Capítulo 9: About to be rejected by a Human (2)

After the close of work on that day, I decide to take the ice cream route again.
Well, not because I want to see him or so I think.
I really hate this mate pull.
When I get to the front of the building, I stop for a moment and look inside.
The fiery part of me decides to go in for clout.
As soon as I enter, I receive the same reaction as last time.
Talk about a feeling of Deja Vu I mutter to myself as I head to the counter.
The lady at the counter is the same as last time. Good thing I overheard her name.
"Hi Thelma. I couldn't have my ice cream the other day so I came for it again."
"Good afternoon." She answered me while bowing
"Why will you bow to me?" I ask her confused and looking around, everyone has become silent and was watching us
The air became really weird and I became uncomfortable.
"You are a property of the Alpha so I have to bow." Thelma explains, this time looking at me but not straight to the eyes
"I am NOBODY'S property" I clarify for her while extending the Nobody.
At that point, my appetite has gone and even the strawberry flavored ice cream has lost its pink appeal.
Angrily, I stomp out of there.
Just as I step out, I collide into someone.
What's with me and colliding into people these days? I mentally facepalm.
I look up and it's a woman.
She's pretty, really beautiful but she is obviously a werewolf.
She apologizes first but to my surprise not sincerely.
"Sorry I wasn't looking. Hope you didn't get hurt because I'm obviously stronger than an average human."
"What?" My mood kind of improved after hearing her sorry at first but hearing the last part of her apology gave me a rethink.
I was already in a bad mood.
"I said human? Are you hurt? I'm a werewolf so you could have died even from a push from me." She continues with a demeaning smile
My anger from before is refueled
"Who the fuck are you to talk to me like that?..." I ask her while taking a step towards her
"I don't even know who a twerp like you is. Do you want to know something?" I ask her, my anger slowly reaching boiling point
"I don't want to know anything a human tells me." She replies
"I'll still tell you anyway. Me not knowing who you are means you're a nobody in this community. At least everybody knows me as a human in a werewolf community. Who the fuck might you be?" I ask her finally not so politely
And shoulder bumped her as I walk away.
She speaks up behind me but I don't stop walking anyway.
"I don't know how a weakling like you can be our Alpha's Mate." She yells at me from behind..
So that was what it is about. That I'm his mate?
It's not even like I chose to be his mate.
This is so fucking frustrating.
I sigh and continue the walk home.
