Capítulo 31: The quest to get stronger part 2

A red ant and a yellow ant the size of a house stood on the volcano as an endless amount of ants swarmed out of the tunnels. On the horizon, an army of pangolins rushed to meet them, in the lead was a pangolin whose scales looked like diamonds. It was five times bigger than the super ant.

The super ants went to engage the super pangolin and they fought at quite a distance leaving room for their armies to wage war.

In the desolate land devoid of trees or grass, where only shrubs dotted the barren landscape, a battle unfolded. Millions of ants, driven by instinct and the urge to protect their territory, clashed with thousands of pangolins, their armored bodies a formidable force to be reckoned with.

The sun hung high in the sky, casting a harsh, unrelenting glare upon the battlefield. The ground trembled as the two opposing forces closed in on each other, an ominous tension filling the air.

The ants, innumerable in their multitude, formed a living carpet that seemed to stretch to the horizon. Their organized chaos was a sight to behold as they surged forward, waves of red, green, and yellow, their armored carapaces glinting in the harsh sunlight.

Facing this relentless tide, the pangolins, with their armor-plated bodies, were a stark contrast. They moved with surprising agility, their powerful claws digging into the barren earth as they formed a defensive line. Their scales, like shields, offered them protection against the relentless onslaught of the ants.

The battle began with a cacophony of noise and fury. The ants, swarmed the pangolins, biting wherever they could find purchase on the armored creatures. The pangolins responded with swift and powerful strikes of their claws, their tails lashing out to knock back any ants that dared approach.

Amid the chaos, the ground seemed to writhe and shift as pangolins rolled into their defensive posture, curling into impenetrable balls. The ants could do little against this living fortress, their mandibles unable to pierce the pangolins' protective armor.

But the ants were relentless. They surged and surged, their sheer numbers overwhelming the defensive capabilities of the pangolins. Some pangolins, their armor eventually breached, fell to the ground, still fighting valiantly with their sharp claws.

The desolate land bore witness to a relentless battle of attrition. The harsh sunlight beat down upon the combatants, and the air was thick with the scent of battle, a blend of ant pheromones and the metallic tang of blood.

As the battle raged on, it became clear that while the pangolins were formidable opponents, the ants' sheer numerical superiority was wearing them down. Gradually, the tide began to turn, and the ants pushed forward, driving the pangolins back.

"So the ants were still this much, looks like only one super beast was present yesterday." Bian watched all this unfolding from afar.

The pangolins retreated with some ant corpses While the ants went to where the giants were facing off. Bian ran to the battlefield, corpses stained the ground and blood flowed making it a blood swamp.

He summoned the minotaur and angel, giving them permission to eat all the sacred-blood creatures, starting from the ants. As he moved on ahead he saw the battle between the super pangolin and the super ants.

The ants were suppressed by the pangolin, it seemed determined to kill them. The other ants swarmed around them could do nothing but get squashed under this humongous battle.

Though the temptation of acquiring multiple super creature beast souls was alluring, Bian remained cautious. What if all the super creatures teamed up against him? He couldn't allow greed to cloud his judgment, for his survival remained his top priority. Not to mention they were so fast he wouldn't even know how he died.

Three days after he left the ant nest, He saw a swarm of locust, flying in that direction. They looked like a black cloud as they made their way to the battlefield.

Bian decided to visit the dark swamps, having super armor he no longer needed to worry so much about protection.

The journey took him seventeen days, Bian realised he would need a better mount. His mutant iron-horned goat was too slow. He gained six more geno points from the pangolin bringing his tally up to 49.

Just as he was about arriving, he heard a cracking sound in his sea of soul. The manticore had finished evolving.

[Berserk sacred-blood feral manticore: pet.]

"Should I make my super armor berserk?" Bian calculated carefully. "The dark swamps shouldn't house any super creatures."

Bian fed the black crystal to the crystal ant in his sea of soul. He summoned the berserk feral manticore, an all black lion with a ferocious barbed stinger and powerful wings appeared in front of him. The manticore seemed to be bursting with strength.

Now without armor, Bian sent the manticore to hunt for sacred-blood creatures in the swamp. It took off with astonishing speed and zoomed into the swamps ahead.

[Sacred-blood evil millipede killed. No beast soul gained. Eat the evil millipede to gain 0 to 10 sacred geno points.]

A minute later the manticore came back with a dissolving giant millipede. By the time it dropped the millipede it had dissolved into liquid waste.

"Ok, let's try this again. Hunt for sacred-blood creatures without using your stinger unless it's necessary." Ordinary sacred-blood creatures couldn't with withstand the poison of the berserk sacred-blood manticore.

Bian set up camp, it was time to start a cookathon again.

[Sacred-blood creature winding-poisonous beast killed. No beast soul gained. Eat the winding-poisonous beast to gain 0 to 10 sacred geno points. ]

The manticore soon returned with a long snake in its maw. Bian sent the manticore off and dressed the snake before cooking it.

He ignored the notifications as the manticore brought more and more sacred-blood beasts. He kept the snake, a fish and a hornet for himself while feeding the rest to the minotaur and little angel.

After three weeks of continuous eating, Bian checked on his status.

[Geno points gained: 100 ordinary geno points; 100 primitive geno points; 100 mutant geno points; 91 sacred geno points.]

The smallest creature brought by the manticore were the hornet and fish, they kept getting bigger and bigger. Bian took notice of his pets, they hadn't slowed down their rate of consumption.

On average in a day, the manticore would bring back 30 sacred-blood creatures. Bian would pick out five of the smallest and give the remainder to the pets. The minotaur ate more than the little angel, while she would bite and swallow, the minotaur didn't even bite down.

Like a giant cavity it forced the creatures down its throat before picking up others. After this three weeks the rate of sacred-blood creatures they were getting declined. The manticore could be gone for hours before returning with a large sacred-blood creature.

"Well it's time to leave anyway" It would seem as though they had hunted clean all the sacred-blood creatures in a good chunk of the dark swamps.

Bian summoned a sacred-blood komodo mount, it was one of the few beast souls he had acquired. The manticore came back with a golden frog, Bian fed it to the minotaur as the angel looked on displeased.

The minotaur ate a frog ten times its size in a minute, it was amazing. He took back the pets and rode on towards the jade mountains, estimated time of arrival eight days.

After a week of travel he heard a cracking sound in his sea of soul. The crystal ant now looked like a crystal shaped as an ant, it was beautiful. He didn't feed the crystal to any other creature for now.

He arrived at the jade mountains a day later, he tightened the bag on his back, as he wondered around the mountains. They were devoid of any life, he eventually saw a creature which was a big as a mammo beast.

Just listening to its hoofbeats Bian could feel the earth was shaking. Bian followed the creature from a distance.
