Studios make movies. But the actual investment comes from film funding companies. 100M is just production budget. There is an unknown marketing budget figure. Yeah based on your figures they make some profit but that isn’t considered as a”Profit” by the film investors. In simple words, they expect 2-3 returns on a good riskless investment and Mummy is considered good risk less investment in their yearly portfolio. The Homemedia returns is indeed cash flow but at that time studios split the revenue with writers/ Actors etc. so the final amount they get will be watered down. Don’t know to what extent though.

Chain mail is heavy. Not as heavy as plate armour but it still is heavy. Like at least 25 pound for a full sleeve version. So soldiers are trained to use it in the past. In our current world very few can use chain mail and still have momentum to run etc. It requires a ton of stamina to wear chain mail and run constantly. Also even if zombies cannot bite the body through chain mail, it can still scratch if it gets lucky.
