Seems really forced, as an athlete the last thing you’re doing right before a game starts is wandering off. Especially the biggest game of his life and it’s not like he can go checking every women’s restroom to find her either.

Author I’m loving the story however it’s always odd when teams in the story seem to have several offenses in a row. Even if for some reason the other team start playing better why would the dogs just completely get shut out offensively. Especially if there’s no mention of missed shots or turnovers.
Seems like a very extreme response to be this angry over a random bird. Especially with him being as old as he is mentally and it’s been established he believes might makes right.
