Capítulo 160: 152. Temple of Fate(Again)
Vegeta and Kratos finished the fight and started moving onto the path to look for the Temple one more time. Soon, they found traces of huge steps on the ground. Vegeta looked at the direction of the steps and both of them started follow behind them.
In a matter of days, they caught unto Atlas who was currently walking slowly again towards the depths of Tartarus. Vegeta looked at the massive Titan and once again marvelled at his size. The guy was way bigger than the Godzilla after getting hit by a nuclear missile.
"Atlas!" Kratos yelled at the Titan and tried to get his attention.
Atlas kept walking but tilted his head as he squinted his eyes. "Kratos, didn't you get in the temple. Why are you looking for me?" Atlas questioned as he was a little puzzled.
Atlas lowered his hand and got both Kratos and Vegeta on his hand and held them in front of his eyes. Kratos looked at Atlas for a bit and spoke. "We took down the barrier but encountered spatial rifts that enveloped us". Kratos said, Atlas head Kratos' words and nodded his head.
Without waiting for Vegeta and Kratos' words again. He plunged the both of them into the globe on his head again. They both travelled inside the depths of the globe for a while and came upon the Temple of Fate one more time.
At first glance, you could see that the Temple was more heavily guarded everywhere with Nether Ghouls and various other monsters going around the temple. Vegeta swallowed his saliva with a little excitement as he looked at the sheer number of enemies in front of his eyes.
"This will take a bit of time". Vegeta said and analysed the surroundings.
Kratos didn't say anything and started walking towards the monsters. Vegeta followed behind and even made some clones for distraction and support. Both of them walked a little distance and were noticed by the monsters there.
Like the previous time, they were first greeted by Centaurs guarding the temple. The centaurs walked towards them imposingly and stood in front of them like steel pillars. They were clad in armours and various other weapons that made them look imposing and menacing.
Just as the leader of the Centaurs was about to speak, Vegeta moved and kicked him in the face. The centaur's head caved in as he had his guard down and wasn't prepared. The others looked at this and immediately got ready to fight.
The centaurs got their shields up and protected the rear with energy shields that expanded from their armours. The others got ready to attack at a moments' notice. Vegeta looked t this and just moved forward as he struck the shield with a Ki blast from point blank range.
The shield caused ripples for a moment but withstood the attack. Vegeta looked at it condescendingly and this time concentrated the Ki beam on his fingers. The concentrated bema penetrated the shield and made a bloody hole in the Centaurs' knee. The centaur fell forwards and disrupted the whole formation.
Kratos took the chance and plunged into the enemies. He slashed and took off their heads one by one. The Centaurs rained down attacks frantically on both of them with no regards to their own lives.
Vegeta kept firing Ki blasts or used Ki blades for the battle and devastated the enemy ranks whenever they tried to put up a shield or resistance. The timing and the tacit understanding between both Vegeta and Kratos was increasing day by day through repeated battles. They didn't even need to give signals to each and could sync with each other uniformly.
Finishing off the enemies, Both of them didn't power down and continued to fight their way through all the monsters on their way to the barrier in Temple of Fate. The battle lasted quite long as they fought and devastated the surroundings with their attacks.
Earthquakes, Sonic booms and massive craters were standard practice in the fight between all of them. Ghouls, Ghosts, Wraths, Harpies and Serpents. The amount of monsters on the Temple Grounds had increased exponentially from the last time they appeared there.
Both of them finished off the monsters in the surroundings and finally reached the barrier after hours of fighting nonstop. The barrier was up again in all its magnificence. It was covering the whole temple and had a golden sheen to it.
"The fucking barrier is up again and feels even stronger than before". Vegeta cursed as he looked at barrier in bad taste. He was feeling annoyed as he looked at the barrier.
Kratos didn't say anything in reply and just looked Vegeta and waited for him to attack. Vegeta shook his head helplessly and transformed into his Divine Ki form. He got into a stance and launched a Final Flash at the barrier with full power.
The space around the beam got twisted and Kratos used a barrier to shield him and Vegeta inside to prevent what happened last time. Vegeta used all his strength and barrier started to get ripple inside it. Slowly the ripples intensified and the Barrier started to crack little by little.
After a while, like broken glass. The barrier shattered and dispersed in the surroundings like glowing dust. Vegeta was drenched with sweat as he flopped to the ground after finally taking down the barrier.
The surrounding space was completely torn apart and there were multiple fissures all around the place. This time, Vegeta took down the Strengthened barrier by himself and didn't require any help. Telling that he had indeed grown stronger than last time they challenged the barrier on the Temple.
"Finally. Let me eat something and we can go in". Vegeta sighed and took deep breath as he said. He was feeling tired and drained after getting all his Ki emptied into that Ki Beam.
Kratos nodded his head and sat down with Vegeta but kept the barrier up as it was still not safe in the surroundings. The fissures in the surroundings were still there and they weren't planning to go anywhere.
