thought it was a good idea to use * as action words. have gone for a more internal monologue route in the 2nd draft, makes it a lot more engaging and interesting instead of the emotionless *breath in* breath out* wish i saw your comments earlier

describing environments was something i sucked at, especially when i had a clear vision i completely forgot i actually had to explain it.
I then took on that name, as when I first read it I felt an overwhelming sense of familiarity with it… like I've known it for a long time. I also noticed three other rooms, each of them had words carved into them, but the only one I could make out was the word 'guest' on one of them, the other two had been scratched to the point that it could no longer be made out. Inside each of the rooms however included at least one bed.

haha, i thought the same thing when i came back for the 2nd draft rewrite, this was the first attempt at writing i've ever done so it's riddled with mistakes
My names Auric… I think. And I've been alone ever since I can remember. I believe it was seven years ago, the morning of my eighth birthday. on that morning I had no idea who I was or where I was, however, I still knew how to speak and walk without problems, it was only my memories that had seemed to vanish. I woke up in what seemed to be a bedroom which I later learned was mine. inside the room there was a pile of many different books in the form of guides: one for hunting, one for fishing, one for foraging, one for cooking so on so on. But something else caught my attention at that time, it was a note not addressed to anyone nor did it have a writer. all it said was 'use these' it was placed on top of the books so it must of been talking about them.

Hey everyone it’s the author here, if there’s anyone out there still waiting on the 12th chapter and are worried I’ve quit don’t worry… im still here I ain’t dead yet. I’ll give you guys an update though. After I finished chapter 11 and started chapter 12 I got hit with really bad gastro for around 5 days, basically had me bed ridden. Once I recovered I got around 1/4 of the way done with the chapter but got hit with a massive block, dont know if it was writers block or just lack of experience in the particular scene I was focusing on. So I decided it would be best if I tried writing a variety of one shot ideas I had, similar to manga one shots. I’m currently working on one which is told in an entirely different perspective with different characters. I have dozens of ideas I want to try and get on paper. It’s also made it quite difficult with me going on a 2 week holiday and having to use my barely functional laptop. Thing freezes after every sentence I write. To summarise… I have not lost motivation, far from it. Once I overcome this current hurdle I’m 100% sure I’ll return back to consistent chapter releases. And I’m active over on my Instagram @baitozz over there I post drawings and other things to do with the book. Thank you to everyone that’s read my current work. It’s been a blast and here’s to a future book release.

can see your point but i wanted a character who deviated from normal troupes, guess i could try to show how he's uninterested in the reasons instead of just skipping past it
But I don't have very much time to think about that as every day is busy with me trying to stay alive, like finding food so I don't starve to death… I grab my hunting backpack which stores things I may need such as spare fishing line, water, little food, and tools that I may need to repair the traps I've set, I also found both a bow and a sharp dagger that I use for hunting.
