Capítulo 10: 10. A life without him? (part 1).
Ascimos POV:
"okay Ascimos lets go"
Uncle Withward said to me while holding a fishing rod in his hands.
"Going already? okay, just give me a sec"
I said scrutinizing through my room looking for the fishing rod that mom gave me
"I know I saw it here, some where"
One may be wondering what I am doing here looking for a fishing rod.
Well ,the party's still going on and everybody's doing what people usually do in a party , living life to the fullest and partying until they get tired, meanwhile my mom went to her room maybe to take a breather or two,as for my aunt,she drank alot of booze so she's probably asleep one place or the other, while Subaru,well to say the truth I don't know where he is.
Mom, Aunt and Subaru where no longer there so I didn't see any reason to be there either, Uncle Withward seemed he was going to do a house chore,and by coincidence it involved fishing,and I saw this as a good opportunity to practice my fishing skills and decided to follow him.
"found it!!!"
I said holding the fishing rod in victory.
"good,now let's go,we've already wasted much time as it is"
Uncle Withward said pulling out his pocket watch to check the time
"yeah,yeah I know"
I said holding the fishing rod in my hands.
Uncle Withward looked at me,and then said
"are you sure you want to go looking like that?"
"hmmm"
I said looking at myself to see if I may have done something wrong
"I don't think so, what's the problem is my hair messed up?"
I asked checking my hair with my hand
"please tell me you bathed before coming to the party?"
he said using his hand to support his head
"maybe?"
I said looking away from him while smirking 😏
"oh my,well then I guess it can't be helped.I am bathing you"
"okay, wait what?"
few minutes later:
"perfect,good as new"
Uncle Withward said looking at me and dusting his hand like as if he just finished up a school project
"I will appreciate it, if you don't treat me as a toy"
I said pouting my face
"you are going out of the mansion,and inorder to go to the fish pond we have to pass the town's folk so you have to look your best"
he said turning to leave
"I know,and pls wait up"
I said rushing after him but then
I passed a door that was slightly opened and something caught my attention,
it was Subaru and aunt having a conversation with each other, seeing as it seemed important
I decided to spy on them a little, besides a little spying won't hurt anyone,will it?:
"I know this is sudden,but you are starting next week"
Aunt Rachel said facing the window but in truth she was talking to Subaru,it seems she didn't want to look at him in the face,or rather she couldn't
" but it's still too soon,I mean..."
Subaru said with the sound of his voice becoming smaller
"shouldn't,I be starting next year,like everyone else?"
Subaru said looking at his mother back
"well,you see, they started holding the procedures,and if you can pass it you get to enter a bit early than everybody else"
she said still looking at the window,with the twilight (dusk) of the sun,
"one year isn't something I would call a 'bit early' "
Subaru said this time closing his eyes and his voice becoming louder,it seemed his temper got the better of him.
Immediately Aunt Rachel swiftly turned to look at Subaru knelt down and held him by the shoulder,and looked him straight in the eyes,
she seemed to be crying?
"and how do you think I feel?, I am your mother,but yet I have to let you go so you can carve out your own part,please know that everything I do is for your own good"
she said hugging him tightly.
It seemed that seeing his mother cry did the trick because he seemed to have calmed down
"okay,I will go,but on one condition"
he said looking at the floor
Uncle Withward:
Ascimos,
"just tell me what it is"
Aunt Rachel said
Uncle Withward:
Ascimos,
"I, I , I"
Subaru said stuttering with each word and each passing second
Uncle Withward:
Ascimos!!!!
and at that last call I received a heavy knock on my head,and I turned to see Uncle Withward with an angry face
"I told you we don't have time,come on let's go"
he said immediately turning to leave
"a little sorry would be nice ,and next time don't hit me that hard,geez"
I said leaving Subaru and Aunt's discussion behind to go fishing.
In the room in which Aunt Rachel and Subaru where talking:
"I,want to be able to visit you guys once everyday"
Subaru said
"a year"
Aunt Rachel replied trying to bargain
"a week"
Subaru said with a lot more confidence
|....hehehe,he took the bait...|
aunt Rachel thought to herself and replied saying
"6 months"
"a month"
Subaru said folding his hand
"3 months"
she said
"a month"
Subaru said
"three month"
"a month"
"three month"
"a month"
"Three month"
"a month"
"a month"
"three months"
Subaru said not realizing he made himself lost
"yes three months it is"
Aunt Rachel said standing up in victory
Subaru looked at her in disbelief, shocked upon realization of the outcome, pouting his face he said
"alright fine"
"okay,you can go "
Aunt Rachel said
but he still didn't leave even though he was told he could
"what is it? I said you can go or is anything wrong?"
"no it's not that...hmmm,can I sleep in your room tomorrow night"
Subaru said using his foot to rub the floor
"hahaha, alright then"
she said
"oh and pls don't tell Ascimos"
Subaru said looking at his mother with suspicious eyes
"don't worry my lips are sealed"
she said pretending to be zipping up her mouth with her fingers.
Ascimos POV
In the town of Belleprochai as the folks people called it, me and Uncle Withward could be seen walking together, both of us holding a fishing rod:
"so are we there yet?"
I said picking the buger from my nose
"no,we are not for the 50th time,I'll tell you when we get there"
Uncle Withward said seeming to be at his limit
"uh? that's no fun"
I said showing my disappointment by letting out a depressing sigh
"woah, that's so cool"
I said pointing out to a man breathing out fire on the streets,he seemed to have gathered a large crowd
"pls can we go take a closer look?pls can we?"
I said looking at Uncle Withward, making puppy eye's.
He turned to look at the man breathing out fire and then he said
"that?, what's so special about that,any fire magician can do it"
he said looking at me like as if he just said the most obvious thing in the world,but then he immediately closed his mouth
"wait,what did you just say?"
I said getting closer to him, looking him straight in the eyes,but he immediately averted his eyes from mine ,not backing down I got closer to him and tried to make a very frightening expression inorder to show my resolve,I said tried because I failed and I just ended up making a face that resembled someone who broke his back,but nevertheless it gave a very satisfying outcome
"ok,i'll tell you,guess there's no point hiding,but ,I'll tell you everything when we've gotten to the fishing pond"
he said stepping on the ground with force to prove his point
"okay then,what are we waiting for? let's go!!!"
I said running forward not stopping for anything
|...wow,I really can't believe there's magic in this world...|
Uncle Withward:
Slowly stretching out my hand into the distance Ascimos had ran to
"I haven't even told you were the fish pond is ,wait up!!!"
I said as i ran after him,in hopes of getting to him before he made a wrong turn
