บท 16: Useless
"Well, before you start your training I think I'd better introduce myself sooner." The young man spoke as he smiled at Kira.
"Oh, your name is not Kuro?" Kira asked.
"No, Kuro is my Master, my name is Shiro. Shiro asked with a smile.
"Racist." Kira spoke coldly.

"Nothing, I just thought it appropriate." Kira spoke normally.
"Well, it does not matter, your training will be divided into three parts: Physical training, Kenjutsu and Meditation." Shiro spoke solemnly.
"Physical training and Kenjutsu I understood, but why Meditation?" Kira asked.
"Well, your biggest problem is staying calm, so your biggest focus for now will be to meditate." Shiro spoke calmly.
"Ah? I do not need your help to keep my mind calm." Kira spoke coldly.
"Seriously? Then answer me a question: What are you thinking now while I'm talking?" Shiro asked.
"What am I thinking? I'm thinking I might be training, and this is a waste of time!" Kira answered coldly.
"Exactly! You think talking to people is a waste of time!" Shiro spoke earnestly.
Kira unconsciously nodded.
"Well, what then?" Shiro asked irritably.
"So what?" Kira asked, he had not understood the question.
"And when you're strong enough, and when you're strong enough to defeat anyone on this continent, what will you do?" Shiro asked even more irritably.
"I ... I do not know ..." Kira hesitated to answer.
Kira had only thought about how weak he was. Only on how he could get stronger. Only on how he could protect those whom he loves.
But now that Kira had stopped to think, he realized that it was useless.
It is useless to have the strength but to be lonely.
It is useless to be on top of the world but not to have people by your side.
It is useless to stay strong to protect the one you love, but not to have someone to protect.
"It's ... useless ..." Kira murmured.
"Yes, it's useless!" Shiro spoke coldly.
"S-so, what am I supposed to do?" Kira asked Shiro.
"You must find an answer. Every person in this world is unique, so there is a different answer for each person." Shiro spoke with a gentle smile.
"Every person in this world is unique ..." Kira thought about that.
"Well, I've changed my mind, your training will begin in three days, and in the meantime try to find your own answer." Shiro spoke quietly as he returned to his tea.
"Yes ..." Kira said as he headed toward the exit.
"This kid ... he looks like the one with that crazy ..." Shiro thought when he felt a shiver run through his body.
"That crazy one is from another continent, and I do not think Kira is related to that crazy ... I really hope he has no connection with that crazy ..." Shiro let his imagination run wild.

Three days passed in the blink of an eye. In those three days, Kira did not do his daily training, but he still trained in his dreams.
On these three days Kira thought hard about what Shiro said. Kira was confused.
Kira could not find an answer, but he decided he should stay strong.
He thought about it. He knew he could not force an answer. So he decided that he would be strong. He would be strong and then he would be worried about the answer.
After thinking about it, Kira had a smile on his face.

As Kira was going to Shiro's house, the smile on his face did not subside.
That smile made many girls blush. Kira was already very handsome, but with that smile on hid face his beauty rose on several levels.
As Kira walked, he caught sight of Yuno. For some reason he decided to walk to her.

"That ... Nothing. Nothing happened." Yuno spoke as she forced a smile.
Kira perished that Yuno was not going to talk about it with him, so he did not dwell on it.
"Well, if anything happens, do not hesitate to let me know." Kira spoke quietly, but his words made Yuno confused.
"Ah, what happened to you, and why would you help me, and you do not even know me?" Yuno asked confused and alert.
In the three days that passed, the root member kept urging Ken to join the root.
The root member had said that Ken had another week to make his decision, before any 'accident' happened.
That's why Yuno was worried.
And at that moment, Kira approached her. Kira's personality was totally different from normal, and he even offered to help his if there was a problem.
Yuno was worried, thinking that Kira might be a member of the root.
And their worries are not without reason, since no one changes from night to day. And Kira really changed very fast.
"Is he here to take me hostage?" Yuno wondered with fear and concern.

"It does not matter anymore. Lord Danzo just ordered that we should capture him alive." He answered what appeared to be the leader.
"But for a weak, it's even fast." Another root member spoke.
After digging deeper into the forest, Ken suddenly stopped. He then turned to the root members.
"You forced me to do that!" Ken yelled as his eyes slowly turned.
Ken's eyes were like a Sharingan of the Uchiha clan, but he was white as the Byakugan of the Hyuuga clan.
When the root members saw their eyes, they felt death was staring at them.
"T-this ... What's this ?!" Shouted the leader with awe in his voice.
"Dead do not need to know!" Ken said when he suddenly attacked.

Kira was quietly walking toward Shiro's house. Meanwhile, Kira was wondering why he acted so strangely today.

Kira then took off his weights. Kira was still only a child so he managed to carry Ken just in the princess style.
Kira quickly ran toward Konoha with Ken in his arms. Kira's speed without the weights was too fast, but he was carrying Ken who was injured so he could not go with all his speed.
Still, Kira was very fast.
Kira quickly arrived at the Konoha hospital. As soon as he entered, Kira shouted that it was an emergency.
The doctors quickly took Ken to try to save him. Kira entered with Ken, worried that they would attack him again.
Kira knew that was unlikely to happen, but he felt he should not move away from Ken now.
He did not know why, but Kira believed in his instincts, so he did not pull away and stayed with Ken throughout the treatment.
Kira did not seem to notice, but one of the doctors looked at him with a cold face. That doctor was a member of the root, who was infiltrating the Konoha medical unit.
