This is retarded. They know war will bring out more mangekyo. That’s the whole reason they didn’t let the uchiha participate. Even if they get rid of dozens of uchiha for every mangekyo they get it wouldn’t even out. A single uchiha with mangekyo is enough to stall hiruzen. They’re already dealing with one. Add another one and the rest of their forces will be slaughtered before jiri and hiruzen can even determine a winner.

They aren’t anything special as far as we know either. Hiruzen and the rest haven’t been in the office long enough here to significantly grow their clans at any rate and any jonin from them will lose 1v1 against an uchiha jonin. Even if hiruzen and danzo by some miracle manage to kill jiri there will likely be nothing left of their clans and few root/anbu by that time. If they can even manage to mobilize anbu for this that is. I don’t think many of them are brainwashed enough to randomly genocide a whole clan for no reason. And hiruzen would hate that kind of stain on his reputation. And that’s all before factoring in mito and the remaining senju.

If they actually did that it wouldn’t even take a week for hiruzen and them to be ousted by an alliance of practically every single clan in konoha. If they can even take a whole business and secret recipes from the uchiha clan for no reason then they can take whatever they want from the other clans whenever they feel like it aswell. With that kind of precedent it’s not far from confiscating their techniques either.

Rescuing sansa would be an alternative to get the king of the north of the board now that i think about it. He could probably get rob to bend the knee for him for saving his family. I mean he could still get the norths support if he waits until after the red wedding but then he’ll have to deal with the boltons and the other problems that come from that, the army he‘d get would be smaller too and he might lose the vale.
