As soon as my second spell hit the Prince's form, electrocution damage also kicked in, causing him to convulse and emit a flurry of sparks.
-15 HP
However, with this much effort, I barely managed to move the boss's health bar, making me grit my teeth.
Before the Dark Prince could even react, I quickly ducked behind the window, hiding from its view.
I was more than aware that this one-sided battle wouldn't last for long.
The Prince would surely soon figure out where I was hiding and start counterattacking, leaving me barely any time to attack, let alone land a hit.
I was not afraid of his spells directly but rather their after-effects.
For example, even a simple explosion that happened because a small spark of flame ignited in this room, I would die.
I was pretty much a glass cannon.
Tilting my head, so I could see the Prince's figure through the window, I was met with two crimson eyes glaring back at me.
These two orbs were full of uncontained rage and madness.
This even made me shiver.
'Is this <Killing Intent>?'
Tucking my head beneath the window frame, I slapped my cheeks to release the sudden overwhelming fear that had gripped me.
Since I came from the future, I knew a certain skill that could be formed without receiving a Skill Book.
As far as I know <Killing Intent> could be formed as an active skill once a player causes enough death and destruction, allowing them to intimidate and instill fear in their opponents, giving them a significant advantage in battles.
In my first life, only a single person was known to have obtained this skill.
I could even remember hearing stories of some people fainting when they were directly exposed to the intense killing intent emitted by that person.
However, the Prince doesn't have this skill but is only forming it.
I'm very fortunate to fight him at this stage because if he were to fully master <Killing Intent>, it would be nearly impossible for me to defeat him.
I would be rolling on the ground, unconscious or paralyzed with fear.
Whoosh...
Seeing that the cooldown of my spell was finally over, I took a deep breath and summoned my focus, creating another Lightning Spear, which I instantly launched toward the boss.
Unfortunately, now that I had attacked again, the Prince immediately sensed my presence and swiftly evaded the incoming Lightning Spear.
I couldn't help but click my tongue, seeing as he gracefully dodged my projectile with ease.
However, before the Demon could counterattack, I ducked behind the cover, vanishing out of his vision.
Although a few minutes had already passed since I threw my first attack, the real battle was about to begin.
Now, the Prince knows exactly where I'm hiding and dodging my spells will be less challenging.
Unfortunately for the overgrown Demon, I was already prepared for this.
Waiting until my spell was not on cooldown, I began channeling Mana toward my right hand, creating lightning sparks that crackled and danced on my palm.
As soon as a tangible spear appeared, I gripped it tightly and rose swiftly from behind cover.
Instantly, a gaze full of hatred washed over me, making me grit my teeth.
However, this time the huge Demon was not going to wait until I attacked.
Before I could launch my spell, the Prince started murmuring something under his nose.
Within less than a second, two Dark Orbs appeared above his palms, levitating ominously.
It seems that the prince was casting a spell...
However, I wasn't going to let him finish his incantation.
I instantly came up with a plan but it required precise timing and execution.
I intended to interrupt Demon's spell exactly when he was about to throw it.
I knew that casting a high-tier spell usually takes a few seconds, which was a very long time for mages.
If I was able to successfully launch my spear at the same time when the boss finished his spell...
It will be explosive!
Whoosh...
Seeing the opportunity, I didn't even hesitate to release my Lightning projectile, aiming it directly at the Demon Prince's outstretched hands, hoping to disrupt his spellcasting and prevent him from launching his Dark Orbs.
Thud...
My spell struck true, colliding with his outstretched hands and causing the Demon to lose control of the Dark Orbs.
Boom...
Both spheres exploded in a burst of dark energy, dissipating into nothingness.
- 205 Critical Damage!
Feeling the pain, the Demon growled before using the dust as a cover and conjured a Darkness Blast.
Its massive mana pool churned as a dark projectile appeared in his palm, radiating tons of mana.
As smoke was slowly settling down the prince caught sight of a head protruding from the window and threw the spell directly toward it.
On the other hand, I was completely ignoring the boss's presence, snickering at my successful interruption of his spell.
While still in high spirits, I lifted my eyes to observe the Demon, however, instead of that, I saw a huge Darkness Blast coming straight toward my face.
'Shit!'
Instinctively, I fell to the ground, getting caught only by the edge of the blast.
Unfortunately, that was more than enough to knock me off balance and send me sprawling across the ground in pain.
- 11 HP
"Augh..."
I growled, feeling my entire body throbbing in pain and realizing the severity of the situation.
Before the prince could cast another spell, I quickly took out an HP potion from my inventory and gulped it down in one swift motion, restoring a portion of my health and regaining my composure.

Seeing my health bar, slowly climbing back to full, I let out a sigh of relief.
I almost had my first death!
Slowly lifting my body off the ground, I peeked through the window and instantly fell on the ground, because another blast was coming my way.
Boom...
This time I was quick enough and evaded the blast entirely.
Whoosh...
Not wasting any time, I conjured another spear and once again raised my head from the cover.
I instantly saw the Prince creating another spell and launched my projectile toward him.
- 49 Magical Damage!
Unfortunately, this time, my attack didn't interrupt his casting, leaving me vulnerable to whatever spell he was conjuring.
Boom...
- 2 HP
I managed to dodge the spell at the last second but some rocks from the ceiling of the room fell on my head.
Click...
I was about to launch another Lightning spear at the boss when I heard a weird sound of clicking echo through the library.
My eyes widened and I quickly fell on my knees, covering my head.
Zzzzzzzz...
A dark beam shot straight through the window and bounced off the wall landing near me and evaporating.
"I almost died!"
Slowly lifting my eyes I noticed that the place where the beam hit was severely damaged and bent in.
Taking a peek through the window I noticed the Prince breathing deep breaths and wiping his sweat.
Flashing a smile I gulped down an MP potion and once again conjured another Spell before throwing it at the Boss.
After using one of its more powerful skills the monster was tired.

~ +2% To Inflict Status Effect
~~~~
My Lightning Spear spell also leveled up when the projectile hit the Prince, gaining increased damage and an improved chance to inflict status effects.
While I was hiding the Mana Regen was also slowly regenerating MP, unfortunately, it hasn't yet reached its next level.
"..."
Hiding under the window's cover I waited for the Lightning Spear Spell cooldown to end.
However, whilst the cooldown was still ticking I heard the sound of something being unsheathing.
I didn't even need to look to know what it was.
The Demon had summoned his Darkness Sword.
It was an active skill that could be used to block or cut through my Lightning attacks.
I didn't know if the prince was required to constantly feed it with Mana or if there was a time limit for the sword, but I just needed to wait.
Whoosh...
The Prince summoned his sword to deflect the attacks of the enemy and used his other hand to conjure the spells.
The Boss was probably waiting for me to reveal my head and give him a target.
Unfortunately, the Prince was left dumbfounded, because I wasn't moving.
I was playing a waiting game after all.
After some time of such stand-off, The Dark Prince felt that keeping the sword was taking a toll on his body and that his MP was quickly draining.
Canceling his skill the Demon felt his chest burn.
Looking down and seeing a lightning projectile stuck in his chest he felt blood flow to his head.
- 51 Magical Damage!
Another successful attack landed, bringing the boss's HP lower.
However, I was keeping my calm.
I knew that the Prince had some more skills in his Arsenal.
Eyeing the huge Demon I suddenly lost him from my sight.
'Darkness Robe'
Grumbling under my nose I looked around the library warily.
