Chapter 70

"So you say that Officer Nan told you to take the convict and run away?" A detective investigated the driver policeman, Zhigang Shau, who vehemently nodded and agreed with the statement.

"Care to tell me why you didn't call for backup?" The detective asked next to which Zhigang replied, "For some reason, the communications weren't working. No radio signal, no cell signal, nothing."

The detective sighed because he couldn't mention the truth that he knew Zhigang was lying and there was no way that was the case because he was aware of the truth. However, with the conversation being observed by internal affairs, there was no way he was going to mention his misdeeds. He had no choice but to record this statement and end the issue with it.
