In a synchronized rush, the Straw Hat Pirates unleashed all their defensive techniques!
The air crackled with energy as shields and barriers appeared: The Roshomon, Millón Escudo, and other shield abilities each member possessed. Together, they formed a formidable wall around the crew.
Logan and Luffy, acting in unison, activated the rubberization of the Nika form, imbuing the shield with rubber-like properties that softened and absorbed impact. This intricate defense covered only the Straw Hat Pirates and the Terra Robots within it.
As for the three Elders? Let them fend for themselves.
Boom~~~
The Uranus' energy shockwave descended like a catastrophic tidal wave, immediately enveloping the three Elders!!
Meanwhile, for the Straw Hat Pirates~~~
The energy wave first met the Millón Escudo barrier, and the shield shuddered upon impact, fractures forming instantly across its surface. In mere seconds, the cracks multiplied, webbing through the barrier with alarming speed.
Bang!!
The Millón Escudo shattered, its remnants dissipating as the Uranus' shockwave tore through it.
Next in line was the mighty Rashomon! Holding firm for a heartbeat, the ancient gate-like barrier absorbed the energy wave, enduring three intense seconds before it, too, succumbed.
Bang!
Bang!
The Uranus' relentless energy struck the next layer of defense—an enchanted shield powered by the Clow Cards' magic. Theoretically, this shield was nearly impenetrable, only susceptible to the Sword card itself. But here, in the world of One Piece, where different laws held sway, even this formidable shield had limits.
Five seconds in, the Clow Card shield reached its breaking point and finally shattered, scattering fragments of energy into the surrounding air.
By now, the Uranus' attack was only half as potent as it had been initially, the layers of defense taking their toll. It faced one last line of defense—the final shield, rubberized by the combined power of Logan and Luffy's Nika forms.
The rubberized shield dented, bending inward under the sheer force of the Uranus' power. The energy wave bore down with crushing pressure, pressing the shield into the Straw Hat Pirates.
With a thunderous impact, the rubberized shield and the Pirates were forced to the ground, the immense weight creating a colossal crater as they were driven into the very bedrock.
The Red Line's surface, normally unyielding, was blasted into a void hundreds of meters deep, the soil and rock reduced to nothingness beneath the relentless pressure.
The Uranus' attack continued unabated, crashing down upon them for three long minutes!!!
When the dust finally began to settle~~~~
Duang!!
The Red Line, once a proud island of red stone, now plunged hundreds of meters deep, rebounded like a coiled spring under pressure, as if refusing to surrender to the void. It bounced back, the ground shifting back and forth repeatedly in ten-meter arcs, until at last, it stilled, restoring an uneasy calm.
Inside Pangea Castle, in a secluded garden beneath the domed roof, a lone figure stood silently.
Wrapped in a dark-colored smock, his form was shrouded, his features obscured from view. His tall, imposing hat cast shadows that deepened his air of mystery. Almost no one had ever seen his true appearance.
This was Im, the undisputed supreme ruler of Mariejois.
He observed a live feed on a screen before him, watching the location where the Uranus' energy had landed.
"It should be over…"
The words fell from his lips, a mere whisper. Im turned slightly, ready to depart with the certainty of a mission accomplished.
But as he turned, something caught his eye.
He stopped, his body freezing in place. His head whipped back, gaze fixating sharply on the screen.
What he saw made his eyes widen with shock.
Um!!
He leaned forward, pulling back his hood to get a clearer view. His eyes grew large with disbelief.
"What!!!"
Im's mouth fell open, his mind reeling.
On the screen, the area that should have been a massive, smoldering crater was... completely intact???
Im rubbed his eyes, attempting to make sense of what he was seeing, but the image remained unchanged.
Impossible…
That was the power of the Uranus!!!
Im had wielded the Uranus before, using its devastating force to annihilate entire islands. With a single strike, islands were reduced to ashes, torn apart, and sunk into the sea, obliterated without a trace.
Even with the Red Line's vastness and thick layers of rock and soil, this attack should have carved out a massive pit stretching hundreds of kilometers across.
But now, staring at the screen, Im could scarcely believe his eyes.
And then he noticed something else.
The ground was still moving, gently pulsing up and down, as if alive. Im's heart raced as a realization struck him.
A legend… or was it a prophecy?
When Joy Boy returns, the will of the great kingdom will rise with him.
An unstoppable force!
"Damn it!!! Among these intruders... Joy Boy has returned!"
Im's mind raced with understanding, horror settling into his core.
The one who controlled these Terra Robots could only be Joy Boy himself!
Though Im had recognized the Terra Robots immediately, knowing their origins, he had never set foot on Raftel and thus did not realize the key to activating them was the awakening of the Nika form.
In his mind, anyone who stumbled upon Raftel's ruins could potentially control the Terra Robots. Seeing them as a grave threat, he had ordered the Five Elders to serve as expendable distractions, intending to wipe out the robots with the Uranus.
But he hadn't accounted for this possibility—that Joy Boy had returned.
A tremor of fear ran through Im's heart as he stumbled back, the force of the realization weakening his resolve. His heels hit the edge of his seat, and he fell into it, shaken and vulnerable.
His eyes remained fixed on the screen, filled with a newfound dread.
The long-dreaded prophecy was coming to pass.
Mariejois~~~
"What's all this chaos outside?! What's happening?" a Celestial Dragon snapped, his face twisted in irritation as he barked at his servants.
"Sir, it's bad! We're under invasion! Explosions are happening all over!"
"Nonsense!!!" The Celestial Dragon's face contorted with rage as he swiftly drew his weapon and shot the soldier who dared to report such a preposterous thing.
Invasion? Here, in Mariejois—the seat of ultimate power, the heart of the world?
"Rubbish! How dare you interrupt my rest with such nonsense. You've spoiled my sweet dreams!"
Still seething, he strode outside, his servants and guards trailing behind him. The echoes of blasts and explosions reached his ears, each one fueling his irritation.
Then, as he looked up, he saw a shadow passing overhead, an unidentified object soaring above him.
"What is that? How dare it fly over my head! Get down here and show respect!" he shouted, indignant that anything dared cross his path.
But to his surprise, the object actually turned back, heading toward him.
The Celestial Dragon sneered, confidence flooding back. Of course. No one would be so foolish as to ignore my command.
But as the object drew closer, confusion took hold.
What is that thing?
The metallic, gleaming figure now hovered over him—a massive robot, cold and unyielding.
"Target confirmed: Celestial Dragon!"
"Eliminate."
The Terra Robot's eyes glowed as it honed in on him, and before the Celestial Dragon could react, a focused energy wave shot from the robot's eyes, hitting him squarely. His body exploded in an instant, reduced to nothing but blood and torn flesh, plastering the ground and nearby walls with the remnants of his once proud form.
"Ahhh!!" The Celestial Dragon's servants and guards screamed, horror-stricken at the sudden carnage.
In seconds, several more beams shot down, snuffing out the screams. The guards and servants met the same fate, scattered in pieces across the once-pristine grounds. In Mariejois, the Celestial Dragons were universally despised, and their retainers were equally complicit in their cruel oppression of others. For the Terra Robots, there was no question of guilt or innocence—only the cleansing of injustice.
With the outer battles complete, the Straw Hat Pirates entered the city, Logan commanding all twenty Terra Robots to engage in the "Celestial Dragon elimination plan."
Then, suddenly~~~
A message flashed across Logan's controller.
"A Zoan Devil Fruit user has been detected."
"Eliminate?"
A live image popped up on Logan's screen, showing none other than Big News Morgans, the illustrious head of the World Economy News Paper, standing amidst the chaos in Mariejois. Logan's eyebrows rose.
So, he's here too? Trust Morgans to be in the thick of things, risking his life for firsthand news.
"No," Logan replied. Letting Morgans live was intentional—Logan had no desire to conceal his invasion of Mariejois, nor would it be possible. Soon, word of this attack would spread across the seas, and Morgans' account would be the first report to reach the world.
As the Terra Robots swept through Mariejois, the Straw Hat Pirates advanced to the gates of Pangea Castle.
"I'm ready!" Luffy exclaimed, rolling up his sleeves with an eager grin.
"No need~~~" Logan said, gently placing a hand on Luffy's shoulder.
Logan smiled, explaining, "This is the end of the road for them. There's no need for us to rush in. The Terra Robots will finish cleansing Mariejois, and they'll tear down this castle as well."
"But didn't you say there was someone named Im here? Are we not going to confront him?" Robin asked, her brows furrowing in curiosity.
"Shouldn't we make sure he doesn't escape?" Nami added, gripping Logan's arm, a flash of worry on her face.
Logan shook his head with a smirk. "It's not that I'm letting him escape; there's simply no need to search for him."
He gestured to the grand castle before them. "If he's inside, the Terra Robots will force him out. Why take unnecessary risks ourselves when the robots can handle it? If, by some miracle, he doesn't come out, then we'll simply destroy him along with the castle."
Logan's voice held a confident calm as he continued, "Besides, Im is a formidable figure in this world, and there's no telling if he has some hidden trump card."
While they spoke, the Terra Robots completed their sweep of Mariejois, eliminating any last remnants of resistance.
Clang! Clang! Clang!...
The ground trembled as the Terra Robots lined up outside Pangea Castle, their heavy footsteps echoing like the drums of war. Logan observed their ranks, calculating his approach, and ultimately deployed ten of the Terra Robots to engage the castle.
"Target: Castle!"
"Execute destruction!"
As the command was given, energy fields materialized beneath the feet of the Terra Robots, lifting them into the air. With a low, ominous hum, each Terra Robot opened its mouth, emitting beams of energy much thicker than those from their eyes.
These energy beams spread out in a wide fan shape, designed for large-scale destruction rather than focused attacks.
Boom~~~
The entire castle shook as the explosive energy ripped into its walls. Flames erupted, sending ancient stones and debris flying in every direction. The grandeur of Pangea Castle, an edifice that had stood atop the Red Line for centuries, was reduced to chaos and rubble as the robots unleashed their full might.
In a matter of moments, the castle's structural integrity gave way, and with a resounding crash, Pangea Castle collapsed into ruin.
"He didn't come out?" Sanji asked, frowning as he surveyed the smoking remains.
But then, from the rubble, a Terra Robot emerged, clutching a limp figure in its grasp.
The outfit of the corpse was unmistakable—it was the very garb that Im was known to wear.
"Is it him?" Robin asked, her eyes narrowing.
Logan nodded. "Yes."
When they first entered Mariejois, Logan's Observation Haki had stretched across the city, detecting Im's location within Pangea Castle. From a living presence to a lifeless corpse, Logan's Haki had tracked it all in chilling detail.
Im had chosen not to escape. He had known that his fate was sealed.
The Uranus had gone into its cooldown period, leaving Im without his ultimate weapon. Faced with the full force of the Straw Hat Pirates, bolstered by twenty Terra Robots, even he understood that resistance was futile.
A being who had lived so long, seen so much, seemed to have accepted his end.
Still, Logan noted with disappointment that Im had destroyed the Uranus before his death, ensuring that no one else would wield its power.
"Ah, well… I suppose it's a shame," Logan mused. "It would've been interesting to unleash a 'nuclear flattening' just once."
"So, what do we do with him?" Usopp asked, glancing warily at Im's lifeless body.
Logan shrugged. "What else? Burn it, just to be sure."
"Got it."
Usopp signaled to the Terra Robot, which lifted Im's body into the air.
With precise aim, Usopp fired a flaming star, igniting Im's remains in an intense blaze. In moments, the ancient tyrant was reduced to nothing but ashes, scattered to the winds.
And with that, the era of the Celestial Dragons and Im had come to a fiery end, a new dawn rising as the Straw Hat Pirates stood victorious amidst the ruins of Mariejois.
