Nah, commitment aint the issue. It's lack of healthy communications, expectations and understanding that ruin polygamy for common people. It take much more work to maintain that kinda emotional investment most people just aren't cut out for that mentality, too selfish.
Honestly, because Vahn has the power and ability to be kind he can afford to offer mercy. More times than not, just killing them is more efficient and effective. He can just come back and undo any mistake, he can curse them with unique powers, he has the ability to make vast templates of over powered concepts to play warden. Let's not forget near infinite resources. In any other novel, god or not, they aren't afforded those generous option. Either you behead the snake or accept the consequences of letting them get stronger, cause more harm and ultimately attack again once their spite filled ego can't be more patient.
(A/N: I'm honestly a little taken aback by some of the comments in the previous chapter. It amazes me how senseless people can be at times; completely ignoring the actual context in the novel just because it contradicts one of their own personal biases. I mean, seriously, Vahn had never enjoyed killing people so why do some of you asshats keep acting like it is the only fucking solution to every goddamn problem in the novel? Even when he literally curses people to become cripples in a world where virtually everyone has superpowers, you act like every enemy he lets walk away is actually the reincarnated MC of a wuxia novel. There are even people making completely arbitrary claims about Vahn being a hypocrite for arbitrary reasons, none of which have anything to do with the context of the actual novel. Seriously, how is Vahn being 'hypocritical' when, from the very start of the fucking novel, he is always shown being depressed or remorseful after killing? It is something he genuinely hates to do, yet, as if he is some Chad Thundercock with a perpetual murder boner, you completely ignore this to say thoughtless remarks that completely ignore more than 1800 chapters of evidence contradicting your claims. Vahn has almost always killed as a mercy or to save the people he wants to protect. Stop pretending like he walks around with rosary beads filled with the eternally suffering souls of his enemies while wearing clothes sewn together from their still-living flesh. Seriously. This is the kind of shit that makes some authors want to drop their novels.)

This poor 300+ year old child. All those psychology books and yet fails to identify and deal with his toxic traits. Especially with sis reveal of her ability to push memories to the forefront during his time of reflection.
Since they were effectively his words, Vahn couldn't help but respond with a chuckle of his own. He quite enjoyed talking with both Phae and Gandr, so, even when nobody was looking, he carried on the intrapersonal communication in the hope that it would expedite the development of their Egos. This was a notion that both Phae and Gandr shared, obviously, so it wasn't uncommon for them to have long discussions with just the three of them.

I want old man mason in Demon slayers. I can imagine him making his own breathing technique and making overpowered swords and or Zanpukto. Or maybe DBZ arc where he makes Yamcha overpowered. Maybe have Ina and Vana enter Zoids.
I know there have been multiple requests regarding various Records, and, while it might not be possible to send Vahn there, that doesn't mean others are unable to venture out and have their own journey. If there are Records that the community is eager to see, I have no problems writing a short-story related to them. Depending on their popularity, those same short stories might be expanded upon as official spinoffs. To that end, feel free to let me know if you have any ideas, and, so long as it doesn't just sound 'wrong', I will add it to the list.
