I shrugged my shoulders and grabbed my sleeping clothes from my closet. I took off my shirt, glanced at the mirror and dropped my clothes. I was pretty built, but I now looked like I had half the body fat I used to. Each muscle was defined like it was chiseled out of marble, and my 6-pack was now a defined 8-pack of abs.

Well, majority rules. And as of me writing this chapter, the majority chose Spider-man powers. But don't get me wrong, I have no intention of making Elijah just another Spider-man OC. His Spider powers will not be the focus of his fighting style, but more of a supplement to his military training. And the way he uses them will vary greatly from the other Spider-people (mostly)

Yeah that’s what I meant. But it also ties into the fact that race and appearance has no matter in being a hero. A hero is a hero, no matter how they look.
In walked a new transfer student. He was about 5'11, had (H/C) hair, clear (S/C) skin, piercing (E/C) eyes and a muscular physique. As he was talking to the professors, I could hear the girls whispering some things I'd rather wish I hadn't heard, but alas, enhanced senses. But the weirdest thing was, my senses screamed at me that he was dangerous, but simultaneously told me to stay close to him. It was like they were telling me to befriend him to reduce the chances of having to fight him. I have faced a lot of villains in the past year, but none of them elicited a reaction as volatile as this.

Phew, that took a while to write. One problem I found while writing was that with Laura and Logan's enhanced hearing, the gunshots from the .50 Cal should've left them half deaf. Well, nothing I can do about that really. Unless I write in them having protective headsets on.

"...Alright. Yeah, I'll do it" My voice hasn't sounded this vulnerable in years. I'm not an idiot. I know just how much my work has affected me. But if I ever stopped to take a moment, to truly reflect on what I've done till now, the weight of it all would crush me. The people I've hurt, the children who no longer have a father or mother to come home to them at night, the wives and husbands who lost the love of their lives, the siblings who lost their eternal bond, and the parents who lost their child. It would break me, and that's what truly scared me. If I took a moment to look back on my life, would I turn around and ever truly be the same again? Maybe, maybe not. But if I'm out there saving lives, maybe, just maybe, I might eventually do more good than I've done harm. That may be the only way I ever find a way to ask for forgiveness, from both others, and myself.
