It started way back starting Stryker's attack, then Trask and Fury's conversation about Sentinel program, Jean's sealed memories, Professor collecting data which ended up with Trask, then Death messing with his life by making him fight Thanos, resulting in the attack. Then he used Phoenix to bring them back to life, that was another turning point when he stopped hiding his power. Then came the corrupt guys who stole the disaster funds. Norman's human experiments, Ross' experiment on his own army killing many in the process. So, MC was like. 'F*k it. Let's kill these motherf****s and take matters into my own hands. No more passive play.' 😡😡

He didn't change. He's still a good guy that's why he took immediate steps to stop any more unnecessary deaths just like how he used Phoenix Force to bring those people back to life without caring about the consequences. I think it's like a wakeup call for him that he can't live a quiet life. He felt it right and just did it without waiting for those lazy a** heroes. As for MC knew about many events, so did the Prof. They didn't do anything.

Don't mind the negative comments. They only skim through without reading properly or try to understand the little points that changed Aron till now.

It's like we usually think like 'I'll change my lifestyle and do something productive tomorrow.' But we don't. But MC changed. I think back when he saw Trask and Fury, he wanted to kill Trask for making sentinels, and then he passed out. Prof said he'd take care of things but didn't instead was collecting data on the mutants which was in Trask's possession. I think that and the human experiments he saw from the data changed him for better or for worse. My thought is that the Prof messed with Jean's memories, that could also be the reason.
