บท 104: Chapter 104: I'm in love with you
"Wait. Are you the guy with the routine?" Facing a masked duo, Izuku asked.
"And who might you be referring to?" The tall man asked back as he took off his mask and sunglasses.
"I saw your video."
"Love-lover, turn the camera this way." The man instructed the girl beside him as he turned back to face Izuku.
"Leave UA out of this."
The current time now is 8:32 am. 1 hour and 28 minutes until class A's performance!
"The boy catches on quick." The man commented as he dropped off all the excess things he had on him to the floor, "La Brava!! Change of plans! From now on, no matter what happens, don't stop filming!"
The little girl, La Brava, nodded her head and replied as she pointed the camera at him, "Of course, Gentle!"
Seeing the man, Gentle, fling off his cloak in front of him, Brava was surprised.
"Wait, wait! You're gonna fight!? Here!? Is that really a good idea!!?"
Twirling around the cloak, Gentle did a gentleman's pose and announced to the camera, "Listeners! It begins now, the romance of the Wonder Man!! Watch carefully, for I am the chivalrous thief who will bring salvation. The gentle criminal!!"
Following Gentle's lead, Brava announced from behind the camera, "Our plans were foiled! And so here we are in our usual predicament."
"Let's make it short this time." Gentle declared as he did a weird pose and smiled at the camera, "You're watching 'Attempt to enter UA!!'"
'So direct!'
Izuku was a little speechless at the comedy duo but didn't let it stop him.
"Like I'll let you!" Going into Full Cowl mode immediately, he dashed towards Gentle in a straight line, but before he could reach him, he found himself separated by some sort of elastic barrier.
"What!?"
"You let me 'form' it whilst I was taking off my overcoat. If you're a listener, you're probably already aware. My quirk is...elasticity.
I bestow elasticity to things I touch. For example, if what I touch is air..."
Gentle did a gentlemanly bow and said, "...gentle rebound."
Izuku was blasted back towards his original place by his own force, causing smoke to be produced from the friction between Izuku's body and the ground.
Fortunately, the street was empty apart from the three of them, so no innocent bystanders were affected by their fight.
"That was extremely violent, Gentle..." Brava was genuinely surprised by how far Izuku was bounced back.
And it seemed that Gentle wasn't expecting that amount of force as well.
"Namely, if he can withstand a blow of that magnitude despite his appearance, he must be even more frightening! I am sorry, young man! But I must be off!" Brava and Gentle decided to make a tactical retreat. They dashed in the opposite direction from where Izuku was blasted towards.
However, Izuku wasn't just going to take this lying down. A year of being consistently beaten had made his body much more durable than before.
He quickly hopped back onto his feet and dashed towards them.
"If you want to apologize, then don't lay a hand on the school!"
"I'm afraid that's out of the question! Gently..." Gentle suddenly stopped in his tracks and spun around before palming the ground, "...trampoline!"
Izuku couldn't react to that broad area of effect of Gentle's quirk, and the ground suddenly turned into a trampoline, propelling Izuku towards the sky.
"When I was a student...I poured my heart and soul into school events. You probably have those sentiments a well right now, but this old beard and spirit of mine will not be denied today." Gentle said as he turned back and ran towards his partner, "This mission will inspire a story for the ages. I would appreciate it if you did not interfere!!"
Creating trampolines on the air, Gentle and Brava bounced from one trampoline to the next, effectively moving in the air.
"Farewell, oh sparkle of youth!!" Gentle yelled as he left Midoriya in the air.
Turning back, Brava suddenly remembered something.
"Gentle, I remember now!! That kid is Midoriya Izuku-kun! The crazy boy that fought by lifting up the damn stage at the sports festival!"
"What madness! We shouldn't get involved with him!!" Gentle's cowardly nature came into place. It wasn't that he was afraid of Izuku's strength. What he was scared of was the madness that Izuku was willing to go to accomplish his goal.
After all, Gentle never fought with violence head-on. Usually, his tricks were enough to beat any third-rate or second-rate criminals out there.
"We must accomplish this mission before he pursues us any further!" Gentle announced as he turned his face back to the camera, "Listeners...!! The plan 'Attempt to enter UA' is switching to a timed attack!"
While Izuku was upside down in the air, he thought about Gentle's words.
'You probably have those sentiments as well right now!'
His mind thought back to Jiro's happiness as she learned how to condense her notes from him.
His mind thought back to the time where Mina was instructing the dance team with passion.
His mind thought back to when Aoyama spun around mindlessly as he moved him around the gym, all to make a simple disco light.
His vision was upside down, but he didn't mind it.
'Before he lands!! I have to stop him!! Calm down!! If I panic, I'll miss it. Before he lands!! I have to stop him! Whichever way I-'
Izuku's thought was in shambles when Mina's face appeared in his face.
'No, Midoriya! How many times do I have to tell you!? In the middle of your movement! At that moment! Take hold of your sense!!'
"Thanks, Ashido."
Activating Full Cowl, Izuku held back his middle finger with his thumb and aimed it towards the back of Gentle.
He had learned a shockwave punch like All Might, but he couldn't do that in the middle of the residential compound. So he did the next best thing he could.
He focused the wind pressure so that it only hit a smaller area. With the help of All Might's suggestion and Hatsume's 'baby', he managed to create a new move.
"Delaware Smash Air Force!"
The air blast managed to hit it's intended target, but it wasn't enough. Furthermore, this move wasn't without its own drawback. Delaware Smash needed Izuku to focus the majority of One for All's power into one finger. Even if it's for a split second and didn't actually destroy his finger, it still hurt like hell.
"ARGH!!" Both Izuku and Gentle groaned in pain simultaneously.
"An air gun!!?" However, Gentle managed to withstand that air blast onto his back without any significant problem and continued hopping to the sky, albeit slowed down.
"No matter. That is not enough to stop me!! I will not be discouraged!!"
However, Izuku managed to land on his feet on a particular electrical pipeline, and, taking the opportunity that Gentle was slowed, he instantly made his way towards Gentle.
Gentle certainly didn't expect that Izuku would be able to catch up to him, and when Izuku was right behind him, he was shocked.
"These sentiments I have...are shared by everyone!!" Izuku exclaimed.
Gentle didn't care about what he said. What he wasn't too happy about was Izuku shouting by his ear.
"This youth...how disrespectful!!"
Comparing just pure strength, Gentle couldn't match against Izuku, and with the momentum, Izuku had while dashing towards Gentle, both of them blasted towards the construction site together.
"Gentle!!" Brava shouted with worry as tears started dripping from her eyes.

"Good morning! What are you up to?" Midnight walked towards All Might, who was fiddling with some sort of paper.
"Morning!" All Might greeted back but didn't have a chance to reply to her other question before moving towards him and picking up the paper that All Might was reading.
"A permission slip to go out? Today!?"
"Yeah. Apparently, Izuku has got two to three things he has to buy. So he went out to the foot of the hill to get them."
"They're already about to start, though! Isn't it cutting it too close? He's going to miss out." Midnight frowned a little before asking, "Why didn't he just ask Shido to help them buy those stuff? Surely he would have gotten it done within ten minutes or so with his teleportation."
"He said that it was for the plot." All Might replied before donning a confused face, "Huh?"
"Huh?" Midnight was confused as well.
"Izuku said that he didn't want to be overreliant on Shido, so he went out by himself."
"You said something about a plot before this sentence." Midnight frowned.
"What are you talking about?" All Might was genuinely confused. He didn't know what his fellow teacher was talking about, "I think you must not have had enough rest. Go take a break before the festival start."
Midnight wasn't convinced, but she went to take a small break since All Might insisted on it.

'I'm sorry, construction site!'
Izuku apologized to an inanimate object and space before using a metal pole to safely bring himself back to a stable platform.
Izuku shifted his head from one side to another, carefully searching for traces of elasticity left behind by Gentle so that he won't get caught up in it.
Jumping towards a nearby construction tower crane, he propelled himself towards Gentle, heading towards his school. His vision never leaving Gentle, he kept an eyeful on him.
"If possible, your quirk is something I had planned to reserve for the time of our retreat..." Gentle spoke towards his partner, who yelled in reply, "But, but, at this rate, our plan will be a complete disaster!!"
Safelt landing on solid ground, Gentle finally released Brava and said, "I'm well aware!! Because it's a timed attack, it's unavoidable...I'm counting on you, La Brava!"
Turning his head towards the sky, he was startled to see Izuku just thirty meters away from him.
"Such speed!!"
Izuku's middle finger was pulled back once more, and Gentle, who was now familiar with his gesture, put up an elastic wall to counter against Izuku's painful air blast.
However, unexpectedly, Izuku managed to remember where Gentle had placed his 'air pockets' to help cushion his landing.
And Izuku used the same 'air pockets' to propel himself.
Fwoosh!
Izuku zipped past Gentle without any trouble and was currently behind him.
Gentle wasn't some inexperienced young man without fighting experience at all. He immediately reacted and put up another 'air pocket' where he predicted that Izuku would aim.
However, Izuku managed to shift his aim at the last minute and directed at the first 'air pocket' that was initially used to block his air bullet, and the impact managed to rebound against Gentle's 'air pocket' and hit in straight in the stomach.
"GHA-" Blood spurted from his mouth as he felt the impact of the air bullet.
Brava saw what happened to Gentle from a distance and did not hesitate to run towards him, not caring whether Izuku was there or not.
Obviously, Izuku wasn't going to let the two go free, so after steadying himself, he dashed towards the both of them and pinned them down, face first towards the floor with their hands secured behind their back.
He directed all his weight onto both of them, mainly Gentle since Izuku observed that he was more of a threat than the little girl.
"You too, miss. Don't resist. Just give it up."
Seeing Gentle's condition, Brava teared up.
"Gentle...!!!"
She thought back on her past, how she was made fun of by the person she had built up the courage to write a love letter.
She lost trust in everything after that incident, had no purpose in her life.
Until she met the man.
The man gave her the light that she desperately wanted in her life. Gentle criminal accepted her without any hesitation, unlike everyone else who made fun of her.
He became the sole reason why she decided to live on.
Just for him...
Just for him!!
"I'm delivering you to the police right this instant."
Facing each other, both Gentle and Brava smiled.
"Gentle, my gentle!" Brava said with tears dripping down her eyes.
"I'm in love with you."
