Capítulo 22: Extended Stay
Stepping out of the VR capsule Wyatt checked the time on his phone
[12:27 pm]
"what the....." Wyatt murmured to himself stunned that it was already morning
RUMBLE
Hearing his stomach rumble Wyatt left the room and headed downstairs for breakfast.
"Oh, look who finally decided to join us" His uncle chuckled handing him a plate of scrambled eggs and some fried sausages. Wyatt said good morning to everyone before taking the plate and joining them in the living room.
"It's not like you to wake up so late Wy, Did you stay up late trying that new game?" his mother asked
"Actually I forgot to pay attention to the time. I just got out of the game before coming down here" Wyatt told his mother before reassuring her "But don't worry I slept while in the game so I'm not tired"
Wyatts mother was surprised that he son who is always so studious actually managed to forget to check the time but after being reassured she didn't question him much and was just happy to see him enjoying himself.
"So mom when are we heading back home?" Wyatt asked his mother
"Actually Wy your aunt was wondering if you would like to stay over for a little longer?" His mother replied back while hugging his two little siblings.
"Stay longer? What do you mean" Wyatt was caught off guard by the question so he asked for more information.
"Well, the School districts announced this morning that they plan to extend the break. It turns out they still didn't fully realize the popularity of that game so they don't expect to reopen schools for at least another week" His aunt informed him
Following up on his Aunts words his mother continued "Unlike public schools, your cousins university cant be as flexible so your cousin will probably be stuck in the city for a while longer with exams since his midterms are coming up"
At this point, Wyatt was starting to piece together why they wanted him to stay a bit longer.
"With your cousin being busy your uncle could really use an extra hand around the farm in the morning so he was wondering if you wanted to stay over until things settled back down"
Wyatt thought about it for a bit and didn't find any problems with the invite. Since his uncle only needs his help during the early hours of the day he still had plenty of time to study or even play some more of the game.
"Sure, I don't mind staying over for a little longer" he told his family
"thank you little Wy!" his aunt reached up to pat him on the head again.
Wyatt spent another couple of hours hanging out with his family and helping clean up. After some time his mother and 2 siblings left the farm heading back home. Unlike Wyatt who had a clear schedule his mother still had work after the break and couldn't bear to be apart from her husband for such a long time.
After the farewell, Wyatt headed back upstairs to his cousins room but not before his uncle called out to him "Wy make sure you're awake by 8 am tomorrow!"
Nodding his head Wyatt set an alarm and sat back in the capsule

Spawning back into the familiar town Wyatt started stretching his body before coming up with a checklist of stuff he wanted to do.
First off he wanted to find a location to sell the battle axe and excess materials he collected during his hunt. After that, he planned to head back to the training centre and hand in his quests before finding his teacher.
After asking some players around him for a store to sell stuff he quickly learned that every city in a kingdom has an auction house and they all share inventory so he can just dump everything he wants to sell there.
It didn't take long for him to find the auction house and start scrolling through the catalog. Although he gave most of the collected items to Melody he still had a couple of miscellaneous claws, furs, and leathers in his inventory so he dumped them all in the auction house after matching them with the prices others sell them for.
Sadly he couldn't find the same battle axe in the auction catalog so he set it to 5 hours highest bidder.
After cleaning his inventory he headed over to the familiar training centre handing in his two finished quests. Sadly he didn't manage to find any Hogweed during his hunt so he could only hand in 2/3 of the quests.
Now that Wyatt was done with all his "chores" he headed over to his teachers chakram training field.
"Hello!" he shouted out arriving at his destination. "Hello! Teacher!" he continued shouting out for a little longer while searching the field but sadly he still found no traces of the half elf lady. Leaving the field Wyatt bumped into Sir Lavon so he decided to ask him.
"Instructor Lavon have you seen my teacher anywhere? I haven't seen her in a couple of days" he inquired
Lavon looked at the young boy in front of him curiously as he put his hand on his chin and started to think "Now that you mention it no I haven't seen Lady Saleen in a while.... hmm, I can only assume she has been given work by the centre. If you head upstairs one of the accountant workers should be able to tell you if your teacher is currently on a mission" Lavon informed the boy pointing him in the direction of the staircase.
"Thank you for the help!" with a slight bow Wyatt took the instructors advice heading upstairs.
"Hi, how can I help you?" a kind looking middle aged woman greeted him gesturing him over to her desk with a smile. It's pretty rare for young pupils to head upstairs to the office spaces so she was curious about what the boy needed.
"Actually I was wondering if you could tell me if my teacher is on a mission. I haven't been able to find her lately." he asked
"Oh! Sure, no problem whats your instructors name?
After he told the older woman lady Saleens name he watched as she started flipping through documents to find a match.
"AH! There she is!" finding a matching name she started reading. "Your guess was correct child Lady Saleen has been told to report to the Eastern blockade!"
