บท 56: Wedding
Zeus looked at the top of the cake and saw Sanji lifting Pudding's veil. He chuckled and leaned his cheek on his hand and drank straight from the bottle, Pudding collapsed and cried, the priest and Katakuri shot at the same time. Sanji dodged and multiple Luffys jumped out from the cake and started creating havoc in the plaza, over turning tables, ruining everything.
Zeus burst out laughing and looked at Big Mom with a provocative look, she turned to him and gritted her teeth. Seeing the chance, Smoothie attacked Zeus during the chaos, unfortunately for her...
Zeus caught her sword two two fingers and stood up from his chair as he said "Seems like I was too lenient before.." Katakuri had no time to help because he was stopping Luffy but he shouted "Stop!"
None of the others listened to Katakuri and attacked Zeus anyway.
Poire lunged at Zeus and threw a punch, Zeus gave her a bland look and slapped her out of the air, sending her flying into a building that was surrounding the plaza. Zeus lit a cigarette and walked towards Big Mom once more, more and more of her children attacked him but they were sent flying with usually one move.
Zeus was started to get annoyed and shouted "Enough! I didn't kill the others because of a certain person but if you keep attacking, everyone after now will die." the children stopped for a brief moment and Katakuri let out a breath of relief, he knew the person Zeus was talking about was him. He shot Zeus a grateful look, but he also understood that even saints have their breaking point, let alone a person like Zeus.
Zeus continued unobstructed for a while before he stopped right in front of Big Mom and grinned "Looks like you have a runaway groom, Charlotte Linlin. Which begs the question, was this a forced wedding?"
Zeus clicked his tongue and said "I'm not a big fan of those.." he picked up the picture of Mother Caramel and looked at it before saying out loud "You know, I did check up on this woman. Would you like to know what I found?" the whole plaza looked towards him and Big Mom was trembling.
Zeus grinned and said "Mother Caramel, a woman who was working an orphanage on Elbaf a long time ago. There's a lot of secrets around her, one of them is where did she go? She suddenly disappeared one day. Well ladies and gentlemen, I have the answer for you!"
Everybody's focus was on him and Zeus waved the picture frame before saying "She was the previous owner of the Soul-Soul fruit, which happens to be our favorite balloon's fruit! Naturally, if she disappeared you would've found her fruit but right after her disappearance the Balloon had her fruit!"
Zeus shook his head and said "Let me share some knowledge for those of you who still don't know. The body is also a carrier for the devil fruit, which means if you eat the person themselves you can also get their fruits.." Zeus had a crazy grin as he continued "If you eat them alive that is!"
Big Mom's eyes widened and she started trembling, she looked at Zeus and extreme rage and despair started bubbling up inside her. Everyone else was stunned and disgusted, some even puked.
Zeus continued viciously "But there was something even more appalling among her secrets." He looked at the picture in disgust as he said "Her whole orphanage was just a giant pool for the marines and government to pick from. Meaning all the children were sold off by Mother Caramel herself!" everyone at the plaza gasped and looked at Big Mom.
Zeus burst out laughing and said "Don't worry everyone, non of them got to be sold off.." he shook his head and waved before pointing at Big Mom behind him as he started laughing crazily "Because she ate every single one of them!"
Everyone was stunned again and Zeus laughter sounded out, it was extremely loud and mocking. Big Mom crushed her arm rests and Zeus hopped on the table and turned to her, he held the picture frame in front of her and said "You want to know what I hate most?"
Zeus sneered at her and added "Slave traders." before snapping the picture in half and vaporizing it to ashes right in front of Big Mom. Everyone's eyes widened, even Stussy. There was only one thought in their heads right now 'This guy is a madman!'
Sure enough, Big Mom fell to her knees and the ashes slipped through her fingers. She was in a daze and Zeus snapped his fingers and stretch out his arm. Bege threw one of the KX Launchers through the air, Zeus caught it and aimed it right at Big Mom's head as he said "Good bye, Linlin. Hopefully you remember some people can't be offended."
His face was ice-cold and he pulled the trigger mercilessly at point blank range.
The rocket flew and blew up right in Big Mom's face, Zeus threw the Launcher to the ground and walked away. He actually had no idea if it would actually work but hey, it was worth a shot. Even if it wasn't who cares, he'll take care of her himself.
There was an eerie silence and only the sound of Zeus' shoes tapping against the plaza tiles were heard. Zeus stopped and sighed before saying "Fucking Caesar." before any one could figure out what that meant an extremely loud screech was heard and the dust cleared to reveal Big Mom with just a couple burns on her face, screaming in grief.
Her conqueror's Haki exploded out of her and her loud ear piercing wails filled everyone's ear canals. Some directly fainted, while other desperately covered their ears. Zeus was extremely annoyed and formed electric headphones, he rather listen to anything, than listen to Big Mom's screeching.
He turned around and took another drag from his cigarette as he narrowed his eyes at Big Mom. The rest of the crew, Bonney, and Persephone came out of Bege's body and plugged the ears of Sanji's family before Bege ordered a retreat.
They all ran back to Bege's body, except for Zeus. Not wanting to tie himself to them at all, but of course, Bonney and Persephone transformed and jumped to Zeus' shoulders. Luffy said "Zeus! Let's go!" Zeus waved and said "I'll cover your escape, go." Luffy paused before changing directions and standing next to Zeus.
Zeus looked at him and said "You're going to tie yourself to Tartarus, you know that right?" Luffy nodded and the rest of the crew jumped out of Bege's body and stood next to Zeus and Luffy on both sides. Luffy grinned and said "I'm not going to lose you again!" the rest of the crew nodded and grinned themselves.
Sanji exhaled a mouthful of smoke and grinned "Plus, we don't even know how strong you are. Maybe you're all bark and no bite?" Brook laughed and said "My brain is telling me to stay, oh wait! I don't have one! Yohohohohoho!"
Nami spun her staff and said "I didn't learn how to fight for nothing." but she had a grin as well and Chopper just said "O-One of them said my blue nose was ugly!" Jinbe coughed and said "Can't have you dying before you give me that favor.."
Zeus looked at them before bursting into laughter and grinning himself "Bonney, Persephone. Take care of them..." he crushed the cigarette in his hands and chuckled "The fat old bitch is mine!" as he hybrid transformed. The two girls hopped off and transformed again.
Persephone transformed into a cat girl with two black tails that had light blue flames on the ends. She also had paws for hands and black cat ears.
Bonney transformed into a giant pink Phoenix and flapped her wings, hovering behind Zeus, who was in his hybrid dragon form.
Big Mom stopped screaming and snarled "Zeeuuuusss!" Zeus grinned and crackled his nine knuckles as he said "I'm right her, you fat old bitch..." His grin became crazy as he added "Let's dance!" before disappearing.
Before any of the children could react Zeus reappeared at Big Mom's head, spinning his body and slamming his tail into her mouth. Big Mom was lifted off the ground and flew across the plaza, and that was it, the rest of the crew and the two girls started fighting against Big Mom's crew. Bege looked at the chaos and sucked Chiffon into his body before he turned around to escape.
He stopped at the gate and cursed "Fucking bastard!" before turning around and letting out the Vinsmokes and the Minks, when they were out Bege transformed into the Big Father and started fighting himself.
Zeus grinned and laughed as he said "That earns back the 10% Bege!" Bege grinned and continued to fight against the Big Mom pirates.
Luffy fought against Katakuri
Bonney was fighting against Smoothie
Sanji was fighting against Perospero
Brook, Nami, Chopper, Jinbe, the Minks, and the Vinsmokes were fighting against a bunch of children
And Persephone was darting around, disrupting the children and killing other underworld heads. They were on her assassination list so why not? Persephone looked at the several corpses and licked her lips as she waved her tails in different directions.
The corpses lit on fire, but the fire was light blue and it drilled into their eyes before the corpses got up and charged at the Big Mom pirates. Big News Morgan was stunned and flew to a building before taking out his camera and taking pictures as he exclaimed "This is incredible news!"
Zeus slammed his dragon tail into the ground excitedly as he looked at Big Mom slowly getting up. A wave of Conqueror's washing over him, Zeus snorted and his Conqueror's exploded in retaliation. Their wills clashed and cracked sparks in between them, Big Mom summoned Prometheus and... Zeus.
Zeus looked at Zeus (the cloud) and sneered "A tiny cloud dares to have the same name as me?!" Zeus floated in the air and red lightning crackled angrily around him, the black and red rings appeared and started spinning on his back as he sneered harder and said "Let's see how much you can take!"
A pillar of red lightning fell from the sky and landed on Zeus (the cloud), filling him up and turning him dark red. Zeus (the cloud) kept expanding until exploding into a mass of lightning bolts, electrocuting Big Mom and everyone else, who didn't see it coming.
Zeus grabbed Zeus (the cloud) and threw him at Nami saying "A servant." Nami brightened up and sucked Zeus (the cloud) into her weather staff. A servant was good for her, especially one that was a cloud itself! She humming happily to herself as he created a lightning storm and fought off some genie with her Haki-coated staff, not having any troubles at all.
In fact, with the training that the crew had, they weren't having too many problems. Luffy and Katakuri were pretty even, Sanji was even with Perospero but only because his fruit was so difficult. Bonney was absolutely decimating Smoothie.
Bonney had reverted to her hybrid form and wings sprouted on her back and her legs had turned to talons. She could use Shigan and Rakyaku at the same time because of the claws on her talons. She was a monster. Smoothie, currently looked like a 70 year old grandma and was trying to squeeze Bonney in vain, she couldn't even touch her, how could she possibly squeeze her? Plus Smoothie was further enraged by her terrible appearance as well as her inability to do anything.
Big Mom sent Prometheus to fight the rest and she swung her hat-sword at Zeus, who grabbed the air and jabbed with a pitch black Thunder Dragon Spear. He almost exclusively fought with his fists but that didn't mean it was all he knew how to do. He was actually quite good with a spear as well!
The sword and spear collided and cracks appeared around them.
Zeus flicked the spear and knocked the sword up before he moved in and thrusted the spear forward towards Big Mom's stomach, it was the biggest target.
Big Mom's stomach turned black and Zeus's spear slammed into it, sending her stumbling back. Zeus grinned and flew into the air before putting his hands together and spreading them apart, he spun the two circles that appeared and aimed it at Big Mom before sending his spear right through.
The spear completely disappeared and slammed into Big Mom's Haki-coated stomach, sending her flying across the plaza and smashing into the giant cake-like building.
Zeus was stunned and said incredulously "She didn't die?!" he sucked in a cold breath of air and noticed Stussy had disappeared, he spread his Haki and saw her about to shoot a man with a flying Shigan. He clicked his tongue, seems like he'll have to try and change her mind next time.
He turned around and said "Everyone in Bege! Now!" they didn't even hesitate and all drilled into Bege's body. Bege reverted and Zeus grabbed his shirt before flying away, leaving only the Big Mom pirates at the plaza.
Zeus was flying and heard a loud boom behind him. Bege turned his head and saw Whole Cake Chateau collapsing onto the plaza, Bege was startled and looked at Zeus, who chuckled and said "It wasn't me, believe it or not."
Bege chuckled and Zeus put them down far away from the plaza. Bege let everyone out and Bonney and Persephone immediately jumped on Zeus' shoulders. Zeus looked at Bege and said "You got your wife. I thought you were going to escape."
Bege smiled wryly and said "And leave the King of the Underworld behind? I don't want to be well acquainted with a seaking." Zeus burst out laughing and patted his shoulder saying "Well said! Bwahahahaha" Luffy punched Zeus in the stomach and Zeus gave him a thumbs up as he rubbed where Luffy punched.
Bege took out Caesar's heart and threw it at him. Caesar felt everything going in slow motion and romantic music started playing as he brightened up and opened his hands to embrace his heart, unfortunately the record scratched and Zeus picked the heart out of thin air.
Zeus tossed the heart in his hands up and down as he said "You work for me now, okay?" Caesar almost cried, so close to freedom but so far! He collapsed to the ground and really did start crying as he said "Why... Why me..."
Zeus chuckled and kicked him, sending him rolling on the ground as he said between laughs "Get up Gastino. I won't treat you like a slave, like that Pinkie guy did. I only have your heart so that you don't escape, but other than that you're free. We'll talk about you later." he whistled and threw the heart into the cloud before throwing Caesar on top and saying "Be a good gas boy and sit there, maybe I'll give you a candy!"
Caesar cried again, he was a grown man! What candy! Zeus chuckled and ignored his sobs as he sent Caesar back into the sky, he had already tagged him anyway, even if Caesar did escape he wouldn't get far.
Zeus looked at Reiju and smiled widely, she trembled as he looked but felt that he was giving her more time. She already had her decision but she was waiting for Zeus to come get her himself. Zeus heard a loud shout behind him "WEDDING CAAAAKE!"
Zeus was spooked and complained "I hit her with a fucking railgun! How is she still alive!?" Bege chuckled and said "She's an iron balloon." Zeus grumbled and said "Fucking iron balloon bullshit!" he turned to a mountain and shot a railgun spear, the spear disappeared and the mountain exploded before having a giant circle hole going straight through.
Zeus grumbled even more and said "Fucking stupid dancing object island garbage!" as he kicked a singing rock. Everyone was stunned and Bege said "Y-Y-You hit her with that?" Zeus nodded and said "Stupid iron bitch, fuck!"
He took a deep breath and said calmly "Let's go." Luffy chuckled and the crew, Bege, and the Vinsmokes went their separate ways. Nami got Kingbaum to bring them to their ship as Brook and Chopper went to get the sub marine.
Big Mom followed them along with her kids riding on Prometheus. Zeus turned around and said "Eat my spear, IrOn bAlLoOn" as he shot another rail gun spear right at Big Mom.
Big Mom's whole body coated itself in Haki right before the spear hit her. She was in her hunger pang mode and relied on instincts only. Zeus sneered and the smoke cleared, only for Big Mom to be fine with list light scratches.
Zeus grit his teeth and said "I don't fucking believe it!" He spread his hands in the air and the rings on his back shot into the sky, growing to a massive size. Zeus had a crazy look in his eye as he said "Spear of the Devil Dragon!"
A massive dragon peeked out from the clouds and its head sharpened before it shot through the rings and disappeared. A massive explosion occurred behind the running Kingbaum, the crew looked over and Luffy was already watching with his pupils literally turning into stars.
Zeus sneered and the dust settled to reveal a massive hole in the island, Big Mom nowhere in sight. Zeus patted his chest and lifted his chin as he said "How fucking Handsome am I?!" Bonney and Persephone gulped as they said in unison "Handsome.."
Luffy foamed at the mouth and fell over mumbling "Cool.." over and over again, the rest of the crew was in shock, Kingbaum didn't dare look back and kept running.
Zeus froze and started cursing "I don't fucking believe you're still alive!" he was actually really angry, that was almost a world ending move and this fat bitch survived!
As if on cue, a hand grabbed the edge of the hole and Big Mom climbed out growling "Wedding Cakeeeee!" her clothes were in tatters and she had burns all over her body along with cuts and bruises, her stomach was covered in blood but strangely her face was fine.
Prometheus was just a small ball at the moment and Big Mom wasn't fast enough to chase after them on her legs so the group pulled pretty far away from her.
Suddenly
Pudding and Chiffon showed up next to Kingbaum and said "Sanji! Please help! We need to make a cake or Mama will kill everyone once you escape!" Zeus glared at her in anger and Pudding almost fainted in fear, she saw the destruction but she didn't have a choice! Big Mom's hunger pangs were a big problem for them, there would be no one left in the entirety of Tottoland if she wasn't satiated.
Sanji sighed and nodded before jumping on the carpet. Pudding blushed with a small smile and said "We'll be on Cacao Island!" before flying away on her magic carpet.
Zeus looked down at the singing trees and felt his anger surge, he spread his hands and dark red clouds rolled in before turning all the singing homies to ashes.
Persephone patted Zeus' cheek and said "Calm down. You got her good, she can't chase anymore." Bonney nodded and rubbed her head on his neck as she added "Plus you were super handsome!" Zeus took a deep breath and calmed himself down before saying "Really?"
Persephone and Bonney nodded, Persephone almost had hearts for eyes as she said "My own superman!" Zeus trembled hearing that and Bonney said "Yeah! Amazing!" Zeus smiled slightly and rubbed Bonney's head while looking at Persephone as if he was trying to see through her, he remembered someone saying that to him a long, long, time ago.
Persephone smiled slight and didn't say anything else, she wasn't too sure but she had her guesses. Meanwhile Zeus, was stuck in his memories. Remembering a girl who used to call him that all the time, he became extremely sad and looked at Persephone before sighing and shaking his head, it was impossible.
Persephone felt her heart was being stabbed when he looked at her like that, she didn't know why but it came from deep within her. She had unlocked a bunch of memories when she got a head ache before but not all of them. Some were happy and others... not so much.
She really wanted to tell Zeus but she felt like he would be freaked out if she was wrong. After all it could all just be coincidences. Actually it really couldn't, how many coincidences does it take to become a fact? One, two? Three?
Zeus had reacted and said things that she felt familiar with on several different occasions. The french in Mariejoie, the reactions to 'Do you believe it?', when he had a scared look in his eyes when she said that he wasn't his father, the poem from before, and now his reaction to her calling him superman.
That's five separate occasions that confirm that Zeus knows what she's talking about, but Persephone denied it all, not because she wasn't sure but because she was scared. She was afraid that he wouldn't accept her if he knew, she was also terrified of the fact that she was turning into someone else. But she kept a smile on the surface, the last thing Zeus needed, whether he knew it or not, right now was more problems.
