It's nice to find a well-written fantasy story with this premise. Intervar is an interesting character, and not one that I would think at first to be a protagonist, but it works. Twelve chapters in and it's a story with much potential. The spelling and grammar are intact, and the writing crisp per line. This will be one that I follow.
The world building in this story draws one in with its mysteries, making one curious to know just what exists in this setting that has both modern technology and the supernatural. Some areas that have improved as the chapters have gone on are the grammar and descriptions. Definitely give this story a chance past the first chapter and it quickly becomes a tale with intriguing characters both recurring and new. The interactions between Anastasia and Emily especially were quite entertaining to read. Overall, an interesting tale, and one that gets better as the chapters move along.
Author here, thanks for visiting and reading my story. After three weeks, and getting to 20 chapters, I think it's about time I could provide some thoughts on what I've written. When I started this story, it was mainly on a whim for a writing prompt contest about an antihero who wanted to live a life in peace but kept getting bothered by enemies, so he decided to take them out first. Then his reputation grew until he became the actual big threat. Well, after populating the world with characters and placing my lead character as a former adventurer, who thought he was done with adventuring, the story started to gain a different life of its own. Now that the contest is over, I will take a look at the overall quality and interest in this work. While there are plans to take this both to the chronological point in time where the first chapter takes place (Five years in-universe), and beyond, I will keep an eye on whether anyone actually would want to read them on this platform. Regardless of the future plans, for now, I plan to finish at least the first story arc and have those chapters available here for all to read. Thank you once if you read through my work and I hope to see you again.
