Really, I fell into the arch of the Aggregor? How did it get me here?
Looking ahead, I saw fifteen-year-old Ben. Standing next to him was Gwen, not much different from me, and Kevin stood to his side. First time I meet him.
Looking at me, Ben and Gwen exclaimed in shock:
- Lex?
- Is that really you?
Their questions knocked me out of my rut. How do they know me? I didn't meet with them.
Although ... Perhaps they met. But not this me. The future me. This is very possible. But it's better to ask yourself than to rack my brains.
— Gwen? And I don't know you two… - I said, pointing my finger at Ben and Kevin.
Of course I know them, but I don't have to. So, it's time to lie recklessly.
- You don't know us? - Ben asked in surprise.
- You look familiar. You look like an alternate version of me from another dimension, only older. And judging by the Omnitrix you have it on your hand. So you are Ben? - I asked.
- Right. - Ben nodded.
- Alternative version? - Kevin asked.
- Yes. Some time ago, I was thrown into another dimension. To everyone around me, I became Ben. And there I was ten years old. - I said.
- And what was that dimension? - Gwen asked.
- That's where the Omnitrix found Gwen. And history took a different path. - I said.
- What? So it wasn't a dream? - Ben shouted in shock.
- Dream? - Gwen asked.
- Gwen, remember I told you about it. I returned to the beginning of summer, you found the Omnitrix instead of me, and then Vilgax attacked and kidnapped you. As a result, the Omnitrix ended up on Grandfather's hand. - Ben spoke quickly.
- It wasn't a dream. This is a different reality. Apparently you've been there too. I don't know about you, but Professor Paradox put me in there. - I said.
- Do you know the Professor? And why did he do it? - Gwen asked.
- I hacked into the Plumbes' main database and found out about him from there. But I never spoke to him. Well, more precisely, he did not even let me say a word. And why did he do it? Who knows. A being as powerful as him has his own quirks. Since you were thrown there too, I think that this is such a test for the owner of the Omnitrix. - I told my conclusion.
- And anyway, how do you know me? - I asked again.
- We met several times. The first time was when I was ten years old. For Grandpa's birthday, we… - Ben began, but I interrupted him.
- Stop, stop, stop. No further. I have a few more weeks until Grandfather's birthday. I'd rather not know anything else. It will only get worse. It's enough that you know me. - I said.
- Exactly. By the way, Lex, what are you doing here? - Gwen asked.
- And why are you so tired? -Ben asked after her.
- I do not know. I've been doing my heroic stuff and I'm overtired, which is why I look so bad. Back at the hotel, I lay down on the bed and fell asleep. And after a couple of minutes I woke up in a white space. There was nothing at all, so I chose a direction at random and went. An hour later I heard the voice of Professor Paradox. He said that since I'm here, it's fate and my help will come in handy. Then, I went through the fog and ran into you. - I said.
- Professor Paradox said so? Then good. We really need your help. - Ben said.
- So where are we anyway? - I said as I looked around.
- On the way to the Forge of Creation. - Gwen said.
- Seriously? Incredible. I never thought I'd get here. - I said with delight.
- Do you know about this place? - Ben asked.
- The Plumbers database? - Gwen guessed.
- Right. Not much was written there, but I know the basic information. So what are you doing here? - I asked.
Gwen and Ben then told me the story of their battle with the Aggregor.
- So, this Aggregor was able to completely absorb the powers of five incredibly powerful aliens, collect the entire Map of Infinity, and now wants to devour the newborn Celestialsapien? Are you trying to stop him? - I asked.
- Yes. - Ben said.
- Why didn't you leave him before?
After my question, all three immediately became sad.
- It's clear. You screwed up. Well, it happens. Since I am here, I will help you in any way I can. - I said.
- Thank you. Your help will definitely help us. - Ben said with a smile.
- By the way, who are you? - I said looking at Kevin.
- I'm Kevin. - Kevin said.
- Nice to meet you, Kevin, I'm Lex. - I said and shook hands with Kevin.
- Wait, you don't know Kevin? - Gwen asked.
- Not. Never met. - I said and shook my head.
- Your dimension doesn't have Kevin Levin? - Ben asked.
- Levin? I only know Ashley Levin, she's an Osmosian and my girlfriend. - I said.
Hearing my words, Ben and Kevin looked at each other strangely, after which they moved away from each other. It looks like they are tired.
And Gwen was clearly having fun with it all.
- Clear. So you have Kevin and I have Ashley. In the literature, this is called a genderswap. - I said.
- Right. - Gwen said with a huge smile.
Ben and Kevin are clearly not having fun right now. They are so pale. Why are they so dramatic?
- Okay. We have little time. We need to pull out the ship and go to the Forge. - said Ben, pulling himself together.
Everyone nodded at his words and we went to the entrance to the ship. But the moment I walked past Ben, our clock shone.
A dial popped up on my Omnitrix and Ben's Ultimatrix. After that, our dials grappled together and, as if, tightly glued to each other.
Then, my Omnitrix flashed a very bright yellow. The flash was repeated about twenty times.
When the last flash ended, our clocks finally broke and we were able to move away from each other.
- What was it? - Ben exclaimed and looked at his watch.
Looking at my Omnitrix, I saw that the dial was still lit yellow, and the Omnitrix sign itself was constantly spinning. And it doesn't look like he's going to stop doing it anytime soon.
- Looks like it's my fault. I installed on my Omnitrix, something like an automatic scanner. As soon as I encounter a new kind of alien, the watch automatically scans for it. Apparently my watch sensed the DNA storage in your watch. Looks like I scanned all of your available aliens. Are you okay with your watch? - I asked.
- Yes, everything seems to be fine. No crashes and everything works. And you have? - Ben asked.
- Looks like the Omnitrix overloaded. There were too many aliens. He doesn't seem to be able to take that much. How many aliens did you have in total? - I asked, carefully examining the clock.
- A little over thirty. But I think you have some of them. So it is not known exactly how much you scanned. Can you use the Omnitrix? - Ben asked.
- Not in the near future. - I said and shook my head.
- Will there be any consequences?
- I'm not sure. But I think everything will be all right. - I said.
This time, I lied a little. It seems that this overload significantly shook the AI of the Omnitrix so much.
This is actually very good. For me. Now many of the security systems have been weakened and I can finally do everything I wanted to do. But that's later.
Now it is more important that all the main functions of the Omnitrix are in perfect order. And I can use it. But only after a while.
- Cool. And what are we going to do? Will there be much help from you without the Omnitrix? - Kevin asked.
- Do not worry. I'm not useless without a watch. Let's get the ship out. - I said, after which I created a magical construct in the form of an Iron Man suit, after which I took off and grabbed the other wing of the ship.
With a comfortable grip, I began to pull the wing back. I used repulsors on my legs to create more momentum.
After a couple of seconds, Ben joined me in the form of Jetray.
It took two minutes, but we were able to get the ship. After that, we went into the cockpit of the ship, where Gwen and Kevin were already waiting for us.
