Yeah but the things you're talking about, if applied to Naruto world logic and rules, it would take a crazy amount of control and chakra to achieve such feats. yes I do agree that Earth style is not explored in any real way in the original. maybe I'll have some good ideas during writing this fanfic. also I don't think that Earth style is involved a lot in Madara meteors. it's more like a summoning.
For Earth Style, many notable ninjas use it quite efficiently as their secondary element, namely, Kakashi, and Hiruzen but I have never seen anyone famous in the leaf using it as their primary element. The Hidden Stone`s Tsuchikage is quite efficient in using it.
