Sorry about not updating, I have been binge watching game of thrones and reading some of the books recently, it has affected the update. Expect a new chapter tomorrow. I’ve also been writing two new novels, hopefully it doesn’t affect future updates.

Although Richard infantry is styled after the Roman, with added medieval equipment. His Calvary, archers, and knight are not styled after the Roman’s. His Calvary are similar to Byzantine cataphracts. His archers would be similar to the English longbowman. His knights would be similar to medieval knights. Remember, these are not conscripts, these will be his professional forces.

Richard infantry equipment is a hybrid of the Roman’s, Byzantine’s, and medieval. But with the tactics of the Roman Empire. Money isn’t a problem, Richard can afford it. Also his land population is 50k, he wouldn’t recruit above 1k as of now. One reason why Byzantine had to move away from the original Roman tactics was because it required discipline and a lot of training. A Roman infantry which were professional standing army would beat conscripts of medieval army infantry every time. Also remember this, the current operation is to test the tactics and equipements. Richard can add more to his forces, like better equipment, training, and tactics. Imagine in the future after trials and errors Richard create an infantry that would be feared across the realm. Having read many novels myself, I understand you. But I gotta write this. This chapter is important for future development of Richard forces. A set up that will be important in the future like the Essos arc.
