บท 57: Chapter 56: Give Face
After getting the permission from her master, Hu Liena was escorted by Yue Guan and Gui Mei and was brought to the slaughter city. Right after entering the gateway, she found herself arriving at a desolate and gloomy barren wasteland. Just a few miles away, a city wall could be seen. This indicated that behind those walls was where the Slaughter City was.
Wearing a black veil and black robe, she gave off a devilish charm. Walking towards the city, she started going through whatever knowledge she was given by Bibi Dong.
"It seems I can't really use Spiritual Techniques." Hu Liena thought. She tried to conjure her techniques countless time's but all these failed simultaneously. She found that she could only use her spirit power, which showed signs of corrosion from the killing intent in the air.
Without thinking much, Hu Liena went towards the Slaughter City. In the sky, Nian Zhen looked down at Hu Liena as she was testing different things. A faint smile appeared on his face as he disappeared without a trace.

Three Months passed in the blink of an eye,
Nian Zhen did not have any sort of contact with Hu Liena at all. Instead, Huo Wu contacted her. He had told Huo Wu to have matches during the day's when Hu Liena was not competing.
As Huo Wu was getting popular when Hu Liena arrived, she had already caught the eye of Hu Liena. After some weeks of contact, it seems that the original target of trust from Tang San shifted to Huo Wu.
Though both treated each other like friends, they were still cautious of each other. Nian Zhen had long since thought of this, because unless the two get into a life and death situation together, their feelings will not be open. Only after this condition is met will they accept each other as a life and death partner. That is, if either one of them doesn't betray each other.
That is why, first Nian Zhen wants Huo Wu to get to know Hu Liena better so that chances of her betraying Hu Liena will decrease. As for Hu Liena, as long as Huo Wu does not betray her, she won't betray Huo Wu either. But this is a huge gamble. Nian Zhen understands that no matter how a man cannot understand a woman's heart.

After three months of Hu Leina's arrival, today was finally the day she visited Nian Zhen. After meeting up with Hu Liena, Huo Wu brought her to the inn Nian Zhen was currently staying at. This is not what Nian Zhen ordered Huo Wu to do. He had just told her to have a good relationship with Hu Liena. The sharing of secrets and being good friends was all Huo Wu's own doing.
Nian Zhen was quite pleased when he saw this. This made it easier for him otherwise he had to chase Hu Liena from the start and then gain her trust. Using Huo Wu as a medium to communicate, Hu Liena who slightly trusts Huo Wu will also give some face to Nian Zhen. This is a good start. Now what was needed was just to cultivate feelings.
Nian Zhen was currently meditating on top of his bed. Except for a loose trouser to cover up his lower body, Nian Zhen was not wearing any clothes in his upper body. Huo Wu did not dare to disturb Nian Zhen so she stayed outside before receiving Nian Zhen's consent. Hu Liena did not complain either.
"Come in" A low voice was heard from inside the room. The voice was deep but contained a sense of mystery in it. Hu Liena frowned when she heard this. This voice was so familiar. Well, this was the voice Nian Zhen used whenever he acted as Hongchen.
Huo Wu felt relieved when she heard Nian Zhen. It looked like he had already known she would bring someone today. Slowly opening the door, the two girls entered the room. All of a sudden a fresh and comfortable force penetrated their body. It was as if the room was devoid of all killing intents. This was due to the fact that Nian Zhen was currently comprehending the Law of Life. Without opening his eyes, Nian Zhen lay still as if the arrival of the two did not mean anything to him. Only an indifferent voice came from his mouth.
"Hmm. I would like to know two things. Why is the disciple of the Supreme Pontiff meeting me and Huo Wu, did I not tell you to not be too friendly? You directly brought her here."
Hu Liena did not say anything. She was blushing slightly right now. Nian Zhen in front of her lay half naked. The powerful body gave off a scent that belonged to a strong and young man, which could not be affected by the Law of Life. Even though she may seem to have had experience, she is still pure. Let alone seeing Nian Zhen's over the top handsome face, seeing a man's body up so close could not help but make her feel agitated. Huo Wu did not say anything either. She was also blushing slightly. Not because of Nian Zhen's body but due to the fact that Hu Liena was also here which made her feel embarrassed.
"Hongchen, she...she is trustworthy. I guarantee that." Huo Wu said decisively. This made Hu Liena's body tremble slightly, looking at Huo Wu with a look of fondness. Seeing this, Nian Zhen nodded slightly.
"Wait!? H-Hongchen? You mean the Leader of 'Chi Yue'?" Hu Liena asked, looking at Nian Zhen vigilantly. Huo Wu had told her that the one who told her these secrets was the 'White Rakshasa' but she missed the fact that Hongchen was the one who gained that nickname.
"Hmm. Yes. Why surprised? You must have thought that I was an ugly dude as I was wearing a mask, but jokes on you I am fabulous." Nian Zhen said sarcastically. Huo Wu nodded but was immediately ashamed of Nian Zhen's shamelessness. Hu Liena wanted to refute but after thinking about it, Nian Zhen was right.
'...He is not wrong. So far no man is as perfect as him. Only Master's friend Ying Yun can be said to counter this face.' Hu Liena thought. Well she was ot wrong either. But both Ying Yun and Hongchen are the same person. Truth be told, even Oscar, Dai Mubai and other hot and handsome guy's pale in comparison to Nian Zhen. It was because Nian Zhen had a strong and healthy physique. His temperament and looks became much more refined after he took control of the Law of Life.
"So, girl. I don't think you came here just to stay silent. Speak what you want to ask of me. Even if you and I are of different factions, I can promise to help you this one time respecting Huo Wu's face." Nian Zhen said proudly as if he was speaking something too profound for mortals to understand.
"...." Huo Wu wanted to kick Nian Zhen. How shameless can one be. But she was inwardly happy too.
"I want..uhh…"
"Just call me Hongchen. No formal speech." Nian Zhen said.
"Ahem...I want Brother Hongchen to help me out when I go to obtain the Death God Domain. I won't take advantage of you. I know that you will be helping Sister Huo Wu when she will be walking on Hell Road. I just want Brother to Hongchen to help me when something goes wrong." Hu Liena said directly, not humble and not overbearing.
"And...what do I get in return?" Nian Zhen asked, causing Hu Liena to be stunned as she had not thought about this problem at all. (AN: Same)
