บท 43: A chance from Bushin

In the arena, purple smoke was everywhere making everything seems hazy. A huge bright blue spot could be seen in the center of the training area with a white spot could be seen on one end.

Brynn was totally submerged in the smoke that she was akin to invisible right now with no presence, no smell, no sound, no sensation at all.

Zeph had just put on his lightning cloak on when he heard a yell from Sauren. He chuckled understanding the emotions of his friend. He was now extremely cautious because he was not feeling the presence of anyone around him. His all senses were beginning to turn dull with time.

'Here'.

thought Zeph as he avoided strike from his right side.

He dodged at extreme closeness from the sword. He was astonished because he didn't felt the sword until it was extremely close to him. Maybe the function of this smoke is removing of presence but that is a too weird thing to accomplish.

He again felt another attack coming from behind which he dodged by just a margin. Soon all he could do was to dodge various attacks coming from different angles at him.

He was unable to counter at all when he pursues the attacking sword it just disappeared entirely like it was never there.

On the mid-field, Sauren was sort of natural bane to smoke as his high-temperature flames were burning away any smoke that is coming in contact with him.

He was searching for Brynn or Zeph but found that the whole arena was not the same as he viewed from the outside. He remembered seeing Zeph at the northernmost edge of the area but here he could see faint white light coming sometimes from the north sometimes from the south.

Maybe he was moving very fast but how could he appear in two opposite directions. Sauren was confused by what he was observing.

Brynn was standing very close to where Sauren was, for Her smoke was her home playground she could sense everything in this area with utmost clarity.

She could see Zeph struggling with illusionist attacks. She was remotely controlling the smoke of that area to attack Zeph. He was in quite a rough condition even if he realized that attacks are only illusionary and try to ignore them.

Brynn can easily turn those ignored attacks into real ones with one thought. It was her skill known as "Smoke domain".Here in this domain, she has extreme control over her smoke.

She can use it to attack, defend and even use it as her extended senses. she was helpless in terms of Sauren as his high-temperature flames were burning smoke before it can come into contact with his body.

Thus for him, she can only fool his sense of sight. She had to perform the higher level of this skill to make smoke denser to penetrate his cloak to which she was still not familiar in usage. She decided to take matters into her own hands.

Sauren felt something coming beside him, he immediately turned his energy condensed fist to meet the upcoming attack. Sword and fist collided with each other giving rise to a powerful shock wave that dispersed the surrounding smoke. Sauren looked into her eyes and began to attack fiercely.

It was the same as before with Brynn trying to keep Sauren at arm's length for proper delivery of sword strikes Whereas Sauren repeatedly trying to close the distance between them.

On the other side, Zeph was feeling quite thorny at the increasing frequency of attacks. He felt an attack coming from above which he was unable to dodge thus forcing him to take the attack head on. His word clashed with the attacking sword which dispersed like smoke after the collision.

Zeph immediately realized the force behind the strike was less than as compared to the overwhelming raw strength behind Brynn's strikes. It was good but not comparable to that.

He understood that it was not Brynn attacking but some kind of remotely controlled attack. He decided to get rid of this smoke to find the real opponents in the arena. He channeled his energy to execute the Only Aoe technique he had.

Soon resonance began to form with electric charges present in the sky which led to the formation of dark clouds overhead.

Sauren and Brynn locked into combat found their scalps tingling at the sight of black clouds with occasional thunder rumbling inside them.

Brynn stepped back and once again disappeared into the smoke. She sat down to step up her skill because she realized that technique is enough to force out her higher-level skill.

Sauren looked into the sky and whistled in appreciation," so it is this menacing when used seriously"

He had seen Zeph practicing technique but he never performed seriously but now it was worth being called 'Divine punishment'.

Soon he realized smoke in surroundings was turning denser and denser. Soon it was so dense that he was unable to see his own legs and it was giving as much resistance to moving as water gives.

Sauren understood that it should be an ultimate technique of Brynn He immediately got excited and began to channel energy for Vermillion's fury.

"How can I remain behind in such competition of skills" exicted and happy laughter was soon heard in the training arena.

A huge blue-flamed structure was beginning to take shape midair in response to his words.

A huge barrier of energy was quietly formed on the training Area including ground as well as sky separating it from the rest of the Martial hall and city.

A huge fluctuation like this was not even felt by most senior warriors present inside Gephyr City attending the auction.

The old man standing on the pillar shaked his head. Energy fluctuations are too much if it is increased more like a collision between these techniques even I would be unable to mask them from the city.

He took one step ahead and directly appeared at the center of the arena. He casually clapped which lead to the unstabling of smoke and straight disappearance of a roughly formed phoenix in the sky.

Next, he appeared behind Zeph and placed a hand over his shoulder which blocked the flow of energy inside his body which stopped resonance and lead to the disappearence of clouds.

All three of them were dumbstruck the whole arena was clear of any smoke and fire energies.

They were surprised to find their techniques dispersed by an unknown old man without them even realizing his presence within a single second.

Brynn was well versed with meetings with Such powerful warriors thus immediately bowed and said

"We are extremely sorry senior for causing such huge disturbance over spar "

"No problem youngster should be reckless but also should know when to stop."

Zeph hearing her words immediately bowed towards him and Sauren who was going to ask about this old bald man with a white beard identity immediately swallowed his words back and bowed his head in greeting.

"So let's introduce ourselves, Don't be shy"

"I am Brynn disciple of Soraya from the nation of Phoenix"

"So you are a disciple of that girl." He nodded his head " and you two? "

"I am Sauren, fire Elementalist"

"Zeph, lightning element"

"Good good, all of you are talented kids. My name is Bushin. I am sure you have heard about me ." said the bald man while showing his white teeth.

He pointed towards Sauren and asked him."So what do you say I have offered for you, Sauren, want to hear it?"
