This was a really enjoyable ending to the first book. I like the bit of mystery about the black pearl (will he have a ship at sea? 🤣) and all the Spiritual and Martial Artes that seem to all be connected and come to him through these opportunities and people around him…. I certainly look forward to reading the next book! Here’s hoping its soon, Author! 💪☕️☕️

The first half of this chapter was almost exactly the same as the last bit of the previous chapter… unnecessary. Now the bit where Linger told Leon about the rumours…. I kinda wondered if Callum changed significantly after the birthday party-thing (their first meeting)

Hmmm…. I really like this Christmas chapter. But. Annemarie is just a side character. There’s just a tag pasted on this character that says “female lead”. So she’s a queen regent. So what. So she’s set to be the next Admiral. So what. So she’s a teenage girl that got a teleport ring. This is so forced, this reader isn’t buying this stew that wants to be a romance but is actually pretty good on its own!

A really good story to read. The MC has clear goals, the fight scenes great, the support characters likeable…. Overall really good to spend time on this story. The only negative point to mention is a history of poor updates or haitus for various stories. Likelyhood of updates again?…. Er *peeks at other works by this author*…. Unlikely.
I really think they are underutilising Ashe’s capabilities and potential. I mean, if Ashe would bother to add her windspirit’s buff to Clair that girl will be unstoppable. Fastest/ sneakiest assasin…. Super sneak.
