True. But civilizations like the Iroquois were skilled with muskets and rifles, additionally they were skilled trackers and scouts. And they had a very sophisticated republican system of government for the time.
John expected this reaction, many people in the colonies had similar sentiments as Eli had, while John had done his best to temper the xenophobic and racist sentiments Eli had to be very progressive for this day and age Eli still considered the native tribes to be uncivilized compared to the colonies.

There already exists silver mines IRL colonial times, but there wasn't gold mining so I wanted to access a resource that wasn't being mined at the time.
Sorry, exam week at college, I will put out 2-3 chapters next week to make up for it.

I do know that. They know about other oils but they haven't used peanut before and want to know about its qualities.
