But then, she was suddenly reminded of something. She glared at him intently as she vanished into the dense jungle. 

David stood in a daze as he breathed deeply, struggling to calm himself and his other self down, he was totally hooked, there was no way to escape from her charm. Gazing softly at her receeding beautiful figure. 

Although he still wasn't aware of what the hell was happening to him every time he saw the girl, he was visible relieved to find out that he wasn't the only one to feel that way. It seems the connection goes both ways. 

And he had made some speculations regarding what was happening but still, he placed it at the back of his mind, as the thought wasn't logical.
