The story is very interesting.. though there are hints on how the story will progress, the way the story is made will still make you guess 'what's next?'.. The character design and world background is cliche but still interesting to read.. I am so looking forward to the next chapters but I guess it will take quite sometime before it happens since we're still on halt at chapter 40. I would love to give it a higher rating but the updates are not yet stable and 40 chapters is too early to tell if it's worth of 5stars. On the more positive note, the progress is really interesting and I am sure many are looking forward to the next chapters.. 😊
Qiao Nan is so funny 🙄 "Qiao Nan, who is now a mother, understands Shi Peng's feelings." 😂🤣 She understands other father's feeling of concern but she doesn't care about her own father's feelings. 🤣😂 Should her father abandon the bad child (Zijin) just to favor her (Qiao Nan) the 'good child'? Really funny 🙄😏
At this point, I found Qiao Nan a hypocrite. She got so angry for Shi Qing's sake yet she didn't give up and 'understands' how Shi Qing is stubborn and will not listen but she gave up her father and have her hands-off to his situation 😅 I am not saying that she try to put up with her father's situation with Zijin but at least 'listen' to his explanation (re: Chap 1207). He just had his best intention not to burden Qiao Nan but she just brushed it off and doesn't care. So so ironic 🙄
Me too! I agree. Father Qiao is trying to do his best for both daughters - the good and the bad - but Nan Nan and the Zhai family think it's useless for him and he's muddle-headed. I am disappointed at Qiao Nan's behavior at this point. It's like she felt it's 'sacrifice' on her part. I feel sad for Qiao Dongliang 😢
Quiao Nan's father might not be the best - no father is perfect anyway. In my perspective, he is trying to at least make sure that despite his wife's attitude, he would like to keep the family harmonious. Yes, it's frustrating for us readers as we can see the 360 attitude of Old Ding and Ziyin but Father Dongliang hopes that both her daughters would have good relationship. Besides, who in their right mind as a father would sow discord between his children? 😅 Much as other people think that the parents should divorce and that Father Quiao just dotes on Quiao Nan, it's not that simple. He cannot just disregard his other daughter. Frustrating as it may seem but this happens in reality. To Father's Quiao's credit, he at least knew his wife's shortcomings and try to mend things for Quiao Nan.
