I think not being able to fInish an opponent is admirable. I mean if we look at out super heros today none of them are really willing fo kill and we still love them for it.
But Alex didn't know how to react He didn't want to kill. But the situation called for it. After some thought, Alex let the reaper die from blood loss rather than finishing it off himself. He couldn't handle finishing the reaper off, it was too much for him.
