บท 41: Night Feast

Soon midnight time was here, host assembled all the guests once again in the main hall and opened up the night Feast.

Various expensive food was placed on large tables.

Expensive wine from Phoenix nation was served among guests. It was arranged according to the highest standard done by hosts of the Exhibition. Guests can enjoy food while also can view remaining showcased artifacts.

Sauren and Brynn were spending a great time talking about various topics. Soon Brynn felt he was quite an interesting person. So she mentally added Sauren's name to her short list of friends. Sauren took her towards the feast table for trying out dishes.

He was having time of his life eating tasty food with beauty by his side.

"I haven't asked it before Brynn, but who is your master?"

"My master "Brynn smiled and looked towards him.

"I guess it is fine if I told you, she is Heaven s gaze, Soraya "

"Heaven.... heaven's gaze, you are a disciple of legendary Heaven s gaze"

"Yes, well am I not privileged one?" she chuckled.

"Oh my that's right ....you sure are privileged one." she is the major seat holder of the council of nation Phoenix, she is a legendary warrior who last time went into action when few girls from a village were abducted by demons.

She single-handedly went inside demon territory and retrieved the girls in the process she massacred four battalions of demons and even subdued one gold-eyed demon general.

she is famous for her hypnotic and illusionist powers, Sauren silently remembered her deeds. He looked into the distance where seniors were gathered.

"Is your master here ?"

"No, actually I'm here with one of my senior brother's disciples for some important task. We were just going back after completion when the invitation of Gephyr City came so brother agreed to attend it before going back."

Sauren nodded and thought he must make Zeph add phoenix city in possible locations.

On another side of Gallery, Zeph was facing quite trouble himself. What happened was when he was viewing artifacts he came across an ancient flute.

He was mesmerized by its refined structure as it was made from ten-thousand-year-old wood of tuphor tree which is believed to never rot.

But to make an instrument from such wood requires extreme control and mastery over the wood element.

He unlocked a unique memory he had almost forgotten. When he was four years old he used to went with Grandfather Makon to view sunsets from Mountain tops.

So during hiking over the mountain, his grandfather made him sit on his shoulders and played the flute. Tune he played was of extreme sorrow which was in a way quite calming to mind and heart. He asked his Grandfather at that time.

"Grandpa, who taught you such a relaxing tone?"

"oh, ho you found it relaxing?"

"Yes, I feel like I'm soaking in a cold pond on a very hot day "

"This tune was taught to me by my mother. It was from her parental clan. It makes people feel only that emotion which they want to feel the most."

"So Grandpa, what you feel like?"

"What I feel like... "Makon sighed deeply he looked toward the sky with small tears forming at end of his eyes of course Zeph couldn't see that, "leave it brat just tell me you want to learn tune"

"Yes I will learn it, Grandpa"

"But you have to promise me that you will work hard on sword training"

"Yes, I promise, ah..... it's time grandpa we haven't reached the top .. the sun is going to set ...Run ..run..."

"oh sh*t" Makon hurriedly increased his speed and ran towards the top. Zeph on his shoulder was constantly chanting words like 'Run run...'

Zeph smiled and touched that flute, you felt regret at that time, right grandpa.

Due to him feeling intense emotion, the wood flute began to vibrate and with a snap, it vanished from the pillar and turned into a brown wooden ring and went into the finger of Zeph.

He was surprised by such a drastic turn of events. He hurriedly tried to take off the ring but it refused to budge. Pillar turned to a green color indicating missing artifact. Soon authorized warrior came and questioned Zeph. He hurriedly told him that he Only touched the artifact and it coiled into his finger.

Authorized warrior was also stumped at fact because there was no information of flute kept here having spirit. He looked toward robe and understood him to be from Mercenary corp.

He called for Boss Elven for resolving the issue.

Zeph was sweating buckets thinking of the price of the artifact he had to pay, soon Boss Elven arrived after listening to the whole story he laughed it off.

"Probably those old geezers never knew flute has spirit, never mind since it had taken master to leave it to be. Moreover, it is just a flute with no magical powers, write on a document that I bought it directly and gave to my subordinate.

No Need to mention spirit part right" Elven said as he glared warrior straight into his eyes. He was so spooked that he instantly closed his eyes and gave the approval to advise.

He took documents and turned pillars from green to black to indicate artifact sold and went away.

"Thank you very much, Boss. I hadn't thought what would become of me" these were Zeph's heartfelt words. Boss waved it off,

"it's not like it was something hard you know ordinary items can also awaken spirit but it just increase their value but they remain ordinary thus if there was someone else he too would have done same"

Zeph nodded once again in gratitude and went towards the feast table for some sampling of various food. He subconsciously rubbed his thumb over the ring and said to ring in his mind 'you are ordinary right!'.
