บท 70: Meeting the Basilisk
Salem POV (I'll try but I doubt this is gonna be good so yeah , do tell me things I should correct or improve)

We were walking to the dinning hall and I looked beside me and saw Ozy looking through the whole hall and I even felt him use his magic to scan through the whole room , I could guess who he was looking for since I had the books in my mind and honestly I really did meant when I said that I liked the girl but still it was a bit unnerving to see how much attention he gives them and he hadn't even met with one of them.
I know he loves me since he always has time to spend with me and Harry in his drive for power but it still is bothersome....this feeling is new but I know it's jealousy , I never thought I'd feel it but it is inevitable. While I was thinking I saw that he finally saw the girl and his happiness even made space and time agitated and even though I was the only one that could feel it this brought me to the ever lasting feeling of being just a burden , this is a feeling I've been having ever since we connected and I saw how truly powerful he is.
Even though he did manage to find a way to make me catch up to him it didn't feel as good as doing it myself with my own efforts , but I didn't know how because no matter what I do he always seems to be 10 steps ahead of me. But now with the recent share he did that allowed me to have access to the same infinite source of magic I felt that I had finally got the chance I wanted to catch up to him and along with that even help my dear son rise in power , despite all the things we said to him the other day about being immortal I would never leave him to die in this world , never and if someone tries to get in my way I'll CRUSH THEM.
Suddenly I felt a hand on my shoulder and I looked who it was and saw Ozy looking at me while smiling softly before I asked him "What's wrong Love?" and he said "You lost control for a bit and your energy slipped" I was embarrassed but I quickly controlled my energy and said to him "So how is Luna?" when he heard me he laughed softly with a smile and said "She is so cute , I'll definitely not allow anyone to harm her".
At the end of his words I could feel his desire to protect the girl and even space and time reacted to his desires sticking close to the girl as if saying 'We will protect her too' his effects on reality were truly fascinating because not even him himself could notice it and this proved that his comprehension had really reached the true limit and he probably got a power up because the laws were reacting very strongly to him than before he went out to meet with the Guardian.
This made me more eager to reach his level and probably the first law I should comprehend is time since it is what I really need now , and because of the connection we shared I already had a basic feeling of how the law behaves so it should be fairly easy. While I was thinking about all of this things the feast finally started and we begun to eat while chatting with our friend Nicolas , he was the only one I could truly talk freely because we have both lived for a long time , even though my Ozy is old he doesn't really feel that old and only his aura gave away this feeling.
----------------End of Salem POV. Now back to my favorite , Ozma's POV-------------
While I was appreciating Luna's cuteness I was keeping an eye on Salem because she suddenly lost control and this was unlike her , she was probably the most controlled person I knew so just in case something happened again I was ready for it. Our energies are really destructive but since I could now do many things at the same time I wasn't worried and enjoyed Luna's cuteness , how could anyone hurt such a pure child? Even I started feeling like just protecting her but after a bit I remembered how it all ended and she married Rolf.
"Nah , not gonna happen" I said and Salem turned to me after telling her it was nothing she went back to talking with Nicolas who seemed a bit older so I decided to help the guy , after all he was our friend. After the dinner was done all of the students were sent to their dorms and when it was time to go home I told Salem "I'm gonna check on the Basilisk , you go on. Oh and please make some snacks , we gonna have movie night today" and she smiled and nodded before teleporting home , it seems she was getting the hang on the laws.
After I checked and made sure she had arrived home safely and that Luna , Harry and Mione were safe I teleported to the girl's bathroom and when Myrtle saw me she backed away and said with a scarred tone "W-what do I own you the pleasure professor Oz" and I just said "Came to see the chamber" she nodded and pointed at the direction of the chamber before leaving in a hurry , all the ghosts in this school feared me and even though I didn't know why I had an hypothesis that maybe it was because I was probably the only guy that can permanently destroy souls or because of my law either way I didn't really care and proceed to speak in Parseltongue.
And the entrance opened since I could literally speak any language with the [Language Proficiency] skill so no language barrier could hold me. After that I slided down and when I entered I was greeted by the sight of many small skeletons so I cleaned destroyed all of them and cleaned all the chamber up before continuing on my way to the last gate and when I arrived there I simply unlocked the gate and walked inside and the first thing I saw was a giant head and yellow eyes looking directly at me.
I felt the magic trying to take effect upon me but it was so weak I didn't even have to do anything and my aura simply erased it , after a bit seeing that I wasn't turning into stone the Basilisk was truly surprised because I could see it in her gaze so before she tried anything else I said in parseltongue "I come in peace , there is no need for violence. I know you are smart because it's impossible you aren't after all this time" and after a bit she said back "What do you want demon , per the rules only the heir can walk freely within it".
I just shrugged before creating a chair and sitting down in front of her "Well as you can see I don't give a damn and I know you can see my power , you know that if I wanted I could just destroy this world with a snap of my fingers" after she heard me she just settled down and said "What do you want demon" and I just said "Well you have been stuck here for many years and soon you might die so I decided to just take you with me. But before that" I then snapped my fingers and Riddle's journal appeared on my hand.
After it appeared I just destroyed it directly erasing the fragment permanently before looking back at the Basilisk and saying "There done , no more danger for you. So do you really want to continued here stuck or do you want to come with me? I'll provide you with endless food , a true home and probably family" she then went silent for some time before she said "I'll come with you , but I warn you if you try to do someth-" and before she could finish I cut her "Yeah , yeah you gonna kill me or at least try. I'm immortal so yeah." and she turned herself into a little snake before I put my hand down and she slipped into my clothes and I teleported home with her.

LeylinTheFifth Welp here is the chap , almost got late cause I was watching the Monthly Otaku Collection and now I got a new manga to read , yay. Tell me what you though about the POV , it feels strange to write like that maybe because I really get in the character when I write from Ozma's POV or it might just be because it takes a bit to get used to so it turned that the POV took more focus than the poor Basilisk but meh so be it.
