Capítulo 13: Making Fortune
Arriving at the Central Shop, Zed immediately became the center of attraction.
His carcass catches everyone attention, due to it's big size and the mark beside the carcass's eye.
"Is that a bloodline monster?"
"Oh my god, this is the first time i have ever seen a bloodline monster"
"That mark... IS A KING OF THE SEA MARK!"
"WHAT?! how did he meet that beast, isn't it supposed to be in the seas? there is no sea near eplodon city"
"It will cost two million at least, oh my god i can live a luxurious live with that kind of money"
"The beast core is gone tough, did that guy absorbed it? what a waste it is really good for mages to help them comprehend water frevor"
Everyone discussed about Zed's carcass, they didn't even bother to hide their surprised faces
Walking to one of the Central Shop clerk, Zed with his tired face said "Excuse me, i want to sell this carcass"
With round eyes while looking at the carcass, the clerk replied "Esteemed guest, let me guide you to another room to identify your goods and calculate the price of this carcass"
The clerk think in her head, 'If this guy can kill the beast, then he is certainly not a low ranked fighter'
Thankfully, the clerk offer the Central Shop guards to carry the carcass and Zed happily accept it.
After walking upstairs to the fourth floor, the clerk finally stop at one of a big door with a "VIP" sign on it. Leading Zed inside and letting Zed sit on a nice couch, the clerk then go out and came back not soon after with an old man with white beard and wearing eyeglasses.
The white beard old man sit in front of Zed with a smile on his face, "May i know what should i address young sir with?"
"Zed" said zed nonchalantly
" So Sir Zed, may i look at your carcass and identify it?, our store guarantee that we will not cheat you in anyway" Said the old man with a professional look
After giving the old man a nod, the old man then start to take his equipment and start to analyze the carcass by lifting its mouth to look at it's teeth, taking it's saliva, opening it's eyes, and all needed component to identify the carcass.
The old man do it professionally.
After a smooth twenty minutes the old man sat back down in front of Zed.
"I have identified your carcass sir Zed, this beast is a peak Wild Beast almost reached Predatory Beast if given another year called 'The Stalking Lake Serpent'. It is a water beast with a King of The Sea bloodline mark, the bloodline is thin for about two percent but still it is a King of The Sea bloodline." Said the old man with a professional aura around him
The old man then continued,"Judging from it's size it have lived for at least Seventy years. in general a basic Stalking Lake Serpent is rare enough costing fifty five thousand gold, for this one who can give the user a water frevor, attribute frevor and the King of The Sea bloodline if eaten it is worth about two million and five hundred thousand gold"
"But.."
Just as Zed jaw dropped from the price of the beast he killed, he soon shut his mouth due to the last word the old man said.
Zed thinks hard on his head, 'But what?.... is it a fake monster or is it a different monster?'
Before Zed heads go wild from thinking about it the old man continued
"It's beast core is already taken, i assume it is absorbed by you. The beast core is where most of it's bloodline reside so it is worth sixty percent of the price. Because it have no beast core in it, it will cut the carcass worth to one miliion, and the carcass is not in the best shape so it will further go down to nine hundred and fifty thousand gold"
"How about it sir Zed, the Central Shop is willing to pay nine hundred and fifty thousand gold for this carcass, do we have a deal?" the old man knit his eyes to try and figure out what's on Zed's head
Thinking briefly Zed answered, "a Deal it is then" while reaching out his hand as a sign of a deal.
After finish signing documents related to the transaction, Zed is given a black magic pouch as a gift which contain nine hundred and fifty thousand gold in it.
Walking out of Central Shop it is already past midnight.
Warrior and Mages as they climb through the rank they can stay awake longer than lower rank fighter, Zed can stay awake for five days straight if he wants to.
With the money he got from the beast carcass, Zed wanted to go to the waterfall bath in the center of the city to relax his mind a little.
The city street in the night is still bustling with people coming in and out of the shop. Passing by a tailor shop, Zed then look at himself.
An underwear made of beast skins, a pouch tied to his waist, and nothing else.
Feeling sorry for himself, he decided to buy a set of clothes for himself.
Opening the door, a bell ring signaling to the store clerk that there's a customer.
The clerk greeted with a cheerful voice from the back of the store, "Welcome esteemed customer, what can i help you today?"
When the clerk saw Zed, she then screamed, "PERVERTT!! GET OUT OF MY STORE"
Smiling wryly because of the sudden event, Zed tried to calm the clerk store down.
"calm down beautiful lady, i'm not a pervert" said Zed with wry smile on his face
The clerk answered, "That's exactly what a pervert will say"
The clerk then began to push Zed out of the store while screaming "Help Help!! There's a pervert trying to rape me!!"
Zed was dumbfounded, 'I only want to buy some clothes' Zed thoughts inside his head while ridiculing himself due to his appearance.
The crowd of people looked at his direction, some started to charge at him while some who had seen Zed brought a huge beast decided to not interfere after looking at Zed.
"Young miss what did he do to you, are you hurt?" Said a arrogant looking guy while giving Zed glares
"He tried to rape me inside my own store" respond the store clerk
Hearing what the clerk said, the arrogant looking guy take big strides toward Zed.
Seeing the guy walking towards him, Zed said "Playing hero? don't make me laugh". Zed said this because he know that the guy only want to court the Clerk through beating Zed up.
Because of his young age which is still hot blooded, Zed punch the guy who walk into his punching range thinking, 'i didn't do anything wrong, just because a girl said i am pervert then you all assume that it is true?'
The arrogant looking guy was sent flying because of Zed's punch crashing to the tailor shop.
After crashing and throwing a mouthful of blood, the arrogant looking guy screamed, "HOW DARE YOU!! I AM FROM LANMOND HOUSEHOLD!"
Hearing what the guys said, Zed smirk and said, "So what? do you really think i care?"
"Youu..!" just before the guy can say another word, Zed slapped him on his face.
"Don't assume things, just because a girl told me i'm a rapist you decided to believe her? a man should have their own principal" said Zed with a mocking look on his face
After Zed said that someone on the onlooking crowd said, "I've seen this guy, he is an expert who sold a bloodline monster to the Central Shop. With the money and power he have, there's no way that he need to rape the clerk. If he wants a girl to sleep with, he can just get one."
Hearing that, the clerk face turn pale, 'how can this guy be an expert...no, more importantly i just pissed off an expert' she thought
In this city, the city lord is only in Level eight Knight rank while the head of the noble household in Eplodon City is in Level six Senior Mage or Knight at most. so Zed who is in Level three Knight Rank is considered as an expert.
When everyone think that Zed will cripple those guys, Zed decided to go to another store making everyone thought, 'What a magnanimous expert he is, Accused by a nobody but decided to let it slide not bothering to revenge'
After ten minutes, Zed got out of the store with a bunch of bags on his hand. Then Zed give one last glare at the store clerk and the arrogant looking guy and left.
The onlooking crowd was dumbfounded.
They know that Zed can easily put his clothes on his Magic Pouch given by Central Shop but he decided not to. Even a dog will understand know what it means.
It means that he want to show off to the clerk that she just lost a big amount of money.
Everyone can just smile wryly looking at Zed's revenge, which is like a little kid's revenge.
