Mariejois~~~
"What's all this chaos outside?! What's happening?" a Celestial Dragon snapped, his face twisted in irritation as he barked at his servants.
"Sir, it's bad! We're under invasion! Explosions are happening all over!"
"Nonsense!!!" The Celestial Dragon's face contorted with rage as he swiftly drew his weapon and shot the soldier who dared to report such a preposterous thing.
Invasion? Here, in Mariejois—the seat of ultimate power, the heart of the world?
"Rubbish! How dare you interrupt my rest with such nonsense. You've spoiled my sweet dreams!"
Still seething, he strode outside, his servants and guards trailing behind him. The echoes of blasts and explosions reached his ears, each one fueling his irritation.
Then, as he looked up, he saw a shadow passing overhead, an unidentified object soaring above him.
"What is that? How dare it fly over my head! Get down here and show respect!" he shouted, indignant that anything dared cross his path.
But to his surprise, the object actually turned back, heading toward him.
The Celestial Dragon sneered, confidence flooding back. Of course. No one would be so foolish as to ignore my command.
But as the object drew closer, confusion took hold.
What is that thing?
The metallic, gleaming figure now hovered over him—a massive robot, cold and unyielding.
"Target confirmed: Celestial Dragon!"
"Eliminate."
The Terra Robot's eyes glowed as it honed in on him, and before the Celestial Dragon could react, a focused energy wave shot from the robot's eyes, hitting him squarely. His body exploded in an instant, reduced to nothing but blood and torn flesh, plastering the ground and nearby walls with the remnants of his once proud form.
"Ahhh!!" The Celestial Dragon's servants and guards screamed, horror-stricken at the sudden carnage.
In seconds, several more beams shot down, snuffing out the screams. The guards and servants met the same fate, scattered in pieces across the once-pristine grounds. In Mariejois, the Celestial Dragons were universally despised, and their retainers were equally complicit in their cruel oppression of others. For the Terra Robots, there was no question of guilt or innocence—only the cleansing of injustice.
With the outer battles complete, the Straw Hat Pirates entered the city, Logan commanding all twenty Terra Robots to engage in the "Celestial Dragon elimination plan."
Then, suddenly~~~
A message flashed across Logan's controller.
"A Zoan Devil Fruit user has been detected."
"Eliminate?"
A live image popped up on Logan's screen, showing none other than Big News Morgans, the illustrious head of the World Economy News Paper, standing amidst the chaos in Mariejois. Logan's eyebrows rose.
So, he's here too? Trust Morgans to be in the thick of things, risking his life for firsthand news.
"No," Logan replied. Letting Morgans live was intentional—Logan had no desire to conceal his invasion of Mariejois, nor would it be possible. Soon, word of this attack would spread across the seas, and Morgans' account would be the first report to reach the world.
As the Terra Robots swept through Mariejois, the Straw Hat Pirates advanced to the gates of Pangea Castle.
"I'm ready!" Luffy exclaimed, rolling up his sleeves with an eager grin.
"No need~~~" Logan said, gently placing a hand on Luffy's shoulder.
Logan smiled, explaining, "This is the end of the road for them. There's no need for us to rush in. The Terra Robots will finish cleansing Mariejois, and they'll tear down this castle as well."
"But didn't you say there was someone named Im here? Are we not going to confront him?" Robin asked, her brows furrowing in curiosity.
"Shouldn't we make sure he doesn't escape?" Nami added, gripping Logan's arm, a flash of worry on her face.
Logan shook his head with a smirk. "It's not that I'm letting him escape; there's simply no need to search for him."
He gestured to the grand castle before them. "If he's inside, the Terra Robots will force him out. Why take unnecessary risks ourselves when the robots can handle it? If, by some miracle, he doesn't come out, then we'll simply destroy him along with the castle."
Logan's voice held a confident calm as he continued, "Besides, Im is a formidable figure in this world, and there's no telling if he has some hidden trump card."
While they spoke, the Terra Robots completed their sweep of Mariejois, eliminating any last remnants of resistance.
Clang! Clang! Clang!...
The ground trembled as the Terra Robots lined up outside Pangea Castle, their heavy footsteps echoing like the drums of war. Logan observed their ranks, calculating his approach, and ultimately deployed ten of the Terra Robots to engage the castle.
"Target: Castle!"
"Execute destruction!"
As the command was given, energy fields materialized beneath the feet of the Terra Robots, lifting them into the air. With a low, ominous hum, each Terra Robot opened its mouth, emitting beams of energy much thicker than those from their eyes.
These energy beams spread out in a wide fan shape, designed for large-scale destruction rather than focused attacks.
Boom~~~
The entire castle shook as the explosive energy ripped into its walls. Flames erupted, sending ancient stones and debris flying in every direction. The grandeur of Pangea Castle, an edifice that had stood atop the Red Line for centuries, was reduced to chaos and rubble as the robots unleashed their full might.
In a matter of moments, the castle's structural integrity gave way, and with a resounding crash, Pangea Castle collapsed into ruin.
"He didn't come out?" Sanji asked, frowning as he surveyed the smoking remains.
But then, from the rubble, a Terra Robot emerged, clutching a limp figure in its grasp.
The outfit of the corpse was unmistakable—it was the very garb that Im was known to wear.
"Is it him?" Robin asked, her eyes narrowing.
Logan nodded. "Yes."
When they first entered Mariejois, Logan's Observation Haki had stretched across the city, detecting Im's location within Pangea Castle. From a living presence to a lifeless corpse, Logan's Haki had tracked it all in chilling detail.
Im had chosen not to escape. He had known that his fate was sealed.
The Uranus had gone into its cooldown period, leaving Im without his ultimate weapon. Faced with the full force of the Straw Hat Pirates, bolstered by twenty Terra Robots, even he understood that resistance was futile.
A being who had lived so long, seen so much, seemed to have accepted his end.
Still, Logan noted with disappointment that Im had destroyed the Uranus before his death, ensuring that no one else would wield its power.
"Ah, well… I suppose it's a shame," Logan mused. "It would've been interesting to unleash a 'nuclear flattening' just once."
"So, what do we do with him?" Usopp asked, glancing warily at Im's lifeless body.
Logan shrugged. "What else? Burn it, just to be sure."
"Got it."
Usopp signaled to the Terra Robot, which lifted Im's body into the air.
With precise aim, Usopp fired a flaming star, igniting Im's remains in an intense blaze. In moments, the ancient tyrant was reduced to nothing but ashes, scattered to the winds.
And with that, the era of the Celestial Dragons and Im had come to a fiery end, a new dawn rising as the Straw Hat Pirates stood victorious amidst the ruins of Mariejois.
"Extra! Extra!"
"Shocking news from Mariejois! A monumental event has shaken the world!"
"Mariejois, the sacred headquarters of the world government, has been destroyed!"
"The fate of the Celestial Dragons is unknown, the Five Elders are missing, and no one knows what catastrophe has struck the Holy Land!"
"Marine Headquarters has dispatched investigators, but the full extent of the situation remains unclear!"
Newspapers carrying the shocking headline flooded the world, drifting into towns, ports, and marketplaces like snow. People's initial reaction was disbelief—surely this was a joke?
But as they looked closer and saw the unmistakable seal of the World Economy News Paper, shock rippled through every reader.
The World Economy News Paper...
Everyone knew that this was Big News Morgans' agency.
Morgans was famous for his unflinching pursuit of truth. While many might be prone to gossip or sensationalism, Morgans' reports were revered as fact by the entire world. If Morgans declared that Mariejois had been destroyed, then it was a certainty in the minds of nearly everyone.
Across the New World~~~
Whitebeard Pirates
"Dad, there's no way this is true!!!" one crewmember cried out, gripping the paper tightly.
"This has to be false! Mariejois… the very heart of the world government, taken down just like that? Impossible!"
"Yeah, the world government has stood for 800 years! Not even if the Four Emperors joined forces could they conquer the Holy Land!"
"Besides, where were the Marines? If anyone dared to attack Mariejois, the entire Marine force would be mobilized against them."
"It's fake. Has to be!"
But Whitebeard, listening to his crewmates' frantic disbelief, remained silent, his gaze fixed on the newspaper.
Mariejois… destroyed…
He had dealt with Morgans before. Whitebeard knew the man's standards. Morgans wouldn't risk his reputation with such a claim unless it was true. Mariejois still standing while Morgans made this report was unthinkable—no, he wouldn't gamble with his credibility.
Finally, Whitebeard exhaled slowly, a shadow crossing his eyes. "It seems… Mariejois really has fallen. A storm is brewing across the seas… and it'll reach us all soon enough."
Tottoland Sea~~~
The Whole Cake Chateau
"Have I drunk too much?" Charlotte Linlin muttered, squinting at the newspaper in her hand. She rubbed her eyes and then reread the headline, her brow creasing as she tried to absorb the unbelievable news.
Then, anger surged through her, and she threw down the paper. "What kind of trick is this, Morgans?! Has he gone mad? Publishing something as ridiculous as this!"
Kaido, who was seated nearby, picked up the paper she'd discarded and skimmed the headline.
Kaido's territory had once been Wano, but after the Straw Hat Pirates had overthrown him, he and his defeated crew had drifted across the sea. Eventually, he crossed paths with Charlotte Linlin.
To his surprise, Linlin had shared a similar fate, suffering a brutal defeat at the hands of the Straw Hats. Perhaps out of some lingering nostalgia, or simply understanding the strength of their common enemy, Linlin had begrudgingly allowed Kaido and his crew to take refuge on one of her islands.
As Kaido read the news, he nearly spat out his drink.
"Mariejois… destroyed? And the Five Elders are missing? Bah, this is nothing but Morgans' nonsense! You were right, Linlin," Kaido grumbled, taking another long drink, his face contorting with disbelief.
But then, Linlin's Den Den Mushi began to ring. She picked it up, her expression shifting as Morgans' voice crackled through the receiver.
"What? You're telling me you saw it happen with your own eyes?" she repeated, stunned.
"Linlin, you've known me long enough. You know I don't lie about the news. If I were to exaggerate about something like this, it would ruin me, and I gain nothing from falsehoods!" Morgans insisted, his voice unwavering.
Linlin fell silent, the reality settling in her mind. Morgans doesn't joke about things like this…
Taking a deep breath, she hung up the Den Den Mushi, her expression transforming. Her eyes gleamed with excitement as a sudden, brilliant thought crossed her mind.
"Mamamama… Kaido! This is our chance!"
Kaido raised an eyebrow as she grabbed his arm, her fingers digging in with excitement. "Now, listen. Mariejois… gone. The Marines… without a true leader. This is the era of pirates!"
"Are you actually buying this?" Kaido scoffed. "You really think Mariejois was destroyed?"
"This isn't a matter of belief—it's fact!" Linlin shot back, her voice brimming with conviction. She stepped toward the window, staring out at the endless horizon, her body trembling with anticipation. "With Mariejois gone, the Marines have lost their foundation. This is our time to rule!"
Linlin's voice was filled with fervor as she gripped Kaido's hand, her eyes blazing with a vision of conquest. "What Four Emperors? What Pirate King? I want to become the master of this world, just like Captain Rocks was before!"
Kaido's skeptical expression softened as he set his drink down, eyeing her with newfound clarity.
"In that case… the Marines will have no more funding. Once their resources dry up, an organization that big will crumble fast," he muttered, a glint of excitement breaking through his usual stoic demeanor.
"Exactly! Kaido, with our alliance, there's no force on the sea that could stand against us. It's time to take what we deserve!" Linlin declared, her laughter ringing out with dark glee. "Mamamamama!"
Linlin's ambitions had evolved. Her gaze was no longer confined to the seas—she now yearned to seize the power that the Holy Land once held.
But she failed to notice Kaido's eyes narrowing slightly, a flicker of sarcasm crossing his face.
With a grin, Kaido laughed along. "You're right, old woman! With me at your side, the world will fall into your hands!! Worororo!"
"Mamamama! To our victory!"
"Cheers!"
The two titans of the sea clinked glasses, but the spark of rivalry danced between them, each one silently eyeing the throne that Mariejois had left vacant.
