Allen immediately heard a reply from Iris and although Iris was confused and startled when she heard Allen's voice, Iris didn't show any emotional fluctuation on her face as it would take more than that to make her reveal her emotions.

Iris was already used to Allen trying out new and unusual things from fortifying his house to creating overpowered sentient plants and now to trying out telepathic communication.

After sending that message to Iris via telepathy, Allen started working on creating telepathic connections with his classmates to include them in his mass telepathy.
