yes I really did want to show how different a Diamond-Potential is compare to others. for example a 31IV In sp.atk is not the same as a 31IV sp.atk in a gold potential. It's like each potential tier jumps you up by 3 or 4 levels. so a level 30 Gold-Potential vs a level 30 Diamond-Potential is like facing a level 36-38 Pokémon instead of lvl 30.
the higher your level the harder it gets, even if you are diamond-potential.. or else everyone will be high level. especially since the have been a trainer or something else for years. also Weezing became level 37 at the end of the second wave. so these group of Pokémon's are his first opponents after leveling up. and there are all a mix of Silver and Gold-Potential. and also mostly in the level 30, with the highest among them being level 34. So Weezing is close to leveling up. especially with the third wave coming.
