What can I say man, this is probably the best fanfiction not only from Danmachi but in general from this site. Personally I really liked that you didn't give the protagonist the victory, and all the points you gave for doing so seem very correct to me, I don't want this story to become a generic one with a protagonist who overcomes all difficulties without breaking a sweat. In short:IS LITERATURE
Man... not to criticize but that character design looks like it was created by my 10 year old self who thought those types of characters were cool. It doesn't affect the story at all though, I'll just rewind my brain and imagine the protagonist looking any other way.
Since he has all those abilities like his fangs and those claws, what if at one point in the fight his halberd is destroyed? And then he has to fight like a real beast, but as a super savage, using his enhancement abilities and his regeneration to charge forward and just, I don't know, climb the damn Goliath and throw a big breath of fire through his mouth and burn him from the inside?
