The night has come.
The elite's of the City Lor's mansion and the Winged Dragon family were all present.
In front of them were the leaders of the respective groups, and beside them, the Shen couple.
Not too far from the six, were three teens, a boy, and two girls.
The three had blank expressions, although if one looked carefully, they could see their hands tightly clenched, while their shoulders trembled from time to time. (A/N: I always found it funny when I saw a transmigrated person or a teenager MC, always being described as having a stony face or not feeling anything for their first kill and so on. Really, now that's bullshit! Totally not realistic!)
The air was a tense. The six leaders all had hardened expressions that betrayed no feelings.
Their harts having come to terms with both the fact that what they were about to do is for the sake of the future.
Stepping forward, Ye Zong speaks too al those that are before him.
"For all those that are present here, at this moment, let it be known that what we are about to do isn't for our own selfish reasons. It isn't for our greed, for our jealousy, or for our fear. What we are going to do tonight is for the future of Glory City! For the future of those that are to come after us, our children, grandchildren and so on!"
"The Sacred family has gone too far. They have forsaken this city that our ancestor have paid with their blood, with their very soul to create for us. The city that we have paid with countless blood and suffering to protect!"
"They have united together with the Dark Guild, the very vermin that wish for our suffering, for our destruction! They plan to take everything from us! From our riches to our families! From our freedom to our souls themselves!"
"They have already started, countless brilliant children that would have brought a bright future for Glory City have already died! Some suffer fates even worse than death at their hand even as we speak!"
"As such, men and women of Glory City, I ask of you. Will we continue to let them do as they please, will we let all those that we love and wish to protect perish at their hands?!"
"WE SHALL NOT!!!"
A chorus of united voices could be heard.
"THEN TONIGHT WE SHAL FIGHT! DO NOT LET EVEN ONE OF THEM LIVE! FOR THE FUTURE OF ALL WE CARE ABOUT, ALL THAT REPRESENT'S THE SACRED FAMILY MUST BE ELIMINATED!"
Afterward, Ye Zong started explaining the attack strategy.
There was three main entrance to the Sacred family grounds, while an escape tunnel was placet underneath Glory City.
All members were sorted into five teams. Three main assault teams, that is in charge of the three main entrances; they were lead by the Ye Zong, Shen Tiankong and Xiao Yunfeng.
The fourth team was in charge of the secret tunnel, making sure that no one manages to escape through it, the team was led by Ye Ziyun, Shen Wang and Xiao Ning'er, with the assistance of Ye Xiu, who was Ziyun's uncle. And finally, the fifth team that was composed of a few members that were specialized in sensory ability, tracking and assassination. They had the role to kill anyone that managed to somehow escape the other four teams.
Sacred family residence.
Shen Hong was currently in his personal library.
He had black bags under his eyes.
He did not manage to sleep much this past week. The fact that the elders and Dark Guild have failed to respond, while the search party's he has send have yet to find anything. No battle marks, or sines of aggression, anything.
What's more Shen Tiankong and Shen Xiannu have returned back to Glory City. The strange thing was that they had no sines of battle or injuries on them. It was like they were not even ambushed.
Strangely, it seems that his previous concerns about them being in the Legend realm were without merit. Although they have advance slightly, he could clearly feel them standing at four-star Black Gold and three-star Black Gold realm respectively.
There were also no signs of movements from the Snow Wind Family.
Everything was calm. To calm. And this worried him.
If he were to describe this feeling, it would be 'The calm before the storm.'.
"I really don't like this. It feels like a big storm is coming our way..."
