บท 79: Let the games begin
After the embarrassing moment for Dumbledore we all sat down and it all went just like the movies , so much I almost fell asleep but Salem wouldn't let me and just as Barty Crouch was about to speak the he was interrupted by the sound of lighting coming from the ceiling that was synchronized with the outside and I just lazily waved my palm making not just the ceiling calm down but also clearing out the stormy weather.
Dumbledore looked at me and said "Thank you professor Oz" and just as he finished Barty Crouch Jr. came in disguised as Alastor Moody while grumbling and his act was so perfect it made not just me but even Salem chuckled. This perplexed the rest but they just ignored and I looked at the students and saw Harry was talking with Ron.
'I guess there is no way I can stop him from meeting Ron' I thought while looking around and found something that irritated me , Krum was eyeing Mione , this normally wouldn't bother me but I never liked the guy and his headmaster so I glared at him and he froze "It would be better for you to forget her and look for other girls Krum".
I whispered my words but he heard them loud and clear so he started nodding getting strange looks from his colleagues , after dealing with him I looked at Luna and saw her paying attention to Barty until she looked at me and smiled sweetly , I smiled back and continued looking through the dining area and found Cho and Ginny glaring at each other fiercely.
But what confused me was that they were sitting far from each other but they acted like like nobody existed in-between and after a bit I gave up on trying to understand it , after that the ceremony was done and every student proceeded to their respective dorms.
The next day classes started early and before fake Moody got in the classroom I intercepted him and said to him "Crouch I warn you , if you in some way bother Hermione and Luna Lovegood I'll destroy you and every single death eater before crushing your little pathetic Dark Lord. Do I make myself clear?" after hearing me he went wide eyed before nodding frantically so after making sure he got my message he went into his class and I teleported to mine.
After my classes were over I teleported to Moody's class and after seeing that this time Neville was okay I relaxed and went on with my day , surprisingly the next day I saw that Neville had the plants book but I didn't give it much thought. On the third day people finally started putting names on the goblet of fire and just like in the movies the Weasley's twins appeared and the people started to cheer.
But when they saw me sitting beside Mione talking with her they froze and I just chuckled before saying "Oh go on , might as well step aside and watch" Mione looked at me before saying "But O-Professor isn't that against the laws? Why would you let them do it?" since we were in public she couldn't call my by my nick but she almost slipped up , I just chucked at it and said to her.
"First because it's amusing and second do you actually think Dumbledore is that dumb?" when I finished the twins crossed their arms and drank the potion before walking inside the circle causing cheers to erupt from the other students , after putting their names in the goblet they all celebrated.
But blue flames came out of the goblet before sending them flying through the air with beards , I just laughed and all the rest followed but not for long since Krum appeared to put his name in the goblet. He then looked at Mione and smiled but she remained stoic to it before he turned a bit and saw me freezing once again.
I smiled at him and said to him mentally <You better prepare more for the tournament , if you are chosen. Wouldn't want you to die easily now would you?> when the boy started shaking I just waved my hand and he ran outside startling the other students and making Mione look at me before I heard <Don't hurt him , he just smiled at me. Probably wanted to be friends> and I said back <That didn't look like a friend's smile to me , wanna go to the library?>.
She nodded with a sigh before getting up with me and just like that the day went by and at dinner time Dumbledore touched the cup and it started ejecting the names of the champions and like in the movies Krum , Fleur , Cedric and finally Harry were chosen , when Harry saw that he looked at me.
I just shrugged lazily before saying to him mentally <Good luck on the tournament son , make us proud> he just sighed and got up walking towards the trio while getting gazed from the rest and a glare from Ron. He just shrugged and was led to the room were all of the champions gathered , then Dumbledore asked all of us to head there with him.
When he arrived he rushed to Harry and grabbed him before asking calmly while shaking him around "HARRY , HARRY DID YOU PUT YOUR NAME IN THE GOBLET OF FIRE?!" I couldn't hold it and started laughing at this scene making all of them look at me before Snape said carefully "Professor Oz...perhaps you might had something to do with this...unfortunate situation?" when I finished laughing at that iconic scene I looked at Snape and said
"If I wanted to put Harry's name in the goblet I would have taught him to do it by getting through the age line spell and not by doing it myself , so no Snape" after hearing me they looked at me while squinting their eyes until while Salem just chuckled before asking Harry "Son do you want to participate?".
Harry then said with a sigh "Well , yeah that would be a good change of pace" after hearing him Dumbledore said "Harry this isn't some game , you can die" and then I said "Not on my watch" they all looked at me once again and Barty said to me "Nobody can interfere , those are the rules Mr.Oz".
I just shrugged before saying "Well then guess I don't care about the rules" he glared at me but I didn't care. After that we gathered at Dumbledore's office but it was just me , Salem , fake Moody , Snape , Minerva and obviously Dumbledore , he then looked at me and said "I know you will save Harry but what about the others? Will you do the same for them Oz?".
All of them turned to me and I just smiled and said "Well only for Fleur" Minerva then spoke "Why her? What's the difference?!" and I looked at her before saying "No reason , I just like her more than the rest" she started fuming but Dumbledore calmed her down and said "Do as you must , it's a shame to let the others in danger but we can't go against the rules like you" gaining a shocked face from Minerva.
After that we went our ways and the next day Rita appeared and started interrogating all of the champions , when she saw me she practically jumped but before she could reached any closer I looked her in the eyes and said mentally <Careful with what you write in your little journal Skeeter , Fleur and Harry are under my protection.
If you spread your usual misinformation it won't end well for you even if you try to escape little beetle>. She looked shocked at my words but quickly recomposed herself before just nodding at me and hurrying to leave with her cameraman. The champions were surprised at this since she was still supposed to interrogate them but they didn't give it much thought since none of them asked about her.
After that events proceeded just like in the movies the difference being that this time Sirius spoke with Harry without worried and Ron had the heart to warn his new friend about the dragons. After that the day of the first challenge quickly arrived and along with Mione I went to Harry to encourage him but apparently he didn't need it , he was 100% ready for this challenge.

LeylinTheFifth Welp I'll leave it at that , in the movies I never really like Krum so now that I have a chance to removed him why not? I don't like Ron but that is just because he doesn't deserve Mione so yeah he is acceptable. Tell me if there is anything I should correct in the comments.
