what are you even talking about? unless it was a rifle from the 1800s to mid 1900s where it was a clip that was inserted into the internal magazine. most modern weapons have removable magazines. only exception is to pump shotguns that had the internal storage so you can rack shells. most modern weapons (rifles included) have an external magazine.
