บท 462: The Power of Nika

"WHY DIDN'T ANYONE FUCKING TELL ME ABOUT THIS!?!" Alex swore loudly as he watched the full moon rise higher, before he teleported both Jade and Mochi away to a remote part of Pangea. He wasn't worried about their safety though, as both girls had already begun growing larger in his arms.

Instead, Alex was worried about the rest of his children, as well as Myuu and Videl, as they too began their first ever Oozaru transformation. Altogether that would be twenty-one transformed Saiyans rampaging in the middle of their party, which wouldn't be that hard to handle after Alex teleported them away. What bothered him the most about the current situation though, was that no one thought to mention the appearance of a new moon on Pangea when there were several Saiyans around.

He'd cross that bridge when he got to it though, and so Alex decided to focus on dealing with the current problem first as the rest of the children began their transformation as well.

Thankfully he wouldn't have to worry about Goten, Trunks, Gine, Goku, or Bardock, as the last two were still training in the space-time orb, and the other three were staying at home with moon tinted windows. There were however four other Saiyans that were still training in the wilds, but Vegeta Sr./Jr. And Raditz had all undergone training to control their transformations, while future Trunks was with his grandfather, who Alex trusted to keep his grandson in check as he rampaged.

So, all Alex had to worry about were the nineteen children still present, as he hurriedly transferred them all to the same area where he'd sent Jade and Mochi. And once that was done, Alex magically amplified his voice before declaring,

"Attention everyone! I apologize for the suddenness, but the appearance of the full moon has prompted an...unforeseen situation to arise. Thank you all for a wonderful evening, but I will now be taking my leave."

Then without another word, Alex teleported away himself, leaving his guests stunned at what just happened.

Once Alex arrived at the location where he sent the children he was greeted with a scene of mindless destruction as twenty-one Great Apes rampaged. Some were fighting each other, others were wandering around, and the rest were actively destroying anything around them.

Among them Alex could identify nine by sight due to the 'unique' physical characteristics they inherited from their mothers. First was Myuu, who still had her fin-like ears and webbed fingers/toes. Then there was Mai with her cat-ears and patches of white fur, along with the three tails swaying behind her.

After her was Regal, who had streaks of orange and gold in his fur that marked those of the house of Phenix, as if the flames he was breathing wasn't indicator enough. Then was the duo of Yuki and Aurora, both with the greatest differences yet with their pure snow-white fur and blizzards forming around them.

Similarly to them though was the godly trio of Nocta, Freydis, and Aife, who all had pure black, gold(not SSJ gold), and fiery red fur respectively, while Nocta was surrounded by a veil of darkness and Aife by fire. And then finally was Andre, who was distinguishable from his siblings simply due to his sheer size compared to the rest.

"What is that boy eating...?" Alex uttered as he marveled at his son's size, as even in his Great Ape form he towered over the rest of his siblings.

Thankfully though Videl, Edith, Alec, Anna, Lizzy, Ryuto, Shuri, Lana, Saya, Rito, Mochi, and Jade all seemed to simply be in the standard Great Ape transformation, and didn't have any of the 'quirks' the others were showing.

"But how should I deal with this...?" Alex asked himself as he contemplated the current situation.

The quickest and easiest solution would be to either destroy the new moon or cut off the kids tails, both of which he could easily reverse afterwards with Regeneration magic. However Alex was also reluctant to do since this could also be a good chance, a chance for the children to learn how to control their Great Ape transformations for the future.

So, Alex put a barrier in place around them to keep all of the children contained in with him, and prevent them from rampaging where they could run into other. However it wasn't designed to keep people out, as indicated when someone asked behind him a moment later,

"So what now?" Alex turned to face the new arrivals, which was composed of quite the crowd that included the mothers of all the children, Remia, Gabriel, Koneko, Anne, Ravel, Serafall, Mizore, Tsurara, Rias, Akeno, Grayfia, Nyx, Freya, Brigid, Levy, Shizuku, Yui, Mirajane, and Hisui. Aside from them was Beerus, Whis, Zeno, the Grand Priest, and three of the Angels from the other twelve universes, Kusu, Vados, and Marcarita.

Though he was curious as to why the King of All had come as well, along with Beerus and the Angels, Alex put it out of his mind as he answered Brigid's question.

"Well, I'm thinking I'll use this chance to try and help them learn how to control their Great Ape transformations. The only problem is, I don't know how they're supposed to learn how to control themselves..."

If they all hadn't been flying in the air(either through their own power or Lala's mass produced artificial wings), then all of the mothers would've fallen over like they did earlier when meeting Zeno. That didn't diminish the ridiculousness of the situation though, since Alex's plan was apparently to teach the children to do something he used his 'Mental Resistance' skill to do.

"And how exactly do you plan to do that?" Grayfia asked in a less than amused tone, to which Alex was silent for a moment as he pondered how to answer, before saying with a shrug,

"I'll just beat up on them until either they take control, or dawn arrives." The mothers just gaped at Alex in dumbfoundment, while Grayfia just massaged her temples while saying,

"I suppose I should've expected as much..." Seeing her just give in to Alex's plan, Yui sputtered while awkwardly moving towards him, due to her not being used to the artificial wings,

"W-wait a second!!! You're really just going to go over there and beat up our son just like that!?! What about your Spirit magic or something?!" Alex just shook his head while explaining,

"That would certainly work for this time, but it's not a permanent fix. Even when Lauren did the same for me before, I still rampaged when I transformed next." Yui bit her lower lip when she heard that, obviously still not content with Alex's plan. But, since she didn't know the first thing about magic and transformations herself, she couldn't offer any type of solution.

However it wasn't like Alex didn't understand her point of view, after all Yui was still just a 'normal' human compared to the rest of the mothers, and had NO intention of ever entering combat herself. Knowing this, Alex pulled her close and planted a chaste kiss on her lips, making Yui turn completely red at the public display of affection as she grumbled,

"How shameless..." Alex smirked at her reaction and was tempted to tease her further, but an ear-shattering roar from one of the Great Apes drew his attention back to the main problem at hand.

"Right.... You all may want to back up." Raising their brows at his warning, the girls slowly backed away several feet, only for him to say,

"A bit more." Their eyes narrowed as they moved several more feet back, only for Alex to smirk as he said,

"Further." Their curiosity rising, the women moved backed even further and continued moving until Alex indicated that they were ok...maybe. Hoping they far enough away, Alex did something none of them were expecting as his entire body was suddenly engulfed in brilliant white flames.

"Kyaaa!"

"Get back!"

The girls cried out as they hurriedly fled the area due to the bight white flames now engulfing Alex's body, which also filled the area with an intense heat that even the Phoenix Ravel and fire goddess Brigid couldn't handle.

"What is this!?!" Gabriel demanded as the flames continued circling Alex's body, which were so bright they hurt even her eyes when she looked at them, before she and the others felt a certain type of aura coming from him.

"Do you feel that?" The shortest of the three Angels accompanying the Grand Priest, Kusu, asked. Vados nodded as she said,

"Indeed, that is the power of a god." Next to her was the remaining angel, Marcarita, who remarked,

"I haven't seen the divine power of the gods used in such a way before. This will certainly be interesting." None of the three Angels were sure why their father brought them here with him, but the current situation was definitely interesting to them. Their interest increased when a certain melody began emanating from the swirling vortex of flames, which Whis and Beerus recognized immediately alongside Alex's wives.

*DUM DUT DA DA🎶!*

"This is...?" Remia questioned curiously, having been hearing about the mysterious drumbeats, but not yet heard them herself.

"That is the sound of the Drums of Liberation." Alex's voice answered their curiosity as the flames finally began to die down, revealing his newest and what he considered to be his most powerful form to them.

Pure white flames flowed down from Alex's head in a brilliant mane, matching the rings of flame that cuffed his wrists and ankles. Even Alex's Saiyan tail, which was usually only a few feet long, now extended behind him by several meters while similarly being coated in the white flames.

Even now, the light and heat coming from the flames made the girls uncomfortable looking directly at Alex, or even being near him, while their surroundings had completely lit up as if he were the sun itself, and it were the middle of the day instead of night.

*DUM DUT DA DA🎶!*

With the drum-like sound of his heart reaching its loudest point yet, Alex's voice echoed as he said to them,

"This is the fully awakened power of the Devil Fruit I ate, the power of the sun God Nika." The girl's eyes widen in shock when they heard that, as Alex never told them the truth behind his Devil Fruit, only that there was more to it than being a simple rubber fruit.

Any questions they had would need to wait though, as his flashy transformation and loud heartbeat attracted the attention of the transformed children, who were all sending dangerous looks in Alex's direction, as if their instincts were telling them to eliminate him as soon as possible.

The one nearest to them, Alec, opening his mouth wide to reveal an increasingly powerful glow, that erupted into a massive and long beam of energy that was fired directly at Alex.

With a near-crazed smile on his face, Alex swiftly dodged the attack before reaching out with his extended arm, and GRABBING the massive beam of energy from the side. Though it stretched impossibly, the beam of energy snapped back to its original form and held it so that it looked like Alex was holding onto a giant pool noodle made of light.

"And for my first trick-!" Alex cried out as he ignored the stupefied expressions around him, before he turned in an attempt to hide his actions from everyone as he did something to the elongated beam of energy.

"Ta da! A giant poodle!" Alex exclaimed a moment later while holding up the mass of energy, which he had bent and shaped like a balloon into an animal.

"I-is he being serious...?" Beerus asked, giving Alex's idiocy a less than amused look.

"How curious..." Whis uttered with a different expression on his face than Beerus, as he wondered HOW Alex managed to manipulate a mass of raw energy in such a way. Then there was someone else with an entirely different reaction.

"HOW COOL!" Zeno exclaimed with stars in his eyes as he looked at the poodle with longing, making the Grand Priest chuckle wryly while looking at Alex with an amused expression, while his daughters appeared to have the same intrigue as their brother.

Alex's wives on the other hand appeared less than amused at the situation for the most part, as Levy uttered in disbelief,

"Is he having fun with this...?" Naturally with the already tense situation, several of the mothers didn't like the idea of Alex just 'having fun'. But, before any of them could voice their complaints, a new voice said,

"I wouldn't take his current attitude too seriously, that's just how Nika is." The girls turned to see that none of them noticed Elaine's arrival, before Grayfia furrowed her brows as she asked,

"What do you mean by 'that's just how Nika is'?" Elaine sighed as she watched Alex tie two of the Saiyan children's tails together, and said,

"Nika IS a sun god, but the thing he is most associated is 'freedom'."

"Freedom?" Koneko asked suspiciously, to which Elaine explained,

"Yes, freedom. Nika is considered to be the embodiment of freedom itself, and is called the 'Warrior of Liberation' who travels from place to place, liberating those who need it while bringing smiles to their faces. Their power is only limited by their imagination, as they effect anything and everything around them."

The girls were silent as they absorbed this, before Serafall asked with a wry smile,

"But can someone who's an emperor REALLY be considered a 'liberator' though?" Though several of the girls agreed with Serafall's question somewhat, they were all surprised when the cold and taciturn Elaine smirked, and answered,

"Monkey D. Luffy, the man who currently owns the original fruit in the world they come from, is a notorious pirate who gained the majority of his infamy from defeating people that have oppressed others in some way or form. In the country of Alabasta he defeated a rival pirate who planned to take over the country in a coup. In Skypia he defeated its current ruler, 'god', before he could carry out his plan to slaughter the entire population that followed him.

"Then when just a single one of his crew mates was arrested, simply for the crime of living, he declared war on the entire world and sacked one of the marines greatest strongholds just to get her back. He then defeated someone who stole a ton of people's shadows, helped free an entire auction house of slaves after one of his friends was caught, led a mass breakout in the world's most fortified prison, attacked the marine headquarters to stop his brother's execution, prevented yet another coup in the mermaid kingdom, freed numerous children who were being experimented on, freed an entire nation from the ruthless tyranny they were under without even knowing it, and much more.

"All the while he refused to be called a hero, because he was a pirate and didn't want to be considered a 'good' guy. And then he was eventually raised to the position of one of the world's four pirate Emperors due to the people that chose to follow him of their own free will, the strength he eventually possessed after so many battles, and the number of powerful people he had defeated. All the while he himself didn't want the position, nor the responsibility of the people who wanted to follow him."

When Elaine finished speaking none of the mothers couldn't quite think of anything to say, as what Elaine described fit Alex almost perfectly. He had in some way defended or 'liberated' the people of nearly every world they had been to, genuinely hated being considered anything close to a 'hero', and had been made into a god-emperor by those who followed him despite his own wishes.

"But what does that have to do with the way he's currently acting?" Shizuku asked as she continued watching Alex fight the children, all the while seeming like he was having fun while doing so. Elaine however sighed as she bluntly said,

"Zoan fruits have a will of their own. And while Nika isn't directly changing Alex or manipulating him in any way, when he 'awakens' like this the sun god's influence on him is much stronger. Putting it plainly, Nika is making Alex act in a way where he doesn't have nearly as many inhibitions in what he does. It'll wear off when he cancels the transformation though, and believe it or not, he's actually managed to limit the influence Nika has on him quite a bit."

The girls had to question that last part when they saw Alex gesture Beerus over for a moment, before using his abilities to bend and wrap Beerus up into a ball, which he then hit and kicked so that it bounced between the rampaging Great Apes like a giant rubber pinball, complete with magically generated sound effects.

Hours passed as Alex 'played' with his children until the Great Apes were nearly collapsing from exhaustion, during which time several of them had managed to take control of their transformations with enough hits to the head. Of the twenty one children, Myuu, Videl, Edith, Mai, Alec, and Anna had all managed to regain control of themselves, before using their strength to help Alex reign in the other children.

Eventually, just before the sun began rising, the moon finally set on the horizon.

With it disappearing the children all began shrinking down until they were back in their original forms, and fell into a deep sleep. Alex quickly canceled his transformation before he hurriedly collected the sleeping children alongside his wives, wrapping them in blankets as they went due to them shredding their clothes when they transformed.

With the sleeping Myuu and Videl in his arms, Alex approached the rest of the spectators as he said to them,

"Sorry for the trouble, I was unaware that Pangea had captured a moon in its orbit." Zeno however said,

"It's ok, I was really entertained by everything that happened last night! Especially the way you turned Beerus into a ball! That was really funny!" Zeno then began to laugh while the aforementioned God hurriedly took shelter behind his attendant, and began grumbling something about getting Alex back for this.

Rolling his eyes, Alex then looked at the Grand Priest, his gaze passing over the three Angels curiously. Noticing this, the Grand Priest then declared to both Alex and his daughters,

"Kusu, Marcarita, and Vados are the Angels I have decided to gift to you, as per your previous request." Alex cocked a brow as he ran his gaze over the three Angels in question.

Vados and Marcarita were both as tall as their brother Whis, with many similar facial features, while the former had her white hair tied straight up in a long ponytail that went down to her butt, and the latter had her hair tied up into twin ponytails on either side of her head. Kusu on the other hand was fairly short compared to her sisters, while also appearing younger despite being the eldest amongst her siblings, with her mid-length white hair being draped over her shoulder in a braid.

He HAD asked the Grand Priest for his own angel attendant, like all of the gods of Destruction had, but he hadn't said anything about needing three of them, or for all them to be female.

"I figured that given your circumstances three Angels would be better than the standard of just one." The Grand Priest said as he explained his reasoning for the amount, though Alex noticed he pointedly didn't say anything about them all being his daughters. None of them seemed to be surprised at how they were to be working for Alex now either, as Kusu stepped forward and bowed while saying,

"Greetings. It is my honor to be able to serve you." Following her was Vados and Marcarita as they mimicked their elder sister's greeting, before their father continued,

"While you were busy with your children, I explained the situation to them along with the fact that their usual restrictions as 'observers' were no longer in place, so feel free to utilize them as needed." Alex's brows shot up when he heard that, since he was somewhat aware that the Angel attendants of the gods of destruction were unable to actively involve themselves in the going ons of the universe they were in. So, if someone wanted to destroy the entirety of Universe Seven, then Whis would only be able to sit at the sidelines and maybe lightly advise whoever was trying to stop it, but would be unable to prevent it himself.

Now however Alex could use them as combatants if the need arose, along with his original intention to have them help him become stronger.

While Elaine was a powerful opponent for him to spar against, she was unable to actually teach him due to the restrictions placed on her by the Creator. So, Alex decided to try and get his own angel while they were in this universe since they would be able to help correct some of the mistakes he made during his spars, as well as teach him some of the more powerful techniques used in these universes.

"I'm pleased to have all of you. As you can see my hands are a bit full at the moment, but if you'll follow us then we can get the three of you settled in Asora. Also thank you for granting my wish, Grand Priest." Nodding in affirmation, the trio of angel sisters followed Alex as he walked through a wall of mist to directly enter the Misty Manor, where the mothers were waiting for him with the rest of the children.
