so I just got off work and saw your response, which leaves me truly baffled, like we're dropped on your head or something??? let's break down and look at your concerns real quick. 1. inequality because the alpha vs beta with an example of an alpha forcing themselves on females. 2 . There would be a breakdown of the law because people other than armed personnel would be helpless to stop the infected. 3. that the strong werewolves would terrorize the weak humans, paving the way for tyranny, exploitation, and the end of freedom or democracy as we know it. 4. the collapse of the economy because werewolves are now too strong to work jobs that they hated as humans, when there are humans they can simply muscle through and steal from. 5. that because the now massive upswing in the werewolf population society would be ruled by the now strong werewolves, therefore would become a place without education and meritocracy. to which I counter-argue 1. A, people upon being bit by an alpha/ infected with the virus I would make which does the same things. either turn them into a beta or awaken their dormant supernatural powers, invalidating your fears of inequality or abuse. B. that the most common way for a beta to become an alpha is to kill one themselves, so no beta are not fully helpless and must obey an alpha this is supported through the teen wolf series by omegas existing and betas being able to resist and oppose alphas. 2. the thing about airborne viruses ( you know with the 0% rejection or death rate but 100% improved turn rate, like the one I wanted to make if I'm ever in the Teen Wolf universe) is the lifeforms the get infected often become carriers which depending on the virus (mine definitely will before being released) will infect others within proximity ergo neither police nor the common citizens will be defenseless during the outbreak and any loss in law and order would be temporary at worst. you know what? for a fact, I would have started working on two things if I ended up in Teen Wolf #1, making sure those I tried to turn would 100% survive and get supernatural powers. #2, I would try to make an air borne virus using my werewolf powers and science to infect all humans. in that order.
