And as the healers completely regenerated my flesh, the girl took me by surprise. 

"You're strong as hell," She smirked, reaching out her hand, allowing me to grab it and pull me up onto my feet. 

"Next time, you'll be the one admitting defeat." 

"Yeah, right," She scoffed, but as we both smiled at each other, I felt a bond grow between us. A good bond of friendship or comradery. 

Fuck this engagement. I'd rather be friends with her than anything else.

As I walked back to my room in order to take a shower, I was met by a few familiar faces who immediately bowed before my presence. 

"Young Miss, it is a pleasure to see you again." 

The three maids who represented the elements of my mother all bowed deeply before raising their heads. They hadn't changed at all, and it brought me layers of comfort in this foreign household. 

"Why are you here? Did mother send you?"
