Phantom Rush

Rick decided to test the limits of the Teleportation Spell. At this time, he stood on the training grounds with the wooden dummy 5 meters in front of him. He then threw the rock towards the wooden dummy.

Just when the rock was about to hit the wooden dummy, he suddenly teleported and was hit in the nose with the rock instead.

"Urgh!" Rick groaned in pain as blood came out from his nose and added "Damn. That hurts" as he inwardly cursed himself for being stupid. He decided to rest for a while.

After half an hour of rest, he decided to replace the rock with fist-sized crumpled paper so that in case something similar happens, it wouldn't hurt that much.

He then threw the crumpled paper towards the wooden dummy. He intentionally missed it so that he could teleport behind it for a surprise attack from behind. He then teleported and made a light elbow and hit the wooden dummy.

"Alright, that works. I just have to modify the Magical formula a bit so that the object will always land in my hands whenever I teleport. I wouldn't want to accidentally get hit by the object in a fight after all" Rick said as he smiled.

Suddenly, he heard a woman's voice from behind "Can you do that again?" Narlie said with the corners of her eyes widened and her mouth open in shock as she looked at Rick.

Rick turned around and saw Narlie's shocked expression. He was somewhat taken aback but he quickly composed himself.

"Ooops, busted" Rick chuckled as he scratched the back of his head.

"Did you just.. use Teleportation Magic?" Narlie asked as the corners of her eyes narrowed as she looked at Rick's figure. He just nodded with a bitter smile.

"Show me how you did it" Narlie said with a solemn voice.

"Alright then" Rick then threw the crumpled paper forward and teleported to the direction of the crumpled paper. He then held the crumpled paper in his hands as he flashed out a grin.

"Unbelievable! That was an elite rank spell, approaching saint rank in difficulty!" Narlie exclaimed as she looked at Rick as if he was a monster.

"Well, I combined Teleportation Magic with Sealing Magic. Remember my self-created Sealing Magic? Yeah, I sealed the spatial coordinates inside this crumpled paper so I can teleport to wherever this paper is regardless of the distance.. in theory" Rick explained as he held the crumpled paper and showed it to Narlie.

"There's no way to test your affinity towards space, but I can tell that it's just as monstrous as your talent in Sealing Magic" Narlie said with a solemn voice as she looked at Rick.

"Hey, don't praise me too much or I'll get a big head and become an arrogant young master like in the novels" Rick said with a joking tone as he smiled.

"Aren't you forgetting something?" Narlie asked as the corners of her eyes narrowed. Rick just looked at her with a confused gaze.

Thwack!

"Didn't I say not to touch Spatial Magic for a while? You're lucky everything went well or you won't be getting away with just a smack. Sigh" Narlie said as she lightly smacked the back of his head.

'Sigh. Geniuses are always that problematic. It's hard to restrain them, especially on something they're good at' Narlie thought to herself.

"Oh by the way, this one is different from Teleportation. Teleportation almost can't be used in combat while this one.. it has the potential for combat. It should be considered as a self-created spell so you have the naming rights for this spell" Narlie asked. The corners of Rick's eyes lit up at those words.

"What about Flying Thunder God?" Rick said, shamelessly claiming rights to Tobirama's Flying Thunder God jutsu.

'His jutsu was a space-time jutsu while mine is just spatial magic combined with Sealing Magic and besides, Kishimoto can't sue me in this world anyway' Rick thought to himself.

"Why Flying Thunder God? It's not even related to lightning nor does it have to do with flying. You might as well name it the Phantom Rush or Phantom Teleportation" Narlie said.

"Phantom Rush.. That's not bad. I'll take it" Rick said as he rubbed his chin.

"Wait, can't you think of a name for yourself? I just said that on a whim" Narlie asked with an annoyed tone as she folded her arms.

"It's already been decided. I won't change my mind" Rick said with his hands on his hips.

"Suit yourself then" Narlie said as she rolled her eyes.

"Teacher, can you help me modify this spell so that the object will always end up in my hands whenever I teleport?" Rick asked.

"That's what you should've done when you had this idea in the first place! Alright, I'll allow you to use Spatial Magic as long as you tell me beforehand" Narlie said with a sigh.

"Is it just me or that you're really blooming in beauty right now?" Rick said as he looked at Narlie's face.

Thwack!

"Try that again and you can say goodbye to Spatial Magic" Narlie said as she rolled her eyes.

"And were you saying just now that I wasn't beautiful before?" Narlie said as the corners of her eyes narrowed.

"Of course not.. I was just saying that your beauty bloomed even more.." Rick said as he was sweating bullets.

"Good. Also, don't even think about trying out your newly created spatial spells in the future without my approval" Narlie said with a smile.

"Yes Ma'am" Rick replied as he bitterly smiled.

...

After familiarizing himself with his self-created spatial spell, Rick went back home at night. At this time, Rick entered the gates of their house and when he opened the door, he saw Laura's imposing figure with her hands on her left hand on her hips and a slipper on her right hand as she glared at Rick.

"I heard you sneakily cast a spatial spell?" Laura said with a gentle smile as she tilted her head slightly to the left.

It was at this moment that he knew he f*cked up!

The next day, the story of a wailing ghost in Rick's house spread among the younger kids without Rick knowing.
