Good writing, even with so little chapters to read these characters feel... alive. Yeah they are more alive, while dying, than most stories there. Even if it's just the starting of the novel and we didn't see much, I'm loving what I read.

Nothing about the flower or the creatures anymore, just last honest moments of two humans. A slave and a king... They both are dying, no need to worry about anything else and just laughing at their last moments.

He had lost his mind. He no longer thought about what he was going to do once he got to the fifth floor. He was just... going up. As far up as he could go, that's all. If he was going to die, he was going to die by going as far as he could.

The creature tried to use the claw on Kael's right shoulder to knock him backwards. And... it did it like child's play once again. Kael's small body was thrown back almost three meters and dragged along the ground for about a meter. His scream became a wheezing cry, it was hard not to think of the pain as his whole body was literally on fire.

It seems like there will be no escape for those remain alive. Still Kael is trying to go upstairs, hoping for someone to save him. I don't think they can hold this place much longer if they don't have someone OP. There will be no escape route either as they are too high from ground. Maybe there could be a secret escape route in the king's room? Tftc.

I thought he would suffer physically after waking up because of what the king said. But I guess it's a more complicated(?) thing. Maybe it makes him suffer when he uses the power? Then why did the king said that, Kael can just not use the power at all. Tftc.
