Capítulo 61: Chapter 61: Rebilding Laughing Lion

The forest was dense and eerily quiet, the only sound that could be heard was the sounds of the occasional cry of some beast letting out a death cry and the heavy breathing of the men, they were all on edge from all the danger that surrounded them at all times.

Aiden led the group as they made their way thru the dark forest, suddenly a vine riped thru the forest trying to grab Ellaria, to which Aiden quickly moved and grabbed the spiked vine.

"What the hell is that?" Oberyn shouted as he prepared his spear to defend his beloved Paramour.

With a yank, Aiden pulled on the vine and a massive rumble was felt in the ground along with a inhuman scream. A large vicious looking plant with multiple vines came crashing thru the forest, trees were splintered as it sailed towards the group.

Aiden knew he couldn't let such a creature get close to the others, otherwise it could kill several people with its spiked vines. So Aiden used his heat vision to cut the large plant that looked like a mixture of a pitcher plant and a venus fly trap. As Aiden's heat vision cut thru the plant with ease, a half digested corpse fell from what could only be the belly of the creature.

The ground sizzled and smoked as the digestive fluid poured out all over the ground showing how acidic it was.

"This place is damned, how the hell did you do that lad?" Gerion asked as he studied the scene in shock.

He had seen many things in his life, but nothing like what this land and Aiden had displayed.

"Keep on your toes everyone, I doubt the trek back to the beach will be smooth, especially if we run into whatever that thing is." Aiden stated as he studied the creature that came out of the belly of the carnivorous plant.

It was a large humanoid creature with hair all over its body, or at least all over the top portion since its bottom section had been turned to bone.

"I recognize that thing, its a Ape-man, but I thought that they were extinct." Gerion stated as he studied the corpse of the creature from a distance.

"Let's go, we can discuss what we see later. If they are of the ape family, then they travel in packs and I'd rather not have to kill indiscriminately." Aiden said as he pulled a sample from both creatures for Kelex to study.

However just then a roar came from from above the canopy, "Fuck, its those dragons that attacked our ship!" Oberyn shouted as a large lizard flew down thru the canopy.

Looking at the creature, Aiden could see it was actually a wyvern, "That's not a dragon, it's a wyvern." Aiden stated as he grabbed the jaws of the creature, stopping it in its tracks.

This surprised the group, but they had started to get accustomed to Aiden's capabilities by now. They watched as Aiden twisted the large wyverns head, a large pop resounded thru the air as the beasts neck snapped.

"What's the difference? Looks like a dragon to me." Ellaria asked fearfully.

"If it was a dragon it would've used fire breath to attack first, dragons like to cook their meals before they consume it. They don't like to eat things raw." Aiden explained as he heard more on the way. "Hurry forward, we got several more incoming."

Without a second thought the group rushed forward as Aiden began to defend them from the wyverns attack, they were close to the beach so they quickly made their way forward. Aiden's battle caused a large commotion, but this was due to Aiden quickly putting an end to the creatures. Powerful shockwaves blasted from behind the group as they ran, this caused many to stumble as they ran.

Each time Aiden killed a wyvern, he put the body away, he knew the meat within was highly nutritious, so he planned to give the corpses to their allies. It would be highly beneficial to the several houses.

Once the wyverns saw that many of their companions were being killed they quickly retreated, although they were beasts they did have a bit of intelligence. Seeing that the wyverns left Aiden rejoined the group quickly to ensure their safety.

Once Aiden and company arrived on the shoreline, he quickly got to work. Using his x-ray vision he scanned the dark waters to get a good picture of what all was down below. He saw several shipwrecks at different depths of the sea.

Seeing that the waters were safe Aiden thought about how he would fix the broken ship, the Laughing Lion was in pretty rough shape, but the keel was still fine so it was still salvageable. So Aiden decided to use his creation abilities to remake the Laughing Lion into something more modern.

The Laughing Lion was basically a Cog, a large single mast ship, which were very versitile. Due to the flat bottom, the ship could be beached and unloaded or loaded at low tide without risk of damaging the ship, which was perfect for exploration or trade due to not all places had docks or ports that could be used.

Aiden thought for a moment and decided on turning it from a Cog type ship into a Fluyt style. Fluyts had multiple decks and two to three square rigged masts, they were primarily merchant vessals but can easily be used in naval combat due to its speed and maneuverability. It wasn't a war ship in any way, but could hold its own in a battle against pirates.

The reason Aiden decided to go with this type of boat was it could carry a whole lot of cargo, at least four to five times what the current ships could hold, and was easy to sail since it didn't require many crew to sail the ship. Most large ships in this era needed between 40 to 50 crew members, a Fluyt only needed about 20 to 25.

These types of vessels could not only sail in open oceans, it could also sail into rivers and much shallower waters than ships of similar size due to its shape. Rather than being rounded it was pear shaped.

As Aiden pondered how he was going to handle the reconstruction material, Gerion spoke up curiously, "What? Where is your ship? How the hell did you get to this god forsaken place?"

Oberyn laughed at Gerion's questions, especially after seeing the looks of confusion on all their faces as the others had also just now realized that no other ship was around the area.

"My nephew doesn't need a ship. Just watch, you'll love it." Oberyn answered as he wondered what Aiden was going to do.

"Alright, give me a moment. I need to get some materials." Aiden said as he began to draw out a large square in the sand.

"If you all could please exit the area that I have drawn out, I would appreciate it. It is so that you aren't hit by any flying materials." He stated then began to walk out into the water to go get material from the other shipwrecks that were around.

Everyone left out of the area he designated and stood around, curious of what he was talking about. They watched as Aiden went into the dark water and disappeared.

Aiden went to each shipwreck and took parts from them such as masts, sails, and chunks of wood. He also went ahead and began putting the treasures from each of these shipwrecks into his storage space.

He began throwing these pieces out of the water, which shocked all those on land. They witnessed huge masts and large sections of wood fly out of the water and land perfectly on the beach.

"What kind of monster is your nephew?" Gerion asked incredulously.

"The good kind, as long as you don't piss him off that is." Oberyn said with a smirk as he puffed out his chest in pride.

The men all gulped at his words, they all made a mental note to not get on Aiden's bad side no matter what.

Aiden used his speed and vision to move around the sea floor gathering treasures as he went. He figured the Targaryens and their allies could use the gold, silver, copper, and bronze. He ran into several large creatures, but they instantly ran from him, as he headed further west he reached a bubbling sea.

There were several underwater volcanic vents on the sea floor, and this is where he had hit the motherload of shipwrecks.

'This must be the Smoking Sea. No wonder so many ships sank trying to enter Valyria. Once they entered it the ships would lose their buoyancy due to the gases released in the waters, they would sink from all the bubbles in the water, coupled with the high temperatures which would corrode the wood.' Aiden thought as he began to make his way to several large ships.

Then something caught his eyes as he was emptying out several shipwrecks of their treasures, a large ship that was barely a ship anymore had several very valuable treasures. Valyrian steel weapons, chests, shields, and armors.

'This must be Tommen II Lannister's ship that sailed to Valyria all those years ago. He sailed to Valyria to pillage anything left after the Doom. He must've made it there but due to his ship staying in the heated waters so long, the hull deteriorated, then when they added all the weight from the treasures, it attempted to leave but it was too much for the ship and it sank.' Aiden thought as he studied the damage.

He began to place all the treasures within his storage space inside the command key, the Valyrian steel chests were full of books and various scrolls. Aiden was amazed that the chests didn't fill with water, but after further investigation he noticed the magical runes that were written on the chests.

'Wow, the Valyrians were more magically inclined than I thought. Those chests are not only water tight, but are temperature regulated. They must've primarily used them to ship and store precious goods like ice or foods that would spoil over large journeys, it will maintain whatever is put inside it.'

He placed them in his storage as well, knowing they would be very handy for many people. He got his hands on several chests and dozens of swords and other Valyrian steel products.

Just as he was about to fly back, he saw a beautiful greatsword a distance away from the wreckage, the hilt was made of gold and had the head of a roaring lion on the pommel. The grip was red with a golden ring in the middle of the handle, there were intricate designs on the guard of the sword, which was also made of gold.

'Brightroar! I bet this was Gerion's main purpose of his trip, I have heard the Lannisters have been looking for this sword since it was lost by Tommen. Even now Tywin has been looking for a replacement but has been unable to find one. The question is now, should I give this beautiful sword to Gerion or not? Although the Lannisters are my enemy, it is really only Tywin. I can tell Gerion is a good man, he is nothing like Tywin. Perhaps we can use him to take over the Westerlands after Tywin is dead.' Aiden thought as he used his ability to pick up the sword from a distance and bring it to him.

Putting the sword away, Aiden was satisfied with his haul. He could gift these weapons to several people. There were swords, axes, spears, bows, shields, maces, and armors all made from Valyrian steel. Each item was worth whole armies, and that was when they were still able to be made, now the value of all these weapons were priceless due to no new Valyrian steel could be made.

Ever since the Doom the technology to create Valyrian steel was lost, all they could do now was reforge already made Valyrian steel items into new ones, and even ghen there were only three people in the world that could do so, as you can imagine the value of the steel skyrocketed.

This was why Tywin, with all his gold, couldn't get his hands on a replacement sword. Anyone who owned a Valyrian steel item wouldn't sell it, even if they were hurting for gold.

Very few lords owned one, there were only a total of about two hundred Valyrian steel items in Westeros overall its history, but almost all of them had been lost over time. Now only about six swords, one axe, and one dagger are all thats left in Westeros. All the others had been lost, some to other countries, while others were taken by the Iron Bank to cover debts that now extinct houses had accumulated.

After putting Brightroar away Aiden flew up out of the water and made his way back to Ulthos. His arrival caused a stir amongst those waiting on the beach, but what he did next made the men, even Oberyn to question reality.

Floating above the Laughing Lion, Aiden used his bio-electric field to lift the ship up out of the water. Using his powers of creation, he began to rebuild the ship as he floated the additional materials he retrived from the other sunken ships.

The additional materials began merging into the ship, it began to mold into an entirely new shape and grew in size. Now the Laughing Lion was 24 meters, or 80 feet, in length with three masts. The front two masts were square rigged while the rear mast had a lateen rig, or triangular sail. This would help catch the wind better, even on days with little wind, as well as making the ship more maneuverable.

The masts were also much higher than the standard masts, this improved the speed of the ship.

Gerion and the others were shocked to see the magical display, it was the only way to describe seeing wood stretch and mold together. It was as if it wasn't wood at all, it seemed like Aiden turned the wood into liquid, forming it to shape as it combined with the materials Aiden retrieved.

Once Aiden finished, he placed the ship back down into the water. He had added a bit of subtle benefits to the ship, such as increased durability. The ship wouldn't have trouble sailing in the Smoking Sea or even the Bay of Ice. It was fire resistant and wouldn't capsize or sink even in the worst of storms.

Rather than having only two levels like previously, it now had five. It was now the fastest ship on the planet and could carry much more cargo than other ships of the same size.

"Amazing!" Was all Gerold could say as he saw the ship sitting on the water.

Aiden had matched the look as best as he could, the Laughing Lion was the crown ship of the Lannisters after all, so he wanted to keep the style as it was. The sails were red with a golden roaring lion head emblazoned on them, which was the Lannisters colors.

"See, my nephew needs no ship when he can fly." Oberyn said with a laugh as he looked at the new ship in amazement.

Ellaria too was shocked by everything she saw, making her want Aiden even more. She decided to talk to Oberyn and Ashara first, she knew Oberyn wouldn't mind, but it was Ashara Dayne she worried about.

She saw Aiden not as a man, but as a god, as did the others who witnessed what Aiden did in front of them. It was the only explanation for what they witnessed, they knew this went far beyond magic.

Aiden landed in front of the crew and explained, "The new ship will be much faster than it was, and you can sail it much easier with less crew. The storage capacity has also been vastly improved as is the crew quarters. It can sail in any waters and can be beached without worry, I reinforced the bottom so even if you hit rocks, it won't sink. The sails are also reinforced so you don't have to furl them in a storm, they won't tear." Aiden explained.
