough power to do this.
- That's enough. If you go on, you'll just die, - I heard a woman's voice behind me, which surprised me quite a bit. I stopped trying and turned around. But there was a surprise waiting for me... A little girl in a gothic lolly suit, also known as an office or uroboros, was now looking across from me and staring at me with her blank gaze.
- Um, what do you mean? - I decided to ask.
- You're killing yourself. Dragons spend an enormous amount of life force forming their bodies from birth, and you want to form an adult dragon's body from scratch. You just don't have enough energy to do that, and you'll die, - she said, becoming a little more alive.
- But I can help you. All you have to do is help me kill the Great Red, - she said, giving me her hand.
- But you do realize that the Great Red can kill me with one look. How am I supposed to beat him at all? - I said indignantly.
- Right now, yes, but you're growing in strength quickly, so I'm sure you'll surpass him someday, - she said.
- You know what? I'll agree to your proposal, but I have one additional condition, - she said.
- Which one? - said the office completely nonchalantly.
- I want you to be my friend, - I said, also holding out my hand to her.
- A friend? - The office said, puzzled. She had an expression of incomprehension on her face, which looked pretty cute.
- Yes, a friend. You don't mind, do you? - I said.
- But why? If you want power, I can give it to you for nothing, - she said.
- I know. But I don't just want power from you, I want to become friends and help each other and support each other in difficult situations, - I said.
- I never had any friends. Everyone else was either afraid of me, or they thought I was a silly little girl with enormous power, not realizing that with my age you just can't be silly. But I would agree. I've always wanted to know more about friends' relationships, - Office said, smiling a little. She did it for the first time in our entire meeting and I'll be honest, it was just gorgeous. Literally the most beautiful smile I've ever seen.
- Then it's nice to meet you, friend. I'm Danielle Gaap Darkness, the new dragon emperor and your new friend, - I said as I stepped closer to her.
- I'm just Office, the dragon god of infinity, - she said.
- All right, then help me take the form of a dragon, - I asked.
- Sure, you can just keep doing what you were doing before. I'll give you the energy you need to do that, - she said.
I kept trying to release my inner power and take on the form of a dragon. And after a few minutes, I succeeded.
I spread my wings and took off. It was beautiful. I was overwhelmed with all kinds of feelings. I felt like I was the king of the sky and the rightful ruler of this world. Now I understand why dragons are so arrogant. If they feel it on a regular basis, I understand their hubris.
When I finished my flight, I lowered myself to the ground and returned to my human form, which I staggered back to.
- What's wrong with me? - I said out loud when I felt very weak, which was strange, because my body was literally overflowing with energy.
- You're overextended, my energy is too strong for your body, - Ophis said, sitting on a small chair beside me. It looked a little strange, because we were still in the middle of the Siberian taiga.
- Office, thank you so much. Actually, I had heard rumors that you were indifferent and immature, but they weren't true, - I said as I moved closer to Ophis and used magic to create a small couch on which I immediately lay down.
- Actually, these rumors are not far from the truth, I just don't care about most of the people living in this world, and so I see no reason to behave differently around them, - said Office, smiling sweetly. That smile makes me marvel every time. It's too beautiful.
- But then why do you behave differently with me? - I asked.
- You're different. You didn't just want my strength from me; you saw me as a person, and that got to me. And besides, I see you as someone who will be my equal in the future, - she said.
- I like your faith in me and your appreciation of my character. But you're a little mistaken; all I wanted from you at first was strength, and then I wanted to get to know you better, - I said.
- Your words say the best things about you. If you just wanted to take advantage of me, you never would have said that, - she said. I was beginning to feel tired and sleepy.
- You need to sleep, you've gotten stronger and overstretched, but that will pass after you sleep, - she said, looking at me with concern.
- I really need to rest. Bye, Office, see you later, - I said as I prepared to teleport to my little sister. But before I did, I decided to check my status to see how much my stats had increased.

This far exceeds my expectations, the physical body is greatly enhanced, as well as the soul and elemental energy. Fantastic, now I'm sure I can defeat Satan. Except now I need more training in controlling my power.
After watching everything, I finally arrived at the occult club, where I picked up Louise and we teleported home together. After I got to bed, sleep instantly consumed me and I sank into oblivion.
