Your version of Soma have a lot of potential because you made him wander the world with his father. But you decide to Nerf him when he return, that put me off a bit... so for now I'll just give you 2.4 stars until i see some progress...
I thought there would be something new or different since the premise was that Soma the Mc got proper training from around the world. from a young age. In the end it was still a copy and paste from the main story. Even with the Relationship with Soma and Erina did not change the story one bit.
This is basically just the original **** form the manga, there is barely and change other then few new dialogs, knows most characters and Erina teasing there is nothing new about it. Soma should be better than other people when he when on training with his dad, but there is no change with his cooking. The whole story so far just going with the original manga did, with bare minimum change.
If you are absolutely bored, read this. All things aside the writing quality and updates are pretty good on this platform. It started off great, and I thought this would be my favorite novel at the moment. But once canon started, it was just lazy, boring and repetitive. Literally no difference from the original manga and anime. Actually, Soma's talent and skills seem even worse than the canon, cause he achieved all those stuff in the anime without any of the training or expetience he had in this novel. But, in this novel, he had all those training and travelling, but still didnt improve a SINLGE bit. Romance is a little better in that it might keep you reading for a while longer, but I cannot take it anymore. Its just painful. It feels like a copy and paste.

Basically just the original story with a few personality changes, nerfed Mc, making it a **** story with nothing new added to the story at all.

Besides SomaxErina moments it's just cannon, no improvment in the story at all. Read if you want but don't expect anything amazing, just a good read..............................................
This version of Souma has a lot of potential but... Why did you decide to nerf him? Is it that... that I hate to stand out thing that MCs are now? Aside from that this novel was almost identical with the anime, with some changes. Once you're finished with this one, I'd suggest you find one more anime to write a fanfic of then write your original or something.

This fan-fic is good, but it follows the main story too much. Soma in this story is set to be a OP character with the training since he was young but he is still on the level you can compare him to the anime. If you look at it on a nutshell Soma is slightly more OP than the anime and we get that love- ******* between him and Erina, that we didn't get in both anime and manga. I appraisers this fan-fic but it will be better if the author have more of originality to the story.

This is a good fanfiction. Especially, love the relationship between Soma and Erina. However, i have dissatisfaction where you downplayed Soma's ability too much. He is supposed to be fricking destroy others as he accompanied his father on a gourmet journey. But, overall the story is good.

Much better choices of joichiro for his son. But one question, why nerf him? I mean he got mad skills and 8 years of experience over the world. He should made a name for himself by now and easily end tsukasa's 1st seat reign. Good story tho, interesting points and changes from the og but sadly, its dissapointing that soma in this story has rubbish talent. It seams like he only improved his personality around the globe and not his cooking.
Literally a novel version of the manga. If you want some minor Soma and Erina fluff you might like this but otherwise just read the original manga, it more enjoyable that way. The romantic stuff doesn't even affect the plot one bit so its pointless either way. 8 years of cooking all around the world, and you might think "hey, isn't that kinda op?", but no changes to Soma's skill has been shown, i mean atleast change the food he cooks you know. The only difference this Soma has from canon is that he's more mature and knows alot of people. Its really frustrating to read this story just knowing what happens next, even with all these comments you'd expect the author to do something but i guess its pointless at this point of the story. From a promising start to just being a copy-paste story. Not even worth a read anymore. Sadly.

Great fanfic, one of the best about shokugeki no soma.
