บท 30: Knuckle
6 hours later...
Tian Feng came out of the library. He has collected two third of the books but among them, there were only a few blueprints.
Unlike last time, this time his soul is much stronger and he could still go on if not for the library is closing.
He plans to finish it by tomorrow and then buy materials by then too. If only he could become a member, he would be able to access all the books on higher floors.
Suddenly he had an idea. If I use astral projection, people wouldn't see me but I need to test if I could go through the wall and touch the stone book.
Hurriedly back to his room, he didn't even have dinner. He entered his room and then locked it.
Lying on his bed, he used astral projection. He could see himself sleeping. He was floating. Without any hesitation, he tried to go through the wall. Unintentionally, it was the wall separating his room and Li'er room.
When he passed through the wall, he felt joy in his heart but when he saw Li'er, he was scared for a moment but soon he fly toward her and float in front of her to test if she could notice his presence.
Li'er was focusing on her research. Tian Feng didn't have a single idea on what she was working on but he didn't expect that she was working this hard. An indescribable feeling built up inside his heart but he didn't think much into it.
He flies through her to have another test again. However this time, Li'er open her eyes wide and stop whatever she was doing. She started to look around, Tian Feng was scared that she might see him but when he flies in front of her, it seems like she can't see him and only felt something when he flew through her earlier.
He made a mental note not to fly through people later. He wants to test with a stone book but there's no stone book here. Seeing that Li'er has continued her works. He left and head toward the Blacksmith Hall again.
He arrived at the library without any trouble. Continue from where he left in the evening, he tried to pick up a stone but his hand went through it.
He tried to use his soul energy to pick it up. Only then that he's able to hold the stone book. He infused his soul energy into the stone hoping that it would work.
It did work and he's so happy now.
Without waiting, he continued to collect books. It doesn't matter what book because each book will give him points. Even if it's just a little, an ant is still meat and it will be accumulated.
Another 6 hours...
He finished collecting all the books in the Blacksmith Library and found a total of 49 blueprints including the ones from the day.
Seeing that there are still times before sunrise, he decided to go to the Library which stores cultivation technique and martial skill again in hope of getting any skill that has the healing effect and if it's not found then he will go to Medicine Hall again.
With this thought in mind, he proceeded to the Library.
He quickly collected the rest of the book without a care in the world. The higher the floor the lesser the books so he only spend a little time to collect everything. However, when he comes out, he realized that there's not enough time to go to medicine hall anymore.
He didn't worry though because he still has a lot more times thus he went back to his room. Entering his body, he sat up with a smile on his face. He gained a lot from just one night.
He didn't hurry to assimilate the books though. The first thing he wants to do was to earn points and to earn points, he needs to smith item. The 49 blueprints were already automatically added to the smith function.
All he needs to do was to choose what to make and provide the required materials.
Clearing his head from distracting thought, he started to cultivate. Since his cultivation can't be depended on system points then he must work hard on it by himself.
2 hours later...
"This technique is not easy to cultivate at all." Tian Feng is now about to cry.
At first, he thought that cultivate three different things separately is hard, that's why he fused these techniques together but now it's even harder to cultivate this new technique. It's been 2 hours and there's little to no progress at all.
Looking at the experience bar that shows unknown, he felt dishearten. He doesn't even know if the last 2 hours was wasted or not and there's nothing he can do about this problem.
Walking out of his room, he headed to the Blacksmith Hall but just then Li'er came out of her room too and they ended up going to have breakfast first. Li'er accompanied him to the Blacksmith Hall. He already exchanged some points for energy pills so that he can buy materials.
They bought materials without any problem except that his inventory slot is filled and he doesn't want to spend points to unlock it so he had to buy a carriage and carry everything back.
Li'er asked him why he bought so many materials and he just told her the truth except for the system part and he promised to give her a set of clothes so she joyfully jumping around the carriage.
After moving everything into his room, he started his work. Earlier Li'er wanted to watch him but he rejected her, telling her to do her works.
First, he created a sword. It only took a few minutes. Then he created a dagger and it also took just a few minutes.
After creating one item from each blueprint he can get as an apprentice, he discovered that no matter what item he created, it'll still take a few minutes. Those weapons he created so far were only ordinary weapons without any effect or attributes.
He started to create higher tier item with the blueprint from the higher floor and some items have the effect of increase attack by 100 Jin or so. The rest of the blueprints can't be created as it lacks materials.
It's all ordinary weapons and couldn't be sold for a high price. At most, it'll be sold for 1000 energy pills, which is too little for Tian Feng.
He stopped smithing and asked. [Yuki! Can I buy another blueprint?]
Yuki: "Yes, but it's only a bronze tier blueprint."
[Did you know what kind of weapon does the student here use?]
"Mostly normal weapon while few have high tier weapon."
[What is the difference between ordinary weapons and bronze tier weapons?]
"Normal weapon is made by commoner while bronze tier weapon is made by cultivator and having some attributes or effects"
[What is higher than gold tier?]
"Earth tier"
[Can you buy one blueprint of that tier?]
"The cheapest one is ten million points and if included the materials that you don't have now, it'll be 15000000 points. Do you still want to buy?"
[No! Not buying anymore. How much does it cost for materials to smith another turtle shell set for Li'er?]
"120000 points"
Points are his problem and on top of it, this academy ranked last among the four academies thus it's poor. Even if he managed to make a higher tier item, no one will have enough energy pill to buy.
If I follow the blueprint, it'll too cheap but If I buy blueprint from the system then it'll too high. I need something in the middle of this.
[Can I create my own blueprints, Yuki?]
"Of course, as long as you know how to."
[Now I don't know but I'll know soon after I assimilated all the book from Blacksmith Hall, right?]
3 days later...
"Finally...hahaha" Tian Feng is laughing alone inside his room. Finally, he has finished assimilating all the books from the Blacksmith Hall. "Let's start to design a new blueprint. Let's make a silver tier knuckle first since everyone already has a sword."
Several hours later, he finally finished his new blueprint which required little materials and has good effect 5% chance to cause bleeding.
After much works, he got his first knuckle. Without waiting, he dashed out toward the Blacksmith hall to try selling it.
He arrived in front of the receptionist, he didn't bother to sell it anywhere else and directly sell it to the Blacksmith hall because he can't be bothered to spend time putting up a stand and attending to it here.
"Hello, little boy, what do you need?" a lady said with a smile.
Tian Feng didn't mind with any of these small little things, there are only points in his mind right now. "I want to sell this." He then passed the knuckle over.
Receiving the item, she was a bit surprised "Oh...a silver tier weapon? 10000 energy pills, is that alright?"
Afraid that the lady before him doesn't know of the effect, he hurriedly added. "It has the effect of 5% chance to cause bleeding."
